When you go into the command promt to make the usb bootable im having an issue and i was hoping you or someone could help. After typing the syslinux.exe -ma f: i get a message saying

"Accessing physical drive: Access is denied.

Did not successfully update MBR; continuing..."

then it drops down a line with my usb name. Whats going on and how can i fix it? i really need to get into my desktop asap. Thank you :).

THANK YOU! I forgot the Admin password to an old laptop of mine, your video + the Offline NT password editor worked like a charm. I burned the iso file to a CD, booted from it and made the necessary changes. My system = gateway laptop windows xp professional. Thanks again

@naz7dotcom @naz7dotcom Hmmm, sounds like your Master Boot Record is screwed up.

So you've got to put in your Windows 7 or Vista DVD and boot from it, when in there theres and option to repair, click that and then click CMD or Command Prompt. Use these commands:

Bootrec followed by a command, probably fixmbr in your case

eg. Bootrec /fixmbr

If you just type bootrec it should give you all of the commands.

But Jordan's PC seems like the computer name not the username.

Turn on the computer to where it asks for the password, what is the name there?

hai use camtasia studio ok are you a girl or a boy i didnt get it and some one is teasing you from back at around 4.00th minute of your video thanks for the tutorials i think i will just burn the cd i didnt get the bootable usb thing u were using sandisk usb right and i dont want to mess around with the bios i messed with it once and was in trouble

Active password changer is better, it comes on the Hirens boot CD.

You dont have to go into Bios to boot from a USB just press the boot order button usually F11 or F12, also forcing the computer to shutdown wont effect it booting to USB.
