Have you tried using the computer program to program it? I used it with your settings for the song, but it just doesn't sound the same for some reason. Any thoughts?
@corey3110 haven't used my computer, no. the only thing i can think of is make sure it's set to harmony octave up/octave down; make sure it's not just on octave up, or octave down. past that i'm not really sure, sorry.
@hondansr91 the true bypass mod removes the whammy's buffer from your guitar signal when it is not engaged. the buffer of the whammy forces a rather unpleasant, digital and trebly quality on your signal.
i have this pedal and can never get the timing right with tap tempo or with the usb interface that's pretty much the big downside because you can't play a long to the song. any tips? seems that you might now how to get the timing right
@Pescado2020 yeah i have this problem too. i just use the tap tempo to correct the speed when i feel it's getting out of sync. crude, i now, but it's the closest you'll get without rerecording the song yourself to a strict metronome beat. lol.
As for his Fuzz, if this hasn't been answered yet, he has ZVex Fuzz Factory pedals built in his guitars. I had one but traded it for a Whammy WH-1 straight up.
@letsgetcarriedaway Hi! Awesome video, but I have a little prob. Everything went well until the programming of the octaves. It wouldn't change the tone. Is there anything I'm doing wrong, or something I didn't do? Thanks man!
@AskoyFK what do you mean it won't change the tone? are you able to scroll up/down semitone by semitone with the click wheel? where exactly does it go wrong?
@letsgetcarriedaway Sorry man, found out of it. I've just started using the Whammy, so i didn't put the output in the "wet-added". Great video, got it working now. Thanks!
@greendaycovers1000 the whammy isn't a part of matt bellamy's tone, it's just a pitchshifter. if you want bellamy's distorted tone, you can either use a high-gain fuzz or distortion - i used my amp distortion for this demo (kustom 72 coupe combo).
@xStinger1987x thanks mate! because my whammy was modded for true bypass, it involved installing a new switch for the true bypass. however, you still need to be able to have access to the original footswitch somehow, so you can recalibrate the whammy when needed. i had tim replace the original footswitch with that red button so it's out of the way, but still easy access when needed.
