  • i just bought one used for 50 bucks in great condition very happy.. what more could u want from an amp that takes 6 double As... this is the most bad ass battery amp ive had so far and i had a pignose as well.. and a tiny little fender 9 volt one

  • the description to this video is hilarious.....

  • Sounds too bright, indeed. And, of course, better to use an acoustic sound.

  • @christillusion78

the effects of the microcube are the great problem of this amp.. you can't choose the parameters of all the effects..

  • SEE THIS AMP:

    youtube.com/watch?v=YHfoON7ukSc

  • Sounds thin.

  • beginig is screwed up a bit, and no this amp sounds really bad, and for this song it should have been SUPER CLEAN or acoustic

  • It comes with a AC wall adapter, and can run off 6 AA batteries, too. Great little amp... snatch one up used for a great deal!

  • This song isn't for eletric guitar

  • @OndrejCvrk any song for any guitar man ;D

  • Have you tried the headphone out? If so, does it sound good?

  • no please , stoppppp

  • is that guitar made out of plastic?

  • my computercase is vibrating because of your chorus

  • not a stagg

  • well done! :)

  • the headstock says stagg

  • Stagg, as cheesy and cheap as the name sounds, I have played numerous electric and acoustic models, and read a lot of the specs for various Stagg guitars, and in all reality, they actually offer more "bang for buck" than the squires and epiphones of the world. Example: they have a strat copy, body is solid alder, neck is one piece maple, rosewood or maple FB, decent factory setup, decent factory fretwork. It sells for like 110, and for that I wouldn't expect more than basswood and jagged frets.

  • @punkeratheart then you should try the squire classic vibe serie, sounds like the price range is similar to stagg but the quality is pure awesome. the classic vibe 60 strat was awarded for the best guitar under £500, they even beat the mexican fenders

  • @Junqing Yeah, the mexi-fenders come stock with ceramic bar-magnet pickups, the classic vibes have very nice medium output alnico-V pickups, and the 60's strat is alder like a us strat. The classic vibe teles are pine-bodied, but that is because the original "broadcaster" was pine, and I use pine for my boutique 1x12, 2x12, and 4x10 cabs, and it has wonderfully rich and full tone. I also have a squier strat and 3 squier teles (standard series), all of them have GFS pickups, and I love them.

  • @punkeratheart are the squier standard series good too? i honestly only have tried the classic vibe 60 strat and cv 50 tele... those impressed me deeply, hows the neck on the standard series? im considering upgrade the brigde on my strat :)

  • @Junqing The strat is good for the price, the tele is simply amazing, BUT, do NOT order one online. You really have to go to a brick and mortar location and try out 10 of them to pick the one that has the best tone. They are agathis, which is pretty stable, but some of them have seams down the center of the body, and some are just dead pieces. However, get a good one that resonates against your abdomen (unplugged) and throw on GFS alnico fatbody single coils, and it's a KILLER tele.

  • @punkeratheart great :D thx for the advice :D i actually got my cv 60 over the internet but i really like this one i got, guess i got lucky :D

  • @Junqing Cool, I want the 60 CV strat, I have looked at it (the specs) and it looks like something I would maybe swap out the bridge pickup in it for a quarter-Lb, but other than that I'd leave it alone, and for me to leave well enough alone, it HAS TO BE GOOD!

  • @punkeratheart yeah the neck feels amazing, and pretty good specs. well the hardware could be upgradable, but man this guitar feels just awesome. im considering to put the tone pot on brigde instead of middle tho, the pickups sounds really good :) now im considering gettin the 50 strat as well ^^

  • @Junqing I am considering one of the other tele models, the one with the pine body. Yeah, that's right, PINE! I make cabinets out of it 5-6 days a week, it is a VERY acoustically balanced and rich wood, and quite resonant. I imagine the tele is going to feel wonderful in my hands, I am going to try it out at a small music store in RI. Three cheers for small music stores! (the few that are left) That's where I got my standard, and they are the ONLY brick & mortar location with dano fab pedals.

  • @punkeratheart haha awesome! yeah i saw that tele model, kinda want to try it out too. Never tried a guitar made of pine wood, very curious of how it would sound! :D You make cabinets? thats sounds awesome! :D i love small music shops too, only disadvantage is they tend to be a little more expensive :P

  • @Junqing Not the one I go to. If you'e ever in Warwick RI, check out Al Trombetti's Music Center. They actually sell Fender and Squier stuff for the same price as GC, except when a guitar has become "shop-worn", they actually knock a few bucks off the price. GC won't. I don't remember if they are a Gibson dealer, they have a lot of Fender & Squier models, and Gretsch, and some pretty obscure stuff too (like all little places). I am going there tomorrow to get another standard (tele or strat).

  • @punkeratheart that sounds awesome :D actually shop worn guitars are pretty nice :P squier standard?

  • @Junqing Oh yeah, shop worn is great. And remember, squier standard series (went, didn't end up getting one, sad trip home last night) are 3 piece bodies made of agathis, which has a tone that is similar to mahogany, just a little brighter. The 3 pieces are one center plank that goes from 2" or so above to 2" or so below the pickups, neck pocket, bridge, then 2 smaller pieces. The neck, hardware, and electronics are all in 1 piece of wood. They now have good hardware too, even DECENT pickups.

  • @punkeratheart damn u sure know how to treat/upgrade ur guitar! sounds great :D im considering to upgrade my cv... but everything are great on it, just might change the brigde block :P

  • @Junqing Always a good idea, even with an american standard, the stock trem block can be upgraded to solid brass or steel. GFS has them for 12 or 13 bucks, so how can you go wrong. While you're at it, get brass or graphite saddles and a graphite nut. These little parts are actually profoundly effective in opening up the tone of any guitar. The difference is noticeable, and it's a cheap way to upgrade.

  • @Junqing Of course, they have staggered poles on the strats and I always change them out. I am eventually going to find a standard strat and put in a calibrated set of GFS Brighton Rocks, a brass trem block, and graphite nut and saddles. Kinda like a Brian May Strat. With the resonance of the agathis, the brightness of the bolt-on neck, the warmth of the rosewood board, and the increased bandwidth of the 1/4" pole-pieces (P-bass poles), I will get the richest strat tone ever. (fingers crossed)

  • it's a spcsrth

  • for all you asking what kind of guitar it is. pause the video at 2:23 whatever the headstock says i'm guessing thats the type of guitar it is. unless he put a different headstock on it.

  • its a prs im pretty sure. looks like the same headstock i have

  • @Doko456 It is a Stagg. A CHEAPO guitar that looks similar to a PRS without the quality or tone.

  • it be a schecter.

  • may ernie ball :P

  • what's the guitar you'r playin???? (in this vid)

  • I think its an ibanez of the S or SA-series

  • lol at 3:13 =D

  • No, but it comes with the guitar player..

  • @jansonmorr I don't know what you were replying to, but your answer is hilarious!

    Peace

  • does it come with a jack?

  • i just scored one for 40 buks! whoo!!

  • go smaller....try the mobile cube....just as good..possibly better...runs on 6 AAs....AND about half the size....SOOOOOO cute!

  • O.O lol

  • lol u over cooked the effects man.

they are the best sounding amp for the money though.

  • true.. Would sound better more clean

  • wow fail!! left out like half the solo and with those effects it sounds horrible

  • you suck

  • great amps , i got one , now i wana learn this song .

    well done :))

  • Well played. I'm hoping to get a Micro Cube myself over the weekend.

  • I think this sounds great just as he played it. It's his interpretation not an exact rendition. Very nice playing and that Micro Cube is the bomb.

  • not a good effect to choose for this song, it makes some of the notes seem out of tune.

  • Does anybody know the wattage on this amp? I have it but I have don't know how many watts it is. It goes pretty loud though.

  • 2 watts, I think...don't quote me on that.

  • Really? Wow it sounds a whole lot more than that.

  • go the phaser effect

  • Why don't we stop picking on this guy. He is an older fella strummin away on a guitar, what the hell is wrong with that? Somebody is watching his video big time!

  • Sounds crappy somehow

  • You play good but that amp isn't quite set right.

  • I played a gig with this in front of 2000 people and it worked really great!

    Just kidding.

  • sounds shit played on electric and with modulation but other than that prob sound a lot better acoustic

  • Can you read sheet music or did you just do this (terribly) by ear?

  • I dont have any videos. SO WHAT? You dont have too, so... that was a self pwnage?

What is wrong with you people?

Go bash DragonForce videos because they dont play live like they do on studio.

  • yeah i saw dragonforce when i went to mayhem festival. they blew huge cock

  • Because their always drunk.. they got put infront of ALOT of people and spectators from guitar magazine to play as fast as they do in the studio and it was the same.. herman li just is a drunk when their live.. but i hate Dragonforce so they blow cock :)

  • I love it. Wish you were here by pink floyd is one of my favourite songs.

The cover has too much chorus and isnt like the original... So what?? the guy wanted to make something different, we have to give him credit, not bashing him.

Keep it up :) I have a Roland Cube 30X and I love it :D:D:D

  • what the fuck!?

  • Right, you don't have any videos period and probably don't play, so screw off. There's too much modulation, but he plays decently.

  • Yeah man. I have videos up, so what? I say this guy is cool. He is layin down some Floyd!

  • have you heard the solo before?

  • Messed up the first solo and your using way to much flanger/reverb, nice amp though. :)

  • ahhhhhhhhhhhhh too much chorus

  • @christillusion78 agreed only that it's not chorus.it's either flanger or phaser, you can hear the woooooooooo-aaaaaaaaaaaaahhhh-ooooooooooooooooo in the back.

  • dude the effects are fine its the mic on the camera it sucks i have this amp and it sounds wicked

  • dude shut the fuck up about the effects

  • What settings did you use

  • its chorus

  • rofl

  • maybe if you played that song a little bit better that amp would sound better. Because I have and it actually sounds good.

  • Definitely not a Les Paul and definitely not Epiphone, I think it's one of those cheap noname guitars.

  • I Think It's An Se Line PRS Guitar

  • They come in red? That's it! I am getting one of these for myself. I already got one for my nephew, great practise amp too!

  • lol you're getting it because it's red it sounds like.

  • No I have one sitting next to me. I am getting one because it sounds good. I am getting a red one cause that's cool.

  • lol :P

but yeah, pretty good amp for the size.. bring it wherever. :o

  • I have a video up for the Microcube, check it out...you can bring it with you too! haha

  • This was the best starter amp, until the new Micro Cube RX came along....Roland is the shit. Nice playing, by the way.

  • I heard this amp uses batteries but, can you also plug it in the socket?(not sure if 'socket' is the right word XD maybe it supposed to be one of these : power-point, wall socket, plug socket, wall plug, eletric point.)

I hope you know what i mean :p

  • I just got one today! Great lil amp (and LOUD) You can plug it in.

  • The amp uses an external transf for power supply, so you can use any power wall socket, according the voltage in the external main power supply provided..., and the AA batteries additionaly.

  • yes, 9 volt adapter.

  • microcube is the best starter amp ever created

  • I have a question for anyvody who has played the micro cube or owns one. Would this be a good starter amp over the Line 6 Spider III 15watt?

  • im buyin one of my buddy right now. id saay its good cuz its only aorund 100 bucks (myaye 130), its very compact and portable, and its stirdale made (that mesh thing on the speaker is pure steal). You can get some good punch volume out of it too. Of course a huge ass amp is nice, but if ur starting, itl be a good choice. Cheap, and u can take it every where with u, cuz its so small (its got a handle on it) - srry i have no idea what that other amp is, but hope that helps.

  • I remember playing my with my old Mexi-strat during the bad Washington storm/blackout of `06. That and a good glass of scotch helped me pass the time like nobody's business until the lights came back on and everyone stayed with me. If you have a little extra cashola, check out the new Cube RX. I'd take it easily over the Line 6. Good stuff.

  • the roland cube amps r actually amazing, i have the roland 60 amp and its a powerful and versatile amp. Gives great sound.. good job by the way dude. keep on playin :)

  • you messed up a bit at the beginning. good job though.

  • very nice in deed

  • uhm if u have a tube amp you would understand my fender is too loud for my apartment on 1 and the knob goes to 12 to give you an idea... i can't wait to get a microcube so i can have a practice amp!!!!!

  • cubes are awesome!

    Mine's a black one..

  • hahaa really??same here! how cool... dont u love how they are so portable and convienient yet they have awesome distortion?

  • i luv the micro cube i hav one and itz awesome

  • love the Microcube and it runs on batteries. A step up from the old Pignose I had (which was pretty cool too).

  • love that album

  • I KNOW me too

  • i hate to say it but i use my red cube, more often than my tube amp, it's too loud. lol

  • i have the same amp and its awesome for such a small amp.

  • i have the same amp too. i totally c wat ur saying

  • what the strum pattern here?

  • good question. idk y u got so many negative rates on that comment

  • would this amp work well with an acoustic-electric guitar?

  • I tried with a Seymor Duncan - passive pic-uo, and it goes!, but is better to use an active one, the amb needs more signal.

    Thanks for the comment.

  • Yes, he does! Just set it on "Acoustic" and it sounds great!

    I own a Ovation Celebrity CC68 and a Norman B-20 (12) with Fishman System 1.

Both sound great on that amp!

Just if you want some more "Bass"-Power, you should take a bigger one, maybe a Cube 30 or 60.

Acoustic guitars sound best with acoustic guitar amps. Roland has the "AC"-Family this reason.

  • yeah it sure does sound bigger than 2W amp, but with that thing you have no chanse to go and take a jam session with drums. If you try to set the volume to the max it just sounds bad. Microcube is best if you are practising in a small apartment house. My first amp was microcube and it was good for practising basic stuff.

  • true, but when ever i jam with other electric instruments, the sound dies out, and if you force out the sound, it just loses volume (of sound) but of course it is a great amp to do a small jamming session, but if you are to play with other bigger amps, it will screw up

  • Get those huge 1000wat amps they use in hockey rinks and olympics. For that riff pleeeeze

  • i can't decide weither to get cube 20...or micro cube...is micro cube loud enough(for only one person to hear)?

  • I can tell you now, the microcube is VERY loud. Half volume is enough to make your ears ring after an hour or so. God knows what full is like!

  • thnx

  • i can second that! my friend uses his in school assemblys

  • Awesome amp, I had it as my first ever amp but had to sell it in the end. It was definately a good choice.

This video doesen't do it justice, it can sound a million times better than this, especially when the guitar is actually tuned correctly lol.

  • good work man ;-)

    Salah

  • Thanks for the video :)

  • electric guitar???

  • of course it does it's a 2 watt amp...at almost any volume its gonna start fuckin up but i love the effects on it

  • ma favourite floyd song. so sad...but beautiful

  • i use clean, no chorus flanger shit, and middle pickup (singlecoil) it sounds better

  • what song is that when you play at the beggining???Please do tell me..

  • Pink Floyd Wish You Were Here ....

  • Great amp but sorry mate. That sounds awful.

  • no? you are greatly misinformed. the amp is a 2 watt amplifier. the roland cube 15 is a 15 watt.

  • Nice sound, crap playing.

  • Yikes!! To much reverb.Sounds much better on accoustic.

  • 2 watts??? does it run on batteries??? lol jk (but seriosly can it)

  • Yessss, 6 x AA size Batteries, max. 20 hours playing time.

  • micro cube is awesome, you did not use any effect just the amp?

  • Only the amp

  • ¡¡I will buy one but with 5W! :D

  • you mean hollowbody or semihollowbody, or acoustic-electric?

  • NIIIIIICE!!!!!

  • yo i have this same amp only in white and people are like ew its smal but when you cank it its pretty load and it takes on a drum set

  • yikes that amp sounds horrible

  • Alexi, the sounds great! Idiot... That's the jc setting, it's supposed to sound like that. It's a freakin' modeling amp. You're idiots

  • that explains...ive never heard a modeling amp that sounds any good

  • Nice song, and nice amp!.

  • I used it a day, in a garage play with guitar, bass, keyboards, even with drums...people laughed first, but they were surprised after...

  • 2 fuckin watts i heard it has fukkin 20 and i own it my friend plays bass on the rumble 15 amp and my m cube drowns out rumble 15

  • Wow, that sounds horrible. You even suck at playing and butchered the song too.

  • Internet tough guy, lol

  • More like "Internet Tough Goon" lol

  • This amp fuckin rocks cant wait to get mine!!!

  • Hi!. Thanks for you opinion!.

The seeting for the amp is JC clean and EFX control in Flanger Mode (max. level). I hope it will be usefull for you.

And about the TAB's... I don't follw any, only look for the note of the melody within the chord... but you can try in Olga Guitar Tabs some idea.

    Enjoy!

  • you fuckin' rock man
