@ricemazter Megatron got hold of six Autobot protoforms, still in their stasis pods, each with its own built-in scanner. Five of them were used to create the Commandos (Combaticon redecos). The sixth was used to scan a tanker truck, driven by the hapless human Kelly. When she almost rolled the tanker, Optimus Prime stepped in to avert the disaster, at the same moment the sixth protoform scanned it, thus scanning Optimus, the tanker and Kelly, which became important later. I actually like the transformations more then those of the Combaticons in G1. In G1 it didn't look as stylish.

the japanese specialize in making spiffy looking transformations and combination footage. lok at the sentai footage for power rangers, digimon, brave saga, amonst others
