I have a question. I'm saving up for a super gaming computer, like with 2 GTX 280m's SLI enabled. Is SLI annoying to deal with (does it need special attention?)? What is the desktop GPU equivalent of that? (eternalkp, you might know)
@MobiousBlack Jesus looks like the badass, hellish muzzle of a flamethrower. Just reminds me of the colour from inside an ashtray that belongs to Satan.
Dude, dats some cool stuff rite there. 4 gig ram first off all thats really cool :) and sli vid card thats so nice man.....good pc man. I want one thats all ill say ;
So? I live in kuwait, the warrenty is pointless. I would have to ship it all the way back to canada or the states to get it fixed, which I don't need to since I know a guy here who can do everything I need. Plus most of the stuff I can fix myself.
I didn't notice any increase in heat temps after I installed the lights, I am pretty sure they do generate some heat, but not enough to effect the hardware I guess :D
Are you kidding me queer? That voodoo looks like a piece of shit with all those lights in it, cmon if ur gonna put lights in it put like 1 in the bottom. Platon you don't even know shit about computers so stfu
I think building your own is better imho, though if I had the money I would buy a voodoo PC, (just for bragging rights) but I'm cheap and a penny pincher...so...
View my vid I'm updating what I'm gonna upgrade next idk I might do VGA cooling probally not since I would sell mine for the 9800 GTX soon :D... and then thing of draining the system and water cooling that bad motha ***** :D
Yo biatch Whats up havent seen ya inforever. I'm Making a Custom water cooling system gonna cost 300+ gonna be a mix of UV blue and red parts in my case hope all goes well. Also getting new case ttyl. Hows your pc doing
Nice man, my PC is basically the same, I just added in a PhysX card though :P be sure to post a video of yours man once your done with the H2O system :P
Ok, so you want to spend $6,400 on something that can't even be used yet. Why not pay Half that for the same thing, when there is actually software that can utilize it? I'll post my config (home built)and cost
Like I said 100000000 times already, I could NOT build it myself because we did NOT have the parts avaliable over here at the time I wanted to buy the PC.
I'm mostly interested in making people who get woo'd by the shiny paint and cool green fluid understand they can get the same thing for a fraction of the price. Not to mention that your $8000 rig will be eclipse in 6 months to a year by a 2,500 dell or HP off the shelf. I'm sure it is a really nice computer. I'll leave you be and stop flaming your video.
I havent bought one yet, I am waiting to the last Q of this year to see what all comes out. And I messed up I was reffering to the dual water cools cards.
Well I am not quite 40, I turned 17 in Dec, so I dont have as much as experience as you have. But I know that you have to pay to play and the Omen dosent seem to be an exception. The VooDoo PCs have won the Ultimate Computer of the year for the last 4 years. The top companies send in their absolute best rig and see how it stand, and the last 4 rimes voodoo has taken the cake.
If you know of a place that can build me one with the same parts for cheaper let me know the name, I am still open to idea. I just got switched from the Alienware ALX to the VooDoo. Like I said I couldnt find a place to build the same, and that dosent even include the fact that somehow the Omens seem to way out do comps with almost the same componets.
Everyone knows when buying any tech. that it might be outclassed in the near future. But thats never going to stop happening so you just have to deal with it. the comp I am typing on now is a 2 year old Sony Vaio, with a 2 year old Nvidia card, and it still runs most game. Including Flight Sim X.
So with that knowledge, why would you go and blow 8 grand when there aren't even any games that can take advantage of such a rig (with few exceptions)? He has dual Direct 10 cards, but there are no Direct 10 games out now. By the time the direct 10 games come out, there will be ATI's direct 10 cards and Nvidea's second gen cards out already.
But there is always something coming out. When a game comes out that requires DX10 he will have it, just because a new Gen card comes out dosent mean it is much better. The just keep releasing products to keep people buying, as I said my card is more than 2 years old and still runs modern games pretty well.
I'm not trying to give you buyers remorse...nor am I a jealous kid. I'm a 40 year old man. I've worked for Texas Instruments, Motorola, Intel, ST Micro and Microchip. cont...
Valiumsummer first off I configured one for about 6400. Alot of the price depends on what paint you use, I mean if you choose the 24kt gold case then it will run you about ten thousand. Also some parts offered by high end makers are not always avalible to individuals. And about your rant on taking a limo and stripper. the grahpics card costs a little over a thousand dollars on its own, not to mention the dual watercooling.
For the amount of money that was spent on this system you could have bought all the parts for it, assembled them yourself and had a couple grand left over. I'm amazed that people buy these things. PEOPLE... they get the same parts that everyone else does.
Maybe you should scroll down and read my comment? I would have built it myself if I could but they didnt have the parts for sale that i needed where I am currently living at. So I had to buy a pre-built.
How much would it have cost you to configure and buy a system on Avadirect, have them ship it to a friend stateside and have that friend ship it to you in Kuwait?
Voodoo computers are the male equivalent to Prada Handbags. Women spend $2000+ on a freak'n purse. They have been brainwashed into thinking its better, cooler, and HIP. I see a woman carrying a prada purse I see an idiot.
For $8000 you could have flown to San Francisco California, Hired a limo to take you to New Egg's warehouse picked up the stuff. On your return trip to Kuwait you could have had a lay over in Vegas and spent the remaining $3000 on a stripper.
Thats where H2O comes in handy lol, I already live in a very hot place so H2O working but not as good as it would work in the states. Anyways yeah I can turn off the lights, i added switches.
You are better off buying a $3000 xps than an $8000 voodoo. Benchmark them. Find the difference in performance and then ask yourself... is the voodoo's additional performance worth $5000?
Lol dont have any buddies state side that I am still in contact with :P, but yeah its true that dell XPS gets similiar results, but the parts are crap, they make their own crappy mobos, and they use some cheap ram.
