Animal Cops - Houston: Cat Evaluation

Im watching this documentary and Im angry on both, the irresponsible people and cops. They confiscated 2 dogs which needed to see vet only to get them destroy, claiming their injuries were too extensive. I worked at vet station myself, I know that in 1st case it was possible to rescue the dog, but they killed him because the medication was too expensive. In 2nd case, the dog couldnt be saved, but they claimed that his owners made a mistake, they could prevent the disease by vaccination (cont.)

@Raymoiful But the dog had every needed vaccination, his owners probably were not informed that this disease even exist to buy for the dog additional vaccination and were not allowed to see him before they killed him. So in one case they killed the dog because the medication was too expensive, then they claimed that the 2nd family made a mistake by not providing an expensive vaccination to PREVENT a disease and brought them to court for that. How hypocritical. Something is wrong with those cops.

I'm glad there are plenty of people who care but there are things that this show DOES NOT show you. My friends have had issues with the HoustonSPCA in the past.I recall one incident, theycalled them and askedfor help with acouple kittens theyjust found.They told themthey wouldn't take the kittens (no explanation given).So they tried to care forthem on their own. Couple days later, they got cited with animal cruelty and demanded they hand over the animals. My friends gotangry since they did try.

@darkchibicosmos the animals weren't even in rough shape, just needed more food. My friends gave up some of their food to help the kittens eat more. The SPCA denied ever saying anything like that to them and my friend "released them voluntarily" and so never had to go to court for it. I was like "BS man" they didn't try to hoard the animals. I never understood what happened on this day even now. Maybe there was miscommunication somewhere but I do remember hearing the phone denying the request.

I love watching this show! I love animals and hopes to be a Vet someday.
