So I would read these video game magazines, and it seems that every game featured in there is so great and I am excited to play them.

Hahaha, I'm reading GamePlayers Magazine from Dec. '96 right now, and reading a review of this game. Thanks for posting so I could see it. It got a 9.2/10! I love reading about video games in old magazines because if I want them today, they're usually cheap as heck!

the games back then were so much better than now...for instance spyro,crash,halo 1 combat evolved...they had more detail to the story wich was much better

These guys were in the right place at the right time and the pay off was huge. The 2 original programmers and owners of insomniac games created this and are actually in the crappy cut scenes. It's success is mostly credited to being one of the 1st PSX 1st person shooters.

In many ways this manages to feel like the precurser to the ratchet & clank series. The futuristic level designs. The weapons, the enemys, all sorta resemble what weave seen in the ratchet & clank universe.

PS1 classics on PSN for this game anyone? They probably should, i mean, they have all the spyros on there, so why shouldnt all of insomniacs games be there? and no, i did not mean to phrase it like spyro was bad, loved those games.

Rewatching it and hearing the talking during the loading screen reminds me of those awful live-action cutscreens they had. :D I miss the 90s.
