  • Comment removed

  • He handles this stuff roughly >.< well the games at least

  • Very cool! Obscure stuff like this is always fun

  • AVGN should make a video of this too :)

  • I think you got a great deal since you got alot of rate games with it and rare add on with an n64 system controller and expansion pack so I think you're really lucky 600 dollars too wow I rather buy that then a ps3 on the first day it cams out lol

  • Do you still play it today and think it was worth it or are you kind of board with it?

  • i want the disc drive

  • @0:12 240g we meet again.

  • why would you [ay 600$ for a nin 64

  • Lol he was just exhausted from opening a fucking box

  • 04:38 look at this dude's hair. Lmao it just screams 30 year old dude living in mom's basement playing obscure Japanese video games all day. He inspired the movie 40 year old virgin

  • @urmombentover More like 20 year old living at college playing obscure Japanese video games. But, you were pretty close. :-P

  • You need to show the world that mullet you got going on there. Or 80's Headbangers hair.. whatever it is, we wanna see it. @TaoNakamora

  • How can you get an N64DD without owning the original N64?

  • @QuidHD ebay?

  • @skater24481 I mean why would you pay $600 for an N64 with a Disk Drive without ever owning the original N64. It's just weird as a collector to not have an N64.

  • @QuidHD Well, I was born in 1991, so the N64 was around during my grade school years. My Dad never let me get a video game system, because he thought it would affect my grades. As a result, I couldn't get a non-handheld until the GameCube came out. So when I started collecting, I mainly went for systems that A. My friends didn't already own and B. Were rare and interesting. Many of my friends have N64s, and it's not exactly rare. In other words, I'm more interested in different ways of....

  • @QuidHD ....playing a video game than I am interested in playing individual video games. The DD had a unique format and had some unique games, so it fit right in. I'll probably get an N64 at some point, when I can find it for a good price. I only do "splurge buys" like the N64DD when I'm especially inspired.

  • Don't copy that floppy.....

  • 6:47 I loled at the sound you made.

  • Why was it so fucking massive, i mean it was almost 2x as big as the n64 AND IT ONLY INCLUDED A DISC READER THE FUCK?

  • I think the disks are actually Magnetic Disks.

  • You lucky bastard,

  • MUST......HAVE.......N64DD........NOW!!!!

  • Why didn't it release outta Japan?

'Cause it's a pile of fucking BULLSHIT!!

  • Thats not a RAM expansion, its a memory card

  • Man nice n64, I really want one!!

  • you have beautiful hands

  • well, it's a N64 DD = Disk Drive. So the games look like a floppy disk. ^_^

  • I'm very jealous

  • 7:40-7:55 nerd porn

  • be careful with those games and the dd there arn't many left in the world

  • Surprisingly watchable.

  • Very nice Unboxing! Looks like I was lucky to get it for 130 € with Xpension Kit ;)

  • @ChrisRenucci Solid price. Most of the price came from the games though, not the console itself.

  • @ChrisRenucci I got N64 with Expansion Pak for 99€. But of course it didn't have a Rumble or a Controller Pak..

  • you're so rough with your things.. it makes me crazy just to look at you handle this precious equipment.

  • @quesadillaking LOL, good guess, but most people click on this video to see the DD itself and its' games, not my ugly mug sitting in front of the camera. Figured I'd do the world a favour, eh?

  • @TaoNakamora dude he's just jealous man

  • @quesadillaking Funny you mention him not showing himself when in both of your videos, yet you don't show yourself.

  • @quesadillaking Also, from your channel: people who post videos about them playing video games, talking shit, dancing, or their opinions(video blogs) no one cares, if you do, seriously reconsider your life. Not only do you need to fix your grammar and capitalization, but you also assume people give a shit about some drunk asshole who has no friends, so therefore, he has to play a virtual version of a card game that he would be playing in real fucking life if he had friends.

  • @quesadillaking Well maybe buying this will cause him to have less money for food so he won't be fat anymore so maybe it was a good investment...?

  • @quesadillaking I'd love to see what YOUR overly judgemental punk-ass looks like...

  • I wonder what it would sound like if The Nintendo 64 -kid shout nintendo sixtyfour DD if you know what i mean.. xD

  • @Juicefani11 He would be quite the intellectual kid, since there weren't very many kid friendly games on the disk drive, just a lot of "customize your own game" stuff.

  • @TaoNakamora Interesting. Did they sell Nintendos with disc drives back then, or did they sell disc drives without Nintendos?

  • @Juicefani11 It's my understanding that Disc Drives were only available as a stand alone mainly through the mail in Japan. These things are pretty rare there as a consequence. They didn't come bundled, because it would have likely doubled the cost of the 64.

  • The sound of this expensive, beautiful plastic makes me cringe every time you throw a game around. I cried.

  • @bahooneyonastick Bwahahaha. I didn't treat them THAT badly. The audio makes it seem like I do, but I just set them down on each other in a hurried fashion, as I wanted to keep the video interesting. All of the games sit safely in a drawer now, in basically the same condition that I got them in.

  • love this stuff, but if i owned it, i wouldnt be throwing the games everywhere

  • You handle your games like a dick.

  • @MJT4FREE Hmmmm....Well put.

  • @TaoNakamora bro dont claim to be a collector and then you man handle that fzero...

nah just kidding , wow bro gz on the dd , these things are indeed the most rare and expensive nintendo format

  • Does the Disk Drive work with an American N64?

  • @ryhorn77 Yes. You will need to alter it to play the F-Zero X Expansion kit though, as it requires the use of the Japanese F-Zero X cartridge. Otherwise, all other games will work fine.

  • @TaoNakamora I read something about the Expansion Kit not to work with an american F-Zero Cartridge somewhere. Although, I thought it couldn't work because usually, there's a region lock for everything.

    Thanks for the attention.

    Subscribed ya.

  • @ryhorn77 It doesn't work with an American cartridge. Yet, if you have an American N64, a Japanese N64DD, a Japanese F-Zero X Cartridge, and a Japanese F-Zero X Expansion Kit, you can make it work. You have to mod your N64 in order to make it play the Cartridge correctly, though. I'm not sure how to do it, but there's FAQs online. You'll need a gamebit screwdriver or a bic pen and a lighter in order to open it up, just FYI.

  • @TaoNakamora You mean to make the cartridge to fit the hole? I know that, My F-zero cartridge is japanese, I didn't want a japanese one, but when I found out that The Expansion Kit couldn't work with the american one, i got happy. Most texts are in english, so it's fine. Thank you man.

  • @ryhorn77 I see, glad it worked out for you. Word up!

  • TaoNakamora Why didn't you get the Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time or The Legend Of Zelda: Majora's Mask in the Jap version?????????????

  • @Dick69Hurtz Never been a huge Zelda fan, and I'd rather just play the American version. Just personal choice though, I can see why people love the games.

  • i have 1 for sale if anyone is interested in buying one.

  • for mario artist, isnt it music, polygon, and video?

  • Other than eBay, where can I get this???

  • @sspamer Japan. No matter where you go, it's going to run you a pretty penny. You're not going to find a N64DD at someone's garage sale. There were a select few released in Japan to people who were customers of a club, so everyone who got one was a hardcore fan who knew it's value. And most store who get them in Japan price them properly. So you're kind of SOL unless you've got some major cash to spend. If nothing else, it is a good investment though, as it will only go up in value over time.

  • Now you will need the N64 mouse for those Mario artist disksand Sim city :)

  • 7:50 - 7:56 best part

  • analog cables? lol s-video much better.

  • get a stanley knife :)

  • where can i get one

  • wow, $600 dollars isn't that bad for something that awesome.

  • 2 people passed out knowing you spent $600 on this and missed the like button

  • yo the blue one is the polygon studio red is paint studio green is talent studio and the one that is white communication kit

  • Back then this thing would be considered sexy like the iphone.

  • i wanna learn Japanese so I can play this!

  • Beautiful. I have a Panasonic Q and I felt the same warm feelings unboxing that as I did watching this unboxing. Thanks for the video and also good job sending games to hard4games for review, thats really nice of you.

  • @adrian29459 Thanks man!

  • I must say if you got all of that for 600 bucks it was actaully a pretty good deal I've been recently trying to hunt one down and I've seen the disk drive alone going for 600 bucks on ebay no games and no japanese n64 which is also required.

  • Lucky

  • gibt es auch das zelda 64 auf so einer Disc Drive???

  • You are the man for having that. I try to collect myself, and you sir got a really great deal. I'm very envious. >:[

    :]

  • I watched it... and I cared

  • Hey why do some people call a n64 game a disk? like i bought Mischief Makers off Amazon, but he said *light scratces on disk* plz respond.

  • lol put it in, take it out, put it in, take it out haha :)!

  • does it only play japenese games

  • Man, you're lucky. Ive been after one of these since it first came out. Theres one on ebay for $400 (after shipping) but its just the 64dd. No games, or anything.

  • i am just going to say thankyou. i was like what the fuck is a dd. and it is just a wast of money (banjo kazzoie) :) i love it

  • 日本人は何ですか?

  • Hey Tao, I got my 64dd in January. It still works great and all, but wouldnt you agree that individual DD game prices are too high in ebay?

  • does it work on an american N64 or is it region blocked?

  • @hothmandon IT works on an American N64, but you'll have to alter it if you want to play F-Zero, since you need the Japanese version of the cartridge.

  • all that for $600 worths it

  • cool

  • Congrats man! :)
