Perhaps, it may be easier to get non-cyclists to join you in your campaign if you exhibit safe and friendly cycling conduct. On the next CM you can establish and promote some rules such as riding all in one lane, signaling, riding as a pack, using blinkies and helmets, and of course following common traffic laws.
