  • Direct Question (DQ):

How do you decide what your buy and sell prices are.

  • buy = mid price * (1 - volatility /1000)

So if volatility is 12% then take off 1.2% from mid on a fundamental trade

  • Thanks.

I made 50K with this already, and I haven't even had it for a day!

  • What is volatility?

  • how hilly or flat the graph is

  • My program lagg's very much. And when i wanna click on "show tips" it says i need to subscribe ? =( plz explain that

  • you get 1 fundy and 1 tech tip for free otherwise u have to pay.

  • neat really helpfull for any new mercher

    :)

  • so the g/e merch station will tell you when to Sell and buy items also what percentage there going up?

  • yes,

It is only a program so u still need to look at the graphs

  • how does this merch station help anymore than the ge database on rs homepage? the 'watch list' can be done on the rs database, u just check up on it everyday like on merch station,... im not calling this im just wondering how it benefits me as a player. Thanks.

  • The watch list is just a convenience to bring back the graphs. I guess you could book mark some pages on your browser. Merchstation also includes 5-day averages on the graphs, that I found very useful in technical trading. It also indicates volatility. Market Scan automatically selects trades suitable for fundamental and technical trading based on most recent trade data and volatility. A player can do all these things manually so it is not an unfair advantage.

  • i dont even know how to use merchstation even his guides still dont resolve the problem

  • what is the problem that he doesnt explain properly?

  • the things i get stuck on are the technical trading and stuff its confusing i dont know what a technical trade is or the other things

  • Go to the program > Exams > rookie

You will take the test and learn

  • glen, when you search an item with merchstation how dose it update the prices from jagex's database? is this a different database or do you somehow retrive the values from their database? and if yes please tell me how.

  • There are 3 sources of data

    1) Jagex Database

    2) A local Database

    3) TGE Database

We are very interested in the most recent price and that comes from the price ticker. It gives up to the minute information about price rises. This is stored in your local database and sent to the TGE database.

The program tries to keep duplicate requests to Jagex databases to a minimum as to not disrupt their operation in any way.

  • very good, i can see this beeing very helpful, 5/5

  • ily you've helped me make so much money

  • pretty awesome

  • the merch sation is it free because it looks awesome and ive downloaded it lol so hope it works i really need cash in rs.

  • most of it is free but
