@armani1860 The M16 did have problems with the A1 and A2 versions but they made it BETTER! The AK-47 has had some upgrades to it I'm sure, but it technically is the same automatic rifle as when it was first made. Look at rifles that are made now, the AK-47 side IS the AK-47 with different upgrades. Now look at the M16 side, all you have to do is buy a different upper receiver for it and it is like a brand new, amazing rifle. With the AK, you have to buy a whole new weapon system.

Whatever little gunlover's world you're living in might do that. Unfortunately in the United States in order to own a "Machine Gun" including this one you must have a Class 3 FFL.
What you probably did is had the Class 3 FFL holder buy it, and pay the taxes for you and just hand it off to you.
