@QuotaPBaby Tiger had a one shot lead going into the 18th and his playing partner was on the green in two shots, being a par 5 and how good those guys at putting his opponent has pretty much secured himself a birdie at worst. There was a lot riding on that shot which is why it's rated so highly man

@MrNaebdy it depends on lie and shot shape. With the 6 iron he probably had a very clean lie and wanted to hit a draw, and hard. Which is why he swung so hard. He needed that extra carry. He was also choking up on that 7 iron quite a bit.
@aieljose I could easily hit it within that close from the bunker with a 6 iron... providing the ball flies half way into another bunker and then the stars align for me when hitting out of the next.
I've played at Glen Abbey at least 2 dozen times since 2000. I have almost always dropped a second ball @ around the same spot in that bunker and tried that shot with a 6 iron. I've NEVER came even remotely close (let alone hit the green). You have to stand in that spot to appreciate just how incredible a shot that was by Tiger.
@jherikurl no what sucks, being grant weit the guy he was playing against and beat cause of that. i played in a tournament with grant's son last year. he said it was absolutely retarted how he hit that
