  • hello betty first i would like to say you are beautiful and your food that you make look deliciouse but i am wondering what the whipped topping is? is it a cheese or whiped cream or something in that nature as i have looked in uk supermarkets and cant find this exact product. xox

  • @mrsabiankem The whipped topping is just whipping cream, whipped, with some confectioner's sugar beaten in, to taste.

  • So excited to see this video Betty. I am having a small informal gathering tomorrow and I think this would be a perfect drink to start with. Will add some OJ to it to thin a bit and some coconut rum. Going to go make a batch of now to see how it turns out. This is when you love taste testing before serving to guests! YUM I'm also making Bianca Pizza w/ my homemade sauce and crust. The saltyness of that will the light fruityness of this should be a great combo. Thanks for the share.

  • @KissHope Your menu sounds perfect! I think the fruit soup will complement your Bianca Pizza splendidly! i like your idea of adding orange juice and coconut rum. That will taste much richer. I developed this recipe, based on fruit soup that I had as an appetizer on a cruise last year. I used the fruit cocktail in order to get a concentrated amount of fruit--more than just adding individual fruits, which I would have called a smoothie. This is still flexible enough to add or change flavors.

  • @bettyskitchen

Wahooo...Ok Betty adding OJ a splash of coconut rum and a bit more of the pineapple rum made the song "I'm In Heaven"start playing in my head! lol Wheeeeeee this is gooood. lol

  • @KissHope It sounds really good!

  • fruit soup???? strange...

  • @MrTutankhamen79 Rick and I had fruit soup on a cruise last year, and I decided to replicate it in bettyskitchen.

    --Betty :)

  • Fruit Soup?!! And it isn't even cooked! Hmm...well, down the hatch and to ENJOY!! Always innovating some cool munchies, no drab foods here,...thumbs up to ya dear Betty and thankin' ya all (your cameraman too,...hehe) for the GREAT UPLOAD!! =)

  • @qualqui Thanks for the nice comment! I actually have another cool fruit soup in bettyskitchen--and it appears more like soup; this one is like a smoothie, except for the extra concentration of fruit in it.

    --Betty :)

  • This looks so delicious! LOL, I would never be able to say Fancy Frothy Fruit Soup without messing up! :-) Great video and recipe my beautiful friend. Lots of love...

    ~Amy :-)

  • @usafireandrescue Dear Amy, Thanks for the wonderful comment! I made the video before I came up with the full name of the recipe--so I was only dealing with 'Fruit Soup"--thank goodness!

    Love you much,

    --Betty :)

  • are u ok betty? u sounded a little out of breath in this video. hope ur not coming down with anything. here's to good health and happiness! thanks for another great recipe! =)

  • @IanzGurrl Hi! Yes, I am okay. I know I sounded out of breath in that video. I made it right at the beginning of summer and hadn't gotten around to uploading it until now, but thought that fruit soup sounded more summery than wintry. As I recall, the blender was downstairs, and I ran down the steps and back up the steps with the blender, right before Rick started the camera! I am doing terrific, though!

    --Betty :)

  • @bettyskitchen lol... oh, ok. that makes sense, lol. so glad to hear ur well. can't wait for ur next video =)

  • Wow...say that three times:"frothy fruit soup...frothy fruit soup..." lol Cannot wait to try this.

  • Looks refreshing...mmm

  • fruit SOUP?.... yum?

  • This would be cute with fruit garnish on the edge of the glass too, maybe add an umbrella and make it tropical looking :)

  • looks nice :)

  • Ummmm this is more like a fruit smoothie but with whipped topping

  • A fruit milkshake came to mind when I saw the final product! I bet it's delicious!!

  • I've never heard of fruit soup before, this looks lovely!

  • yum!

  • Very nice!

  • I have never heard of fruit soup before..looks yummy:).. Thanks for sharing another yummy recipe...lots of Love,Angie

  • I've made this with yogurt and thats real tasty too!! Thanks Betty

  • Good afternoon

Thank you very much for this demonstration to do a fruit soup. I really like your descriptions because you explain the ingredients and how to make your recipe. It's very important to read it with your video. I have allready saw great some descriptions on videos of one of my subscriber, she is a fan of Elvis. I really appreciate the descritptions full on videos. Thank you very much.

    Respectfully

    Your friend Sergio

  • My mom did something similar and it was pretty delicious. I will ask her if she can do your recipe. :)

  • Yeeaaaa first comment and the 6 viewer

    P.S.

Instead of using whipped topping can i use wipped cream?

  • @smileyface224973 Yes, you may use sweetened whipped cream.
