One of the worst films I have ever seen and this is coming from a fan of 80's slashers,It was painfully boring among other things,and seeing you liked this and halloween 2 I can safely say you have terrible taste in horror films

its just my opinion but i respectfully disagree i just didnt like it sure they wrapped up 4 movies in one but when jason used a bow that was it for me and yeh friday the thirteenth needs retarded teenagers but not retarded actors,and the sex scenes sure but dont show every one 4-6 min. long...

not hatin' on your review homie, but fyi, this is not the first flick that jason actually ran, he ran in part 2, 3, and 4...then in part 6 started his fast pimp stroll...but, as i said, if some of you liked it, great, i thought it was ok, but i'm more of a fan of the old schools...part 4 prob being my fav...i just wish they wud stop remakin' these old flicks and come up wit some original shit, maybe not even new concepts, but damn, maybe a new slasher dude, maybe freddy voorhees ha jk...

I rather enjoyed the Friday the 13th remake, much better than several of the later Friday the 13th that Paramount and New Line produced. I like that they Jason a more "realistic" persona. I have heard that Friday the 13th part 2 (2010) will take place in winter.....ah yes, Jason in the snow.

Yeah man i agree, I loved it! Well the first hour then the last 30 mins went down i think. Otherwise my theatre was packed last night (it came out in Australia 2 nights ago) and the cinema crowd had such a great time, they were cheering Jason on, rounds of applause plus the movie had genuine funny moments. I think this is a cinema watch as opposed to a rental, its been way too long.!

I have to say that i was very dissapointed with it and i mean no disrespect to whoever did enjoy it. I can totally understand rebooting the franchise, but this was just the EXACT same thing as before. They added NOTHING new to classify it as a reboot/remake. You could see the kills coming from a mile away and they werent great, it wasnt scary in the slightest, etc. I will say that the chicks in this movie were SMOKIN'. GREAT T AND A. Marcus Nispel did WAY better with the Texas Chainsaw remake.

I agree with everything that you said. It really was a dissapointment and the direction the movie went and how the characters responded was crappy. I was hoping for better atmosphere and better kills in this, but some were ok, but overall as far as story, pacing, scares( where were they??) direction, acting, ect, I was very disappointed to say the least. The only thing good in the movie were the chicks and the previews they showed BEFORE the movie!!!

i also agree. outside of the ocassional "cheap scares" (where something randomly jumps out) it was not scary. the special effects were good but the movie relied too much on them.

Hated it.....typical "teenage" horror movie. Noone has original ideas for horror movies anymore....I am sick of remake of classics....if you want to watch good horror movies watch the classics and independant films,the only originality left if film.

To a certain extent, yes you are right. But this one horror movie i just liked it alot. The otheres i dident really care for. such as the halloween remake and my bloody valentine and many more. I liked this one because i just love friday the 13th. But even if you havent watched any of the original ones it is still fun for someone to go and see this.

You say this was a good remake to the original film, when in the original film there was no Jason? It was his mother killing everyone! Jason came alone in part 2, and it wasnt even until part3 when he got the hockey mask! so basically this new FRIDAY THE 13TH film was just a remake of 1,2 and 3 all in one movie!
