  • Dear David,

I am coarse fisherman, who has recently taken to fly fishing for carp using a dog mixer biscuit. Have you any ideas or patterns for tying flies for carp? The dog mixer biscuit is obviously a little too heavy really. I think your video's are absolutely brilliant and will enjoy tying the fly patterns you have shown in Videos 1 to 5. Truly inspirational, thank you for sharing your knowledge with everyone.

    All the best, David Richards

  • Do u think if i used black thread it would make a difference

  • This looks like it would be awesome on white bass during the run!! Thanks!

  • Excellent Videos. Your expertise is making a big difference in my ability to learn this art. Please tell me what vise you are using in your video. Thank you again, John S.

  • what kind of vise are you using ?

I am afraid to get one, and then learn that it's the one that is not so user friendly ...

  • & a big thanks fom me to !

    jörg from germany

  • thanks David

    Jim. Australia.

  • nice one dave very easy to follow thankyou.

  • just try it boozey it may work

  • could you use chenel instead of pheasant herl when tying nymphs and buzzers?? anyone. i dont see why not???

  • or you could use yarn instead of chenille?

    why not?

  • the peacock hearl give the fly a nice luminecient glow. Chenille would work, but underwater, it looks a lot duller.

  • What size beads do you use?

  • i think this fly will catch in any colour ive tied it with orange marabou and red chenille and caught fish

  • how do you think this fly will perform in the americas?

    thanks love ur vids
