It's so funny how doves go into a kind of trance when they're in their nest. I have two white females, and everytime they lay eggs they sit n the nest all day, whether I take the egg out or not.
Some mourning doves made a nest and laid eggs in a pine tree next to our house about 7 weeks ago. The young finally lest the nest few days ago on Sunday.
Simply beautiful!! It is great that you all let her stay in your flower pot :)
We had one to actually build their nest on our kitchen window sill. Every morning she was peeping into our kitchen. Such a beautiful face to wake up to in the morning :)

haha people :) that's actually the male dove. both male & female share nest duties. the male has the blue patch on his head & the rosy breast.
