really? have you listened to their other stuff? i don't think they come off as hipsters at all, their music is much more exciting than like 99% of the "hipster bands" out there now, and as far as the psych rock category goes, their lyrics are way better than a lot of psych bands. i think this band combined a lot of different elements in a really creative, accessible way. you should give them a chance!
