  • those things are cute :D

  • Aw, I wish we had some of those here.

  • What country was this shot in?

  • England

  • It's a good thing stoats aren't venomous.

  • @kozmon0t no, funny thing is that weasles eat snakes too, so they endure poison

  • @vagoperezoso people don't endure poison. If stoats were poisonous, they'd be eating people. There would be no escape.

  • @scarefiction yes,but stoats are bigger and stronger

  • do you trap them im sure at the farm its what we trap in a fenn mark 6

  • A Fenn in a stone tunnel is a good way to control them but I tend to leave them around my place as I don't shoot the rabbits there so the stoats do a bit of natural control. Also, we often get rats at the end of my drive where the birds are fed so the stoats do a clean up job there too.

When I get round to getting chickens, my policy may change as stoats can be murderous little buggers.

  • so cute !!!!!

  • so is a stoat the same thing as a ferret?

  • Same family but smaller, quicker and deadlier.

  • @pondguru hello again nice video captured of stoat

  • @hcoboyinmi a stoat is like a mink.

  • @hcoboyinmi there are from the same family (marten) but a ferret is a pet and more related to the polecat

  • I wish I had that much energy.

  • I never heard of a Stoat, adorable! Great video. Never heard of a slow worm or a water shrew either. :(

  • Trying to video a water shrew will be super difficult as they move like lightning but there is a video of a slow worm on my wildlife and bushcraft playlist - they are a legless lizard, although they look just like a snake.

  • Yes, but a weasel is weasily recognised and a stoat is stoatally different.

  • @pondguru HAHAHAHAHAHA!

  • The stoats didn't run away. They just let your cat live. lol

  • Realistically, if the stoats didn't run away, they could have probably killed the cat. One of 'em can take down and kill a full grown rabbit, which are only a little bit smaller than cats. O_o Stoats are crazy.

  • They truly are nuts.

  • @pondguru lol, yup!

  • thats v cool to get stoats in your garden :)

  • I can't think of any local species that hasn't been spotted in the garden. Some good, some not so good. These are somewhere in the middle as they eat mice and rats but also eat the slow worms and water shrews. Hmmmmmm.....

  • wow hahahhh i love this video.. this is AWESOME!

    much love

  • Thanks for watching. Glad you enjoyed it.

  • That was adorably funny! Thanks for posting :) ~Julie

  • There are loads of good wildlife events happening in my garden, but it is rare to film them.

  • wow lol

  • Your garden really is a magnet for wildlife. You keep cats? Funny, I always thought you were a dog-person.

  • I can't get away with dogs at all. I hate the smell of them and while most people will agree that cats are evil, I like their mellow attitude to life.

  • looks like a cross between a weasel and ferret. funny little animals. they look a little mean, got that crazy look in there eyes, lol.

  • I have had two days of watching them go ape. They are mad creatures.
