That would depend on your point of view.

I wouldn't trust ATI to hold it's footing. Pretty soon here we're going to be looking at NVIDIA's new GTX300s, and we have no clue how powerful those things are going to be. We have a slight clue so far, I suppose, but they are supposed to be extremely powerful.

However.. I do personally agree. The ATI Radeon 5870X2s will destroy everything, concidering that a single 5870 nearly doubles the performance of a GTX285.

Oh, and the 5870 out-performs two Radeon 4870s in CrossFire. Now, imagine having 4 5870X2s in Quad CrossFireX.. That's just.. too much..

The disk transfer rate would be pretty high with two of those, but that makes absolutely no different when it comes to performance.

No, I would go with 16GB of 1022MHz DDR2 Patriot RAM, along with a AMD Phenom II 965 3.4GHz processor, quad Radeon 5870X2s, complete with Dirt 2 by Steam (which comes out Dec. 1). That, would be insane.

I don't know,but I think that compiles something and it goes faster.Look on wikipedia...There is alot of info on that stuff.
