Why would anyone pay attention to a leftwing clown who couldn't even make GS-13 in the CIA? And one who spent his entire "career" shuffling papers at Langley, and whose most exciting overseas assignment were management seminars in the Bahamas (at our expense).
Here's an economics analyst who never had a spook job in his life, and whose only thrill was getting to read stuff every morning to the President ... stuff that REAL CIA officers wrote.
"Nice try trying to marginalize what McGovern has to say"
I notice you don't even try to dispute that McGovern was just a mid-grade economics analyst - an administrative weenie with absolutely NO ops experience.
Outside of economics, what expertise does he have? Zip.
But he can con the illiterati who know squat about intel, or Washington, or how things work, but gladly lick the scrotum of any leftist poseur.
Nice to augment a tiny CIA retirement check by selling swill to the suckers.
"the criteria is..You have to have been a deep cover CIA agent in order to say something about the CIA and American policy"
No, dipshit. His point is that a freakin' mid-level economist pretending to be some sort of authority on geopolitics and special ops is simply a poseur -- basically a fraud.
And I think the word you were looking for is 'criterion,' not 'criteria."
Well, number #1, Chopper DipShit, I'm not going to take your word- or the word of any website you can name - that McGovern was "only" an economist at the CIA.
And what if he was? This means what? He knows nothing of what goes on/went on? So what the fuck do YOU know that invalidates what he is saying? Nothing. I thought so. Again: McGovern is an American speaking about the moral issues involved with the CIA's activities.
And, yes, the word is criterion. Thank for the correction.
"McGovern's biography states that he was "only" a CIA economist"
Well, OK, if true, what that means, you simple-minded twat, is that he has a very good idea where the funding for projects X, Y, and Z were going, and what those projects, ostensibly, were about.
And "the janitor" at CIA knows as much as McGovern? I say put a tail on that janitor!
Furthermore, the criterion for speaking up about the actions of the American gov is citizenship. Nothing more. No CIA experience required.
Apparently you pick and choose which comments you read and ignore the reast. A repition for emphasis:
It is the job of ALL Americans to be informed about the actions that our government does on our behalf with our tax money. The requirements: American citizenship. I am an American. What the hell kind of crypto-Nazi are you? We all have a say. Not only those who agree with your pre-fabricated brand of easy patriotism.

If you have the balls (unlikely) watch a video called 'Closing the School of Assassins (School of the Americas)' here on YouTube posted by talkingsticktv. The video is an extended interview with Father Roy Bourgeois, veteran of the Vietnam conflict and Catholic priest.
After you've viewed it, come back with another list of credentials that, according to you, are required in order to speak out about your government. If it were up to you, everyone would be silenced.
"Father Roy Bourgeois, veteran of the Vietnam conflict and Catholic priest"
Oh yeah, there's a real unbiased analysis of the SOA. Any leftist cunt with the usual Hate-America routine, and you lick the corn right out of his shit.
So we teach other countries' military the same shit we teach here to our own special ops & other agents ... BFD.
Better than pissing away tax dollars on Carter & Clinton giveaways to the degenerate lower classes.
Furthermore, Chopper DipShit, if Carter and Clinton were gving away so much money to the "degenerate lower classes", how come they're still lower class? And what about the giveaways to the wealthy by Reagan and the Bushes? And what about the giveaways to coporations? Of course, in your mush-brained school of thought, these are not giveaways; these are the way things are suppposed to be. Got it, man. You're a fucking cliche from the word go. Go!
It sure does. By giving tax breaks only to the rich, and getting the poor and middle classes to fund thier wars overseas. Along with giveaways to coporations who take jobs away from Americans and give them to Indians and Chinese. "Democrats love (the) welfare plantation"? That was dismantled during Clinton, sweetheart. Republicans love the idea of lining their pockets as thick as they can while they are in office. How thick are yours?
"Government money perpetuates poverty, even encourages it"
If government money encourage and perpetuates poverty, how come the coroporate members and the wealthy who receive massive tax breaks aren't living in poverty then?
Your argument holds no water.
You just want the rich to keep getting richer and you like it that way. Hope you're on the right side of the fence, sweetheart. Keep lookin' down your nose at the rest of us & stand tall. Those poor corporate board members! (*sniffle*)

Funny, not once did these main media motherfuckers ever ask Cheney, Rumsfeld or any of the lying pro-war camp to present a shed of evidence about anything.
I was very surprised to hear tucker say one time that he was a big supporter of Ron Paul.. Yeah! imagine that.. a mainstream media talking head going against the grain and voicing his opinion about Ron Paul being the

War is the means by which profit can be extracted from a populous through its government.
Governments by nature are tasked with defense and have taxation power. Getting a nation to go to war is the same as getting its citizen to shop in your store.
Bush criticized President Clinton: George W. Bush, 4/9/99, Houston Chronicle: "Victory means exit strategy, and it's important for the president to explain to us what the exit strategy is."
And on the specific need for a timetable: George W. Bush, 6/5/99, Scripps Howard/Seattle Post-Intelligencer: "I think it's also important for the president to lay out a timetable as to how long they will be involved and when they will be withdrawn."
Regardless of whether or not this is legit - who knows - all we know is that Ron Paul was prescient enough to vote against the war from the very start. None of this would have transpired had he been our leader.

Scooter Libby, Cheney's top aid is convicted for lying while interrogated about when, how he knew about Valerie Plame. Jury members said in press conference that according to evidence Libby was the scapgoat and he wasn't the main responsible. Cheney, and Rove's names came up many many many times. This case is more of a slam dunk than Iraq's WMD claim to go to war for christ sake!!!!!
No no... U dont have to believe an actual analyst. But here are the facts: Cheney claims Saddam wanted to get Yellow cake from Niger. Document he based his claim on was obtained by Italian journalist from a former Italian policeman who is also an informant or a source for Italian secrect service. CIA doubts the claim. Joseph Wilson is dispatched to Niger to probe claim. Wilson published Op-ed in NY Times. Valerie Plame's name surfaces all of a sudden. .
Carlson is a fucking brat. He think he's so smart cause he used to wear a bow-tie until Stewart made a joke outta him. "ooooh, you have no proof! Haha! I got you."
haha you're retarded. 1) he proved stewart wrong by having this show in the first place 2) he was always against the war in iraq 3) he still wears bow-ties.
People watch that fool Carlson? Thats hilarious. He should be hiding his head in shame after being beat up by Stewart. I guess Carlson has some value as a clown.
What about Wolfowitz's Office of Special Plans? It created most of the fake "intelligence" used to get us into the war.
Paul Wolfowitz is deperately trying to hold on his position as head of the World Bank because it keeps him immune from prosecution and probably from even testifying before congress.
Well, this is TPM, so we know that Italian intelligence agents produced the forgeries from somewhere. To judge that someone in the neocon war faction ordered their fabrication in some twisty way is a no-brainer. As Josh and company stated last year, the story of the forgery project is key to the entire satanic war's origin.
Agree. I want to hear what this "evidence" is that he claims to have. Although I think he's likely full of shit I wouldn't put it past Cheney's crew to whip up some fake documents to get us into a war. But until I see the evidence this guy has I'm calling bullshit. Still, Congress needs to talk to this guy.
Wikipedia: On June 1, 2006, McGovern said, on the Alex Jones radio show, that staged terror attacks across Europe and the U.S. are
"probable" in order to justify a potential invasion of Iran. In a piece he co-authored with David MacMichael, McGovern accuses both Ronald Reagan (for supporting the Contras against the Sandinistas) and George H.W. Bush (for going to war in Iraq in 1991) misused or manufactured intelligence.
Dude. Don't ever quote wikipedia. ANYONE can modify, instantly, what is put in wikipedia. Quote a blog, a newspaper, a book, but don't quote wikipedia.
I believe that McGovern has the 'goods'. In addition, a fair number of articles as well as germane blogs have posted much of this material. It is not that it is rocket science. But Carlson is a neocon wannabe but is simple minded and probably has no clue. But if he does, he would not say so.
It would seem that this is the single most important part of the story and if that memo did in fact originate at the behest of the neocons then I imagine many heads will roll. Someone will first talk then it will be like dominoes.
I wouldn't put it past Cheney to do almost anything, except serve in the military (5 deferments). He is the prototypical sort of man who believes the ends justify the means.
I just watched the whole interview, and McGovern didn't just volunteer this. Carlson asked him about it, so he said I think Cheney has something to do with it.
So he wasn't trying to make some shocking announcement.

Government money perpetuates poverty, even encourages it -- which is why the Democrats love the idea: it keeps voters on their welfare plantation.

congress needs to call this guy to testify and ask him who else they should talk to

As Josh and company stated last year, the story of the forgery project is key to the entire satanic war's origin.

tucker is such a fucking tit!!!!!!!!! The memo about yellow cake from niger was created by rocky martino (TPM TV) and sold to a reporter in Rome.

Congress, call this man to testify. Josh, what do you think he's talking about?
jimbojim68 4 years ago

Quote a blog, a newspaper, a book, but don't quote wikipedia.

oK if you can modify the wikipedia then you can modify it if you see something wrong

I believe that McGovern has the 'goods'. In addition, a fair number of articles as well as germane blogs have posted much of this material. It is not that it is rocket science. But Carlson is a neocon wannabe but is simple minded and probably has no clue. But if he does, he would not say so.

I don't know what to make of this.

I like McGovern, and who knows, he may be right, but he should keep quiet until he has the goods.
safuna 4 years ago
He may have withheld it from Tucker because he's already given it to Congress. We'll see.

I just watched the whole interview, and McGovern didn't just volunteer this. Carlson asked him about it, so he said I think Cheney has something to do with it.
So he wasn't trying to make some shocking announcement.
