  • Awesome machine. It's not as big and hard on the rails as the UP 3985 or the UP 844, and certainly doesn't use the insane amount of fuel either. Very nice.

  • I like the way she looks. She looks like a western engine, which I think is perfect for a Texas Railroad. She looks like she belongs in her setting.

  • I say black, silver smokebox front, pyle national light with visor, scarlet paint on windows and injectors, and lose the "backdated" stack. Hell maybe even a whaleback tender thrown in would be a bonus.

  • You sounded like Homer Simpson at 3:58

  • @Cockroach2008: Your **** makes a great target for AK rounds, this engine has been rolling down the rails and taming wilderness before your first struggle was to crawl out of a womb.

  • I hear she's down again.

  • I personally like the green paint.

  • they should put her BACK in to Southern Pacific colors.....

  • is that an SP 6 chime?

  • I'd like her better if she looked like her sister locomotive 2252, Pacific Locomotive Association was going to purchase and restore her, but the deal fell through.

  • 1:20 "Daddy, do you see that train?"

  • Nice video, wish there wasn't so much commentary.

  • Sweet

  • 2248 will weash steam as if to say, "Have you riden in some of those dieselized mother fuckers?"

  • 2248 was never one of "Walt Disney's locomotives." He never owned any standard gauge equipment.

  • dont you get out much?this is a toy loco!

  • This engine is hollywood worthy. (only if they don't destroy it though)

  • Cockroach2008 go fuck yourself!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • beutiful steam locomotive!

    love the whistle!

    have u seen canadian national 0-6-0 7470?

  • I think you would make an interesting target for a few rifle rounds.

  • @Cockroach2008 your face makes nice rifle rounds!

  • The whistle for the 4455 daylight is on display in mcpherson, ks. They could put it on compressed air and blow like heck.

  • i say put her back in her SP colors

  • Me too.

  • what a whistle!

  • That looks worthy for a western film.

  • She had her boiler retubed and repaired, along with her cylinders inspected, and her running gear looked at as well.

  • I think 2248 was built in 1897, because her sister (2252) was built in 1897.

  • Actually dude, she WAS built in 1896. I know this because I have talked to the OFFICIAL owner of 2248!

  • Hey when was she out of service, my friend and I just saw her last weekend.

  • when i said right after her work, i didn't mean that this was her first actual run. she's been running for like maybe a week or two by now. but she really has been undergoing maintainance.

  • Oh ok I see sorry bout that.

  • Nice engine, but cmon what is it, christmas? I like it better in black.
