actually they have done new videos & a movie last year, are making a webseries right now and are working on a new movie...

sure some of the puppeteers have died or retired but most of them are still working with the henson company.

@filegnaru I think Oz and Henson for sure have passed, but Henson's son has continued on with playing Kermit (is very close to his father's voice done with Kermit and has finally made Kermit "thin" - he tended to make his belly a little fatter) and others have taken on other roles they played. For the most part, all the characters sound very close if not exactly to the originals, and those who they had trouble doing the voices for I don't see often.

@jadewarlock steve whitemire is doing kermit since jim henson's death! brian henson has continued doing his own characters and directing.

frank oz is still alive but has moved on to directing.

another puppeteer who died is richard hunt (scooter, beaker, statler and others). the character scooter is now done by david rudman and most of his other chracters are now done by steve whitemire.

@filegnaru Actually no - his son did voice Kermit at least for a time. He may not have done as well of a job, but he did for a time - or at least a Muppet.

I stand corrected on Oz - I may have mixed him up with Mel Blanc, who has died in recent years.

@jadewarlock brian henson has NEVER done kermit. there are two main guys who did kermit (jim henson & now steve whitemire) and two other puppeteers have performed kermit: john kennedy at muppetfest 2001 and artie esposito one time on america's got talent, the mtv video music awards and the first day of the d23 expo. brian henson has never done any frogs. he did sal (the monkey), seymour (elephant), nigel, dr phil van neuter and has taken over the newsman, scooter and janice now. never any frogs.

LOL.....we always thought Animal looked like Mick Fleetwood playing drums; the look of Mick's eyes, and he sometimes had his mouth open, when he was really into drumming. We love Fleetwood Mac and the Muppets.

What made this show unique was that it wasn't a 'kid's show', it was a 'family show'! My mother couldn't wait to see the guest star- often an actress from her generation! My father enjoyed the humor in the skits (sometimes above kids heads). And we kids of course loved the Muppets- an off shoot of Sesame Street characters we grew up with! Many of the kids shows today are too childish for family viewing....
