Le kourach (ou kurash, mot ouzbek signifiant « lutte ») est un style de lutte traditionnelle d'Asie centrale, essentiellement en Ouzbékistan.

Vieux de plus de 2500 ans, on retrouve sa trace dans les dessins et écrits sous le temps de l'empereur Tamerlan. Ce sport est très pratiqué en Ouzbékistan où les tournois rassemblent des milliers de spectateurs (jusqu'à 30 000 à Tachkent, la capitale).

vous pouvez trouver le règlement en ligne sur le site Ufolep arts martiaux car le kourach est géré par le Comité national français de lutte kourach, association nationale affiliée à la fédération internationale IKA et conventionnée en France avec la fédération multisports UFOLEP, ce qui lui permet de faire partie d'une fédération nationale reconnue par le CNOSF.

Des Chts nationaux ont lieu chaque année durant le WE de pentecôte. Le prochain à Limoges en juin prochain. 117 pays sont affilés.

@moelicious416 Yes, but Brazilian Jiu Jitsu has the best ground game and most Judokas are not that proficient on the ground, including Olympic Judo players. Also if you have a decent level of proficiency with throws and controlling guys by grabbing their cloth, that is more than enough to handle yourself self-defense wise, not to mention the brutality of getting thrown on concrete.

I think there is no newaza and leg grabs in kurash. But allows both. (judo doesn't allow grabbing the pants just leg itself)

I'm OK with you , I think, kurash can be olympic...but it's a fun sport. I do kurash in France and a lot of judoka come to try and they say that more explosif and dynamic .

I think it's a very good sport to complete training in judo.

For sambo it's different, for moment (between 20 years) it's the "war" internatioanl sambo, and "russia mafia" is in sambo. For european it's very difficult to practice in International...Sambo is very sympathic but it's also very, very differnet than kurash ...

The KURASH is an official sport and an old wrestling (more 2500 years). The style "judo" is young (200 years only). It's also a big sport.

For me Kurash is more explosiv" and more "interesting" than judo. I think the "new rules" of judo go to change and go to "kurash rules".

For us we do kurash and judo.
