  • When you check the map, there's all those grey areas in the rock which you assume is just rock that you'd die if you teleported into it. However, I do know that it's not always the case as I once teleported into a larger wall set and it the square I was in was hollow! There was nothing there of interested that I could detect but it makes me wonder if there's still any undocumented, unfound secrets still hidden deep within somewhere. Who has the time or inclination to look though

  • Best. Game. Ever!

  • Those nether demons were the worst!

  • very helpful thank you

  • Top Secret Area!! I didn't think an old game like Wizardry actually had a superboss but what do you know?

(And I can't still barely survive floor 1....)

  • @fenris91

Welcome to Wizardry. Deposit your soul and dignity at the door and make sure to clean your pride up off the floor when you're finished.

No freaking joke. Almost every "modern" dungeon game I've never had a problem with like Torchlight, Etrian Odyssey and Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey, but pure Wizardry is still the most intense experience EVER.

Wizardry V and below are pretty much the forefathers of FP Dungeon Crawlers, and they're more or less the hardest. Nothing says "HAHA YOU LOSE" like accidentally falling into Level 777.

Nothing says "YOU LOSE" like falling into pits, either, and this game has you doing that very often.

  • @SirFuzzi actually i think Rogue and roguelikes like Nethack are the forefathers but yeah wizardry is an influence
