He would cut the DEPARTMENT OF Education, which didn't exist until 1980, and is a wasteful bureaucracy we're better off without. Banks can lend to themselves and govt at 0% interest via proxy subsidiaries.

Keep locking people away? with ever increasing number of heroin-junkies? we need new approach, and drug regulation does look promising. Netherlands have shown good example, since they started regulating heroin, its use decreased by 30% and heroin-junkies have vanished from the street which decreased crime significantly. I don't agree with some of Ron Paul's policies, but apart from Obama there is no other choice for me;/

BUT.. they do have a lot of foreign commitments with all that funny money. the proposed economic system of Ron Paul isn't quite compatible with the world economy. I still agree in a lot of his values.. i think. Err.. actually isn't he in favor of eliminating almost ALL government spending? The government has to spend a lot of money just for the economy to realistically stand a chance of retaining consumer demand and growth.

Ironically, the easiest way to socialize survival-based industries such as farming, manufacturing, construction, transportation, education, and utilities is to simply conjure this money up from the highest, most credit-worthy tier of the loan creating ladder (inventing money from thin air which can actually DEFLATE the US dollar).

@BillyJoe1305 Actually, China doesn't create money like that at all. And the value of a currency is based on consumer price index and gross domestic product as well as the interest rates of the Fed. By having a money creation system similar to China, we can keep interest rates extremely low and even pay off the ENTIRE national debt in one fell swoop, which is actually the only safe way to repeal the federal reserve act. Banks can lend to themselves and govt at 0% interest via proxy subsidiaries.

Now since it is technically illegal to require somebody give you something other than Federal Reserve notes, that is unfair, to the owner. whether an item is something people need or just want is not the point the point is its not theirs. To deny that fact denies property rights, which are the basis of all rights.

A corporate structure can create money from debt safely, and if it shrinks it can restructure itself with the only noticeable difference being the relative quantity of currency contained in one country's economy. A country's economy could be composed of 100% government workers, with 80% unemployment rate, with wages being $5 a year and STILL be solid as a rock.
