i've just rewatched S1, 2 and 3. at first viewings wasn't keen on prop joe, but totally changed my mind, one of the wires best characters, in the top 10 and thats saying something
When you actually look at how much money they made, the Barksfield organization was actually bigger than the Stanfield people. At one point the Barksfields were pulling 1 million dollars a MONTH...after expenses. Marlo sold the connect for 10 mil.....
We don't really know how much Marlo's crew was making for him at its peak, though. $10 million for the connect was probably a bargain price, considering that Marlo had to sell, and that it had to be priced so that the lesser kingpins could scrounge together enough cash to afford it -- after months of Marlo cutting into their margins by demanding the best territory, raising the price on the package, etc.
Such an incredible scene!!! I think Omar and Prop Joe are the most well written characters in the entire series. They both always have the most memorable dialouge. This scene is just a masterpiece.

Maybe so...I mean Prop Joe was always scheming. Trying to figure how best to use someone. However that dude Cheese?...His character?...He's bound to turn on anyone. That dude has no honor or loyalty in him...not an ounce. See when you have a crew in any aspect of life who have to analyze the character of who's around you. You have to be careful who you invite into your circle. Joe sort of alluded to that in season 2 with Nick Sabota regarding Ziggy's debt.

Omar is smart as hell. He makes sure that Joe carries out the plan by scaring him with Marlo and by giving him the clock so that he can still keep his front. Omar returns for the clock after he steals the drugs and fixes the clock. Made him keep his word in both ways. Brilliant.
