Mudcatblue's description is dead on. Saw Gamalon in Syracuse circa 1989 in rinky-dink bar. The lights go down and suddenly 5 guys sitting next to me at the bar walk up on stage. Small crowd but super loyal. One of the greatest live bands, period!
great job sending this out to the world, Druman/turbok. always crankin Gam to let loose &/or gettin ready for rippin da steeps...this stuff should be in a ski movie...turbo, 96/97-8 didn't even know about them gr8!
oh my god the harmonizing with the solo!!!feel so lucky to have seen this lineup as a young buffaloonian...these guys put 110 percent into what they did. but george...hes not even trying!!! jesus put kirk hammett to shame!!!lol!!!
yeah they did, dont know where you can get them though, they had one album on rca,a few on an independent label that belonged to the drummer and a few on Amherst records, you can find there first release (1987) pretty often on ebay.
Thanks for posting this old stuff Bene.. Back when I filmed it I didn't even know what the internet was, and now who knows how many people will get to see some classic Gamalon, the best band no one's ever heard of :)

What an amazing guitar vs. violin duel. The energy is incredible.

I can't believe the camera didn't realize that the violin was playing during the duel at first.

Thanks for posting this!!! I was luck enough to be going to school in Buffalo back then. Best part of my college years actually.

Coolest thing about Gamalon...They would come out on stage, shoe's untied,Ted spraying his Dristan,Bruce being so low key...a bunch of average guy's...
Then they would peel the paint off the wall's...& your hair would be standing on end.
Great recording's but equally brilliant LIVE!!

I still place that first Gamalon record up there with VHI & Birds of Fire by Mahavishnu.
This is just freakish, it's so good!
