if your having trouble with a loss of power cuz of the taller tires drop your gearing. I actually don't know If you can lower a quads gearing?? but good luck.

@tatsurekon when you go with bigger tires, you do not lose power if you have enough torque to make them spin like hell, you can put any set of tires for atv on a Renegade 800 and will not lower the power, put the Renegade in LOW and floor it, and I guarantee you'll flip with it, even with 32" Silverbacks

The only thing bigger tires cause are greater top speed,more grip in mud,water, or sand with paddles like these

@Maxomath You will lose power no matter how much you have. The bigger tire acts as taller gearing and it is also acts like a flywheel, it takes a lot of power to get the spinning.

@UncleBubbles94 of course, yeah I shoud of said that, its does take a lot of power, but with the renegade 800 there isn't a huge power loss, if he feel a big difference in the power loss, he could gained it back with a new after market clutch and a HMF full system exhaust, he'll be going faster then before he had does tires

The bigger the tire the more horse power you lose, even in the mud. I use 26" on my renegade after watching my friends try bigger tires and would get no further with them, plus I still keep a hole shot advantage on dry pack!!!!

i got a renegade with power commander and pipe and raced a thundercat... they need to call it the Purringcat 1000... haha... bigger motor doesnt mean more power .... and you are lying... if your dad had a set of balls.. he wouldnt trade that in for a prowler... next time actually ride the quad instead of reading the brochure

hey vavending i like my silverbacks alot they are a soft rubber so it well wear fast on had pack places my friend has the edls and he like them i think the outlaws are a harder rubber but they dont have the nice side lug like the silver backs do hope that helps you out and one more thing the silverbacks are a lot lighter 42 pounds rim and tire to the outlaws and the edls are 40 something just the tire
