  • I would rather spend a little more and get a USA made Kershaw or something similar.

  • Why do you support chinese knock-offs of American designed knives JWC45?

I thought you had more class than that.

  • @JB3Knife oh give me a break.I've owned over 10 CRKs and about 2 Sanrenmus.

    TROLL.

  • @JohnWayneColt45 I'm not a TROLL ... that's really how I feel. China rips off American makers for their designs ... period.

I think it affects us as a nation ... and will continue to affect us more in the future unless we (Americans) boycott chinese knock-offs.

I like your videos ... you have class ... this one subject we definitely differ on though.

  • @JB3Knife at least sanrenmu is using their own name and not trying to pass it off as a CRK. and u do realize that a lot of the big name brand companies use sanrenmu to make their overseas production knives right?

  • @JB3Knife and there are plenty of differences between the 2. its not like they made it and tried to slap a CRK logo on it. and the ppl who have a knowledge about knives are still gona support CRK. its not like everyones gona stop buying higher end knives bc sanrenmu makes a 10$ knife that looks similar. maybe someone who doesnt have the money for a CRK will buy a sanrenmu. but its not like the money they spent was gona go towards a CRK and they changed thier mind for a 10$ knife.

  • @JB3Knife the problem i have is when a overseas company makes a random knife and actually uses a benchmade or spyderco logo, or another company, and actually tries to sell it as that companies knife.

  • the srm 910 looks alot like the sebenza any thoughts

  • the only thing i wish they'd change is the bushings. those plastic things don't last long. :D

  • Ah yes i have bought from them before actually. I sometimes get their contact seller website thats not too friendly. Thank you much!

  • They are sold out everywhere. I cant find a silver one. Any ideas?

  • @jgbelmont Site called Ali-Express is where I go.

    They are in stock there.

  • why in the fuck would you pay 40 times as much for a knife that is essentially the same? just get the 710 and put the 350 bucks in your retirement fund

  • @aseglkj its not essentially the same. the materials and overall craftsmanship is totally different. and for ppl who are knife enthusiast thats important.

  • For a fullsize Sebenza lookalike, check out the Enlan EL-02! Even got a Axis style lock..

  • only complaint about this SRN is that the frame lock was sharp, but I took some fine sandpaper and sanded it down, now it is super comfortable.

  • is the sebenza tip up or tip down carry?

  • @quaiboi at 3:38 the cutout where the pocket clip should be indicates tip up carry. Or you can google chris reeve sebenza.

  • @smellslikepurple233 oh, yea, i noticed that, wasnt paying close attention though. thks

  • Sanrenmu is a great brand, they also make knifes for spyderco buck an a lot more high profile knife brands (they make those official chinese models).

  • I love everything about this knife except for the shitty pocket clip. The very first time I wore it on my pocket, the clip bent outward just from being on your average cargo shorts front pocket, to the point that it had no grip anymore. So I don't carry it anymore. If I were going to carry it again, I'd just take off the horrible clip and drop it in my pocket.

  • Thanks for addressing the strength of the détente. In Australia now customs are performing an extremely subjective test, where they try their hardest to snap the knife open without touching the thumbstuds, so they can declare a knife a “Gravity Blade”. I suppose that the customs office with the strongest wrists (Biggest Wanker) could argue that any folding blade was illegal. Now there is only the question of the durability of the frame lock over time. Mine is on its way at $9.99AU inc ship.

  • @1lupus You need to find a new country. Australia is just a nanny state now.

  • Just got my Sanrenmu 710 . I am really impressed! Thanks for the video. Huge amount of value in this knife. Just can't stop thinking about the hoards of people working for 10 cents a day to make these for us. I'll get over it.

  • Yep, really nice, way better than the price would make you think!

    I've got three of 'em, a 710, a 736 and a 939.

What model number was the last one? I tried to Google "Sanrenmu 965", but didn't find anything. The 962 kinda sorta looks like it, but not quite.

  • @BernhardOelreich my bad, yeah its the 962.I've got a vid up on it.

  • @JohnWayneColt45 Oh, OK. Cos the one that I saw had a slightly different handle, so I thought that they had two similar models. They do have a crap load of knifes that sometimes looks almost exactly the same.

  • My opinion the 710 is better for the average guy( I own both) just for the simple fact I don't mind using it or losing it....I bought a Sebenza because I'm a collector. Way better materials on the Sebenza obviously but look at the price difference. And the quality on the 710 is the best quality I've ever seen on anything out of asia.

  • I didnt see the link in the description?

  • @brettballen If its a link for the Sanrenmu knives, click on that small box with the two arrows in it and the rest of the description will appear, the link is there.

  • i actually did what you said. i bought the 710 to have a good idea of what the small sebenza will be. by next month i'm hoping to be the proud owner of my first chris reeve knife which will be the small sebenza. great vid as always.

  • @INFIDELxSTRONG Awesome, you will love the Sebenza bro.Best semi-production knife out there.

    Thanks for the comment bro.

  • I'm gonna order a buch of these!

  • Dude check out the Bee and Enlan L01-1 it's awesome

  • Where can i get it, i went to that website in the description and i cant find it?

  • @trumpetman50 try it now bro.

  • @trumpetman50 thanks i dont know why it didnt work before though.

  • i heard that 710 had some problems with the edge hitting the back spacer when they closed, resulting in a chip in the blade does that happen??

  • @kenneth12398 interesting.I've never heard that. But I can say the 710 is open construction and doesn't have a backspacer. It has 2 pillars, but the blade doesn't even come close to touching them.

  • Mines on it's way!

  • @CutleryNovice AWESOME!!

  • I'm finally going to order the 710,also I can't believe this was posted 6 months ago!

  • did u ever put any hard use on that knife cause i have had rly cheap knifes and after a week or 2 they start to get blade play and after 3 months it starts to get rly bad if u use it hard

  • ordered one yesterday, now the wait for it to come in!

  • @wolfie83 got mine in, its freaking awesome! definitely my new EDC piece.

  • I have no problem with teflon washers as long as they work.

  • @75SilentWarrior I agree, I recently had an XM18 for a couple weeks and it uses Teflon washers and the action was super smooth. My CRKT S-2 uses them as well.

  • does anyone know where i can get one? i saw the 710 and the 901 and i thought they where awesome, but i have no idea where i can get them that'll ship to the US (mostly chinese sellers)

  • @xxkid123 Ebay, i just ordered 3 :)

  • @xxkid123 click on the link in the description.

  • @xxkid123 search it from ebay, some guy named electronic shop 2008. they ship from singapore! (my country) eventhought stated is HK or china

  • I hate it when CR knocks off those chinese original designs. Somebody stop him!

  • @Rasenkrieger lol!!

  • Hey dude. The SRM's came in. Shipping took 23 days. The site I ordered from is exduct (dot) com. I chose them because they were a little cheaper and they accept paypal. The knives are very cool. Had some issues with the 710's frame lock, but I was able to take the knife apart and fix it. Locks up super tight now. I'm very impressed with both knives. Anyway, thanks for turning me on to them. Have a good one.

  • @sarcomatose Great!!

Thanks for the update,,glad your happy with 'em,for the prices you really can't complain. They are really well made for being so cheap.

    Enjoy 'em bro!!

  • Also looking at the forums doing my research crkt did a collaberation with Chris and made a model actually called sebenza however Chris wasn't happy with them and had most of them destroyed but there are few left that come up every now and then kind of an interesting story they were poorly made though from the pics I've seen the frame lock was made with the plastic handle...

  • @emokidbc yeah, I just googled "CRKT Sebenza"WOW!! Never knew that Chris would ever authorize a production sebenza, thats cool.Sounds like the knife was really crappy though, its a shame they used Zytel for the scales.

They should of used Titaniumlike on the S-2.

  • @JohnWayneColt45 the S-2 stands for Sebenza 2 it was in the same line at the Apache 2 and Seahawk 2,just like the Sebenza was in the same line as the Apache 1 and Seahawk 1

  • @CutleryNovice never thought that, makes since though. After the trouble with the first one and chris pulling out they coulden't call it the sebenza 2.

  • My 710 looks like it has A bronze washer on the clip side , and a nylon washer with a thinner bronze washer on the blade side. So one Nylon washer , faced with a thin bronze washer , the blade , and a regular bronze washer.

For those in the know , Sanrenmu make excellent little knives.

  • @flashdamingo I believe your right, whatever it is its smooth as silk.

Yes!! Sanrenmu make Excellent, high quality knives for sure.Really well built and super solid!!

  • I just bought this. Thanks for the video. Didn't know they even existed before your video. I have always wanted a CRK but this will have to do for now.

  • @velo0826 Congrats ,They are great knives!!

  • The Sanrenmus are real good knives....they are sturdy, nice finish & good quality controll....the sanrenmu 710 in black are awesome...and that all for just a few Euros/Dollars....incredible value.....nice vid..........have a great day !!!! Bye

  • I personally feel that no knife compares with the sebbie unless it has a pivot bushing. Thats the sebbies claim to fame. The pivot bushing is what makes it strong. Find a knife with a pivot bushing and then I think there will be a comparison.

  • lol links to large to just push you gotta copy and paste for anyone wondering lol

  • If you want a cheaper Sebenza get the Bradley Alias.

I hate company's that just steal good designs and copy them for cheap knives.

  • @Bierkameel The Alias itself is a couple hundred dollars, so its not really a "cheaper" sebenza.

  • Congratulations on 500 subs! Thanks for the comparison. Keep up the great work.

  • @edgedweapon88 Thanks Bro!!

  • Interesting, I didn't know of these knock off sebbies. I guess you're right it could be a good and cheap starting point before commiting to a Sebbenza.

    Love my Sebenza though! :D

  • @MonsieurFromLondon Nothing beats the real deal, but these are great knives for the price.

  • Awesome, I think I might have to pick one of those up just for fun. I can't believe how good the knife looks for about ~11 bucks. Jeeze, that's insane.

    Great review/comparison! :D

  • Great knifes, wish i had the sebenza :(, seems like a great great knife. Stay Sharp

  • @TheLazySpoiledKitty They ARE great knives, I wish you had one to bro.

  • i don't know why people like Sebenza's so much. id much rather get a strider!

  • @DaBossk I have to agree with you on that one,Sebenzas are truly excellent knives, but I like my Striders alot more,

  • dude you cannot believe how bad i want a sebenza after these vids haha your a jerk but thanks for the great vids man appreciate it

  • @emokidbc Sorry for the tease...lol

    Thanks for the support.

  • I just learned about Sanrenmu knives a couple days ago. I can't believe these knives are so cheap and seem to be totally decent knives. I had a question about the sebenza though. I was checking one out at my local knife shop and I couldn't flick it open. Are Sebenzas not meant to be flicked open?

  • @sarcomatose They are excellent knives, can't believe they are so cheap.

as far as Sebenzas go,,no they aren't meant to be flicked open, they can be it just takes time and practice. They aren't the easiest knives to flick.Plus flicking it open somehow voids the warrenty, I don't know how Chris can tell its been flicked, but he says not to do that with his knives.

  • @JohnWayneColt45 Yeah, I kinda figured that they weren't meant to be flicked, but that's pretty crazy about the warranty. I think I'm gonna have to order a couple of these Sanrenmu's. For the price, I think I'll order a couple extras and maybe give them out to my friends. Anyway, thanks for the super-fast reply and thanks for posting the vids!

  • @sarcomatose They have some really cool models and they are al relly cheap,under$11.

  • @JohnWayneColt45 I couldn't resist. I just went and ordered the 710 as well as that knife with the "axis-type" lock.

  • @sarcomatose You will love 'em, they are really well built knives!!

Don't be worried if they take 2-3 weeks to reach ya, mine did but they are coming from China and can take awhile.

  • @JohnWayneColt45 I found a different site. Looks like they have slightly lower prices and the shipping is supposedly 7-10 days. If they ship within that time period I'll let you know just in case you wanted to order some more SRM knives in the future.

  • @sarcomatose Please do.

  • @sarcomatose I remember hearing you werent supposed to flick em.

  • man those do look similar, i have to say, still like the seb more :D nice vid, thanks.

  • @gundude73 They sure do,,I'm pretty sure they copied it,they look way to similer. But I agree of course, Sebbie all the way!!

  • Im all about good knives for cheap prices. I dont have very many knives but i want to get a few decent knives but im always on a tight budget or trying to buy another gun lol, I just might have to order one of these. GREAT REVIEW, THUMBS UP!!!!

  • @Unknowngun101 I hear ya bro,,But with quality knives priced this cheap, its an easy way to get quite a few great knives.

  • @Unknowngun101 If you haven't done so already, you should pick up a Spyderco Tenacious! Love that knife!

  • congrats on the subs mane

  • @jtmoney606 Thanks!!

  • they look similar, nice video man!

  • @paperas24 Thanks buddy.

  • man i love your vids keep up the good work 5/5

  • Nice, I should pick one up.

  • @knifethrow1 For sure, they are really well built and very inexpensive.

  • CONGRATULATIONS the 500 subs BRO. U have a great Chanel keep up the good vids

  • @rctrav Thanks alot buddy!!

  • also could you put the the link on where to buy the 710 in the description?

  • top quality as always, excellent video

  • @Knifemaster464 Thanks.

  • ★★★★★

  • @MadBadVoodo Thanks bro.

  • bro that would be sick haha just dont mess with us like atf did lol thats sucked ass!!

  • @xXshaneofruinsXx I won't..it'l be the real deal.

  • bro stoked for the give away and when i hit 100 subs ima have a give away

  • @xXshaneofruinsXx I think I'm gonna do another multi blade contest, but instead of just commenting,I'm gonna have you guys work for it :)

like a vid response or a scavenger hunt or something like that.

  • So besides inferior blade steel, more weight, lesser handle materials, likely inferior customer service, and a lack of the "cool" factor or a Sebenza, what is the disadvantage of the sanremu?

  • @EDCgearreviews Sanrenmus are great knives.Really well built and rock solid,Plus they come razor sharp. They really don't have any disadvantages by themselves.

  • The Sanremu's the better deal, in my opinion.

  • @ATF6281914 your right,,I mean its just as solid and the same exact design.Sebenzas are excellent knives, but really not worth #3-400, they aren't even hand made anymore.

  • @JohnWayneColt45 I dont think they are worth ~$400...i just bought a Lg Classic for $225 shipped...i think thats worth it for sure...

    Interesting video man

  • @knivesNstuff45 I agree, definately not worth $400 at all.Really great knives, but way overpriced.$225 is very fair and should be the norm.Chris reeve is kinda an ego hound.

  • @JohnWayneColt45 Well i mean its pretty much what people are willing to pay, and plenty of people are willing to pay...if the prices were like 150, it wouldnt be a sebenza...the price sets them apart so to speak...you gotta hand it to him though, the sebbie has been around over 20 years and is still very very popular...not too many folders can say that...I dont know the man so i cant say, but he does have lots of confidence in his designs...as most knifemakers do...

  • @knivesNstuff45 All true.

  • i need to pick up a sanrenmu

  • @aknifecollector They are really well built knives, and for the money a steal!!
