Hey Ken, i first heard this song about three years ago way back when in '07 and I still love this song. Its so pretty and sad at the same time. I know Nancy will appreciate it. She and Ronnie were so close. I was so sad when he died. I remember his funeral very well. It was so sad. I remember watching Nancy climb the steps of the capital and crying. I was crying for her and the kids. Thanks for posting this video.

Oh my Lord, it is very difficult for someone to truly understand the depth of Alzheimer's. I truly believe with my heart and soul God gave you that song. My husband died of Alzheimer's in 2006. What a beautiful tribute to anyone who has loved a wonderful spouse and lost them to a horrible disease. My husband was my lover, my soul mate, my hero, and my very best friend. One of the most beautiful songs I have EVER heard..it could not have been done any better by anybody. I remember when she could not leave his casket for the last time and the 3 kids came up to help her, it broke my heart I'm fighting tears right now after seeing the pictures and "hearing" this song. October 26, 1963 is the day my parents got married.

The same amazing love story as Ron and Nancy.

My dad was born on 10/26/1927.

My mom died on 10/28/2006. She made sure that

we were OK prior 2 leave us.

I miss her so much but i know she is smiling wherever she is.

I came to this video through a link from an Alzheimer's site. I am a caregiver for my 89 year old mother who has the disease. I am not ashamed to say I wept through this as I am also in the process of The Long Goodbye to my mother. And it is tough. Thank you Ken Johnson!

Hey Ken, nice job. I really like it, its sad though. I read that you composed this listening to Mr. Reagan's funeral service. Very nice job with the lyrics. I think for most americans they really hit home, and bring peace to these families as well. I remember watching his funeral service. Very emtional time. I dont really recall his presidency as I was really young when it occured but I do understand it was a simpler time. RIP Mr. Reagan

Wow. Thanks, Ken. I don't often tear up, but uh, you know. As much as I love RR, I just get chills when I see the total and utterly giving love of Nancy Reagan. I have read a lot about RR, have read his letters and am now reading the diaries (great book), and am truly grateful to Ken Johnson for composing and assembling this magnificent tribute to the greatest president of his century, and to the woman who loved and comforted him. This is beautiful. Reminds me of that movie "The Notebook". The woman was diagnosed with Alzheimers and so wrote down the story of their lives and told her husband to read it to her once she was 'gone' and that she would come back to him. Very sad.
