At last part of the vid said that 1400whp on vp c23, now which fuel or boost pressure you are running now and any plans of running on the 1400whp set up? Keep up the good work
We worked pretty hard to make that Tx Mile event; the car had not been tuned on race fuel (C23) prior to showing up at the track due to our time constraints. We tuned it on race gas, on the track, over the 7 passes that weekend. We started at low boost and tuned using information from the data logs and plug readings. We'd turn it up and then tune it again. Our goal was to run 215 and leave with a healthy engine.
@FischerMotorsports A lot of higher hp cars lose motors at the mile; it is hard to run that far / long on big power and not hurt parts. The MoTeC did its job and our tune up through the progression was on. We attained our goals and decided to load up. Below are the passes and MPH we ran in order that we ran them. We ran: 178.1 182.6 188.9 192.7 205.6 210.1 215.3
The dyno pull in the video was 2 weekends after the mile at a local dyno competition. We were allowed two pulls with no tuning. It was the first time the car had been on the dyno on race fuel. We left the tune up in it from the Tx Mile because we wanted to know what it was making when we ran out 215 pass. Boost was around 29psi. This particular car did those numbers with NO port work (stock ports). Our ported head motors will produce significantly higher hp numbers.
Yes, the current plan is to return for the October event this year. We have laser scanned the entire car and have it in CAD. We've designed a cage that will live almost entirely behind the factory panels and or dash. The shoulder bar and door bars will be the only part of the cage that is visible.
Once in, we believe we have the power to run about 230mph in the mile... we'll see.

We’ll be running this car at the higher hp configuration and for the mile event in Oct once our cage is in the car.
Thanks!

Are you going to put a 8 point cage in the GT500 and go back this year to set a new record?
