@IVANOFVOCHITO88 Yes, the mix has been edited due to time constraints. YouTube imposes a 15 minute limit on most uploads. This is why the title caption in the video states "Edited for YouTube".
ENG to ESP translation by Babel Fish:
Sí, la mezcla ha sido corregido debido a los apremios del tiempo. YouTube impone un límite de quince minutos ante la mayoría de las cargas por teletratamiento. Esta es la razón por la cual el subtítulo de título en el vídeo lee el " Corregido para YouTube".
This was the first dance music album I bought and she was all the rage when I first started clubbing years before I started djing. Mac Arthur park was the big big club cut then! Donna Summer is still great! The voice in person is even better..I v managed to see her twice over the years!
When you go and hear Donna Summer in concert, she sounds exactly the same if not better than this recording. I gained new respect for her talent when I heard her sing live.
Back in the days when this was recorded, you had 2 choices if you wanted to listen to recorded music, records or reel to reel, with the latter of the two being the best quality.
Im 46 yrs old 3 grown kids & a grandmother to a 4yr old. Every time I see your name on "you-tube" I know you will have some good music to take me back to a fantastic memory in my "ole school" life...lol Thanks for posting love your stuff, looking forward to some more. Love from the Boogie Down Bronx!!!
@bonita82 i think if im not mistaken a guy named paul jabbara but not sure or how to spell his name lol.........AWSOME AND SEXY AINT HIS VOICE MMMMMMMMMmmmmmmmmmm lol lol xx
who would of known that from a god awful song a Disco Dance Classic for the ages would of emerged. I was born in 1979 so I couldn't really enjoy this music until I was old enough to appreciate it. This song is a classic work of art. I love the regular 45" version of this song but then I bought the Live and More LP and discovered the FULL 15 some minutes version of it there and feel in love with it all over again! LONG LIVE THE QUEEN :)
well I have to agree with you, about closing my eyes, when I hear this song. Of all the music of the late 70's for some reason, this song makes me stop--think, remember a time, when my life was much simpler. As most of my music-loving-friends of the late 70's have died from Aids----in just under 15 minutes, I can be with them again, enjoying this song & AND REMEMBERING THEM
The instrumenal composition is amazing, and it brings back great memories, but what in the world is she talking about? I will never know. Sounds so sad. Someone left the cake out in the rain after she worked so hard on it. And she will never have that recipe again. I have always had mixed feelings about this song, but today... it gets the final gavel: Negative Song. But that score!!!!!!
This might sound nerdy but I find it quite comforting playing a vinyl record than I do a CD. There is a 'natural' sounding warmth that you don't get from CDs. The record player is a machine with wires and such but you place the needle to the record and it fills the room with warmth. Can I get a witness?
@adelgado75 This is not a secret to audiophiles! Nor is the fact that amplifiers/receivers with vacuum tubes sound "warmer" than solid state devices. Lesson learned: New technology doesn't necessarily mean "better" technology.
I can recall walking to school in the early mornings of 1978 singing this classic tune as a kid. I can close my eyes & i'm back to being a kid, miss those days growing up in n.y.. This jam brings tears too my eyes, so romantic yet very uplifting. Wish life was as simple as it was back in the day. Todays artist cant stand on the same stage as a legend like D.S.. Thanks for the post & helping me go down that path of memory lane :):) KEEP EM COMIN Slayd5K!

720p great sound and quality and a long version rocks. 1978 had some of the best music and you could buy a Camaro Z/28 for $8,000 or less brand new.
