It's criminal that they are not better know, I have times when I'm completely obsessed with them. Absolutely adore this song, a highlight off a staggeringly fantastic cd. It's such a shame Andy Sturmer is out of action, what a talent to enjoy though.
Worried though about the health issues associated with whatever rockstar lifestyle that would cause you to ingest some substance that would create anal leakage on a scale that induced bubbles to flow out of your butt .... concerned. Still, it was 1990 ...
I love the added perspective there! Also just wanted to point out that the ending where the chorus proceeds the guitar solo is so luring. I'm so hooked!
Listen and learn, kids for this is the twelve-tone system at work. It may not be as "cool" or "heavy" as some of the music you may enjoy, but there's more hooks in this shit than a sporting goods store, and like it or not, it is those hooks that make the girls go "I love that song".
This song is easily considered one Jellyfish's best songs amongst their fans. If you find yourself compelled to this song seemingly for no reason whatsoever, you are not alone. Us fans seem to find it irresistibly charming. This is what makes them so good, each of their songs can hold their own.. they're all gems!
First time i heard this band was this song...the music and lyrics pulled me in and I fell in love with these guys...they were way ahead of thier time and its sad that they faded away...this muisc is timeless and sounds awsome still....way more talent than most of the power pop bands for the last 10 years IMO
yeah, schylar i saw Jfish twice with Jason and he used a mustang both times. they fukkn killed live- the harmonies were perfect and jason was understated, brilliant. they made it all look so easy and those songs are not easy to pull off live.
Totally agree with Ozbucfan -- up until today, I have only heard them on CD and seen that album art. Jellyfish and the Grays were definitely overlooked and awesome bands. Thank you for posting these videos -- they are a treasure!
The SWEETEST "sing a long" pop music to come out of the 90's. I'll be careful to say of all time... but I'm sure it's damn close! Thank you Roger and Jellyfish!
Man I really have to give Andy credit because I played the drums the other night at a gig standing up on a set that is designed to be played that way and after about the third song I felt like my hip was ready to explode. That's a lot of pressure balancing on your left leg while your right foot is working the bass drum pedal. I'll take my chair anyday!
Sturmer is a complete bad ass. Playing the kit standing up? Fucking bad ass. Great voice. Best song from Bellybutton by far. Best band that nobody knows. Ever. Spilled Milk is the best quality of sound album I have ever heard. Period
most underrated band in the history of the music. two classic albums. then they just disappear. to this day Jellyfish is the only music i still hear from the early 90's. It's timeless! the closest thing today is - http://www.myspace.com/rogerjosephmanningjr. buy this CD! Absolutly amazing. one of the best CD's of the year. The Jellyfish legacy lives on!
Shit, don't apologise for the quality of the video. I've been staring at the CD cover for 10 years never having seen a video of them so this is heaven. A truly original band, one of the best of the 90's for sure. Thanks for putting it on here.

Recording engineers still adjust their control monitors using Spilt Milk. Regarded commonly as the greatest sounding rock album ever made.

Great modern-era song-oriented pop bands like Jellyfish, Rembrandts,
Ben Folds Five, Squeeze, Crowded House, and Pete Droge are unfortunately appreciated and supported by too few!

@boneypart :- Can u picture BFF doing a cover of this song? I could. Minus the guitar of course, It's BFF with a Jellyfish sense!

Just curious, is Jellyfish the only band to ever have bubbles floatin' around on stage? This song is very unique sounding. It is a Jellyfish CLASSIC!

the only nationally known. We use to use them in the late nineties but stopped because they will destroy your processors.
