I maintain a certain fondness for this movie. It was one of those that just had a little taste of everything-some action, some comedy, some romance, some suspense. And in the constantly re-hashing world of Hollywood, it had a pretty unique plot.
@lloydphotos hey me too!! It was 'Cupid' that got me hooked and I bought a greatest hits album when I was about 15. The rest is history and ten years since buying that CD...he's my favourite ever singer :) I love Mr Soul! <3
This was a film I saw with a buddy when I was in the 7th grade. I loved this movie and so did he. We both grew up to become writers. Always loved the innocent fun of Jack dancing drunk for the first time in his whole life.
I haven't seen this since 87... I was 10 years old... I'd get so emotional, especially at the end, when they play this song as the classic Mustang is driving away... Meg Ryan is SO cute.
@FULLmeltHASH not to be overly serious, but thats because in filming the usually substitute whiskey for soda pop or iced tea. An old movie/theater trick is to replace that with real booze for at least one take just so see how they react when they take a swig.
This is a great scene from one of my all time favorite movies. Who would have thought then, that 20 years later we would have pocket sized GPS units that give us TALKING turn by turn directions?! +pl
Best movie ever

"When things are at their darkest, pal, it's a brave man that can kick back and party." Words to live by if I've ever heard them.

I don't think I've seen this movie since I saw it in the theater. Remember when Hollywood tried to make a star out of Martin Short?

To this day, whenever I listen to this song, I have to say "Let the good times roll" just before hitting play. :)

Classic! I remember when this came out. I was 7 yrs old and I couldn't wait to start drinking just so I could make the sounds Jack and Tuck made.
Mr.Igoe and The Cowboy were great sub characters too
