Saying Rubio is a bad defender is such an incredibly lazy criticism which people always use to discredit a player they haven't seen. Rubio is incredibly active on defense, he's 6'4, has long ass arms, has amazing anticipation and great awareness on when to rotate. If you have seen him play and still think he's a bad defender, you don't know basketball. The Kidd comparisons are spot on.

@Marshallownby It's not so much putting it in front of him, the wrap around dribble is used to fake an around the back pass so you would do it in which ever direction your team mate is in. Usually it works better if you do it towards him because then he backs off instead of getting closer.

Regardless, he is new and good, and that is why he gets so much attention. Anyone talkin shit on Rondo is dumb though, and I don't even like the Celts. The only real weaknesses in his game are his jumper and temper, but he is improving both.

@gerardogovea his moves may be simple, but they're effective. Rubio isn't euro trash, he's honestly one of the purest point guards in the league right now. Pass first point guard with high basketball IQ which the timberwolves desperately needed. If anything he's having a better rookie season than john wall solely as a play maker. The rookie season can't say everything though, wait for next season to see if he develops and becomes even better. Don't hate just cause he's euro.

He is a Pass First type of point guard who creates plays,builds the team, and would only shoot if wide open most of the time. He does need to work on his shooting though to score atleast 12ppg. Keep up with atleast 5 rebounds per game. And the 7-10 assists per game
