  • leo barry's mark in the 2005 afl grand final?

  • the whole 2006 world cup campaign was, in my opinion, the greatest moment of all time

  • i think every aussie remembers those special sporting moments. the best ones are the ones where they were down and out and dug deep and won. sally winning silver was great just for her reaction

  • kieren perkins swim will be remembered forever

  • how the fuck did matthew mitcham do that.

  • I love you for putting in Sir Jack Brabham!

  • really appreciate the better quality

  • Greatest god damn country there will ever be in the world. So proud to be an Aussie :)

  • definetly stosur, james magnussen and hockeyroos

  • need makybe diva

  • cadel evans and Phar lap 1930

  • gotta put cadel evans in 3 :D

  • the first clip well the music i dont agree with

  • Suggestion for a 3rd version: Jason Richards podium, second race (I think) of the Albert Park 400 - V8 Supercars support race of Australian Grand Prix 2011.

  • Jason McCartney comback.

  • You should do the Kookaburras. In 2010 they won everything you can win in hockey. The champions trophy, The world cup, the commonwealth games and lots more. they only lost one game the whole game. so common Australia are the best in the world at hockey so give them some recognition!

  • Very glad you included Sir Jack Brabham!

  • Thanks for the memories! Sally Pearson at the recent World Champs was amazing........and Shane Gould.....what about Peter Norman at the 68 Olympics....Betty Cuthbert......Dawn Fraser......the men's 4 x 400 relay in Athens was pretty amazing...........Greg Welch winning the Hawaiian Ironman.......Alyssa Camplin winning gold at the Olympics......there are so many...........gotta love Kieren Perkins and Ian Thorpe.....that man is amazing!

  • a few sugestions - peter siddle hatrick on his birthday in the ashes (with the magic commentary from tubs of course), kewells equaliser against croatia, evans tour win, wallabies 2001 bledisloe/trinations win (kefus try)...and while you're at it with the rugby there is now big radike's try/he win against the all blacks this year. but lets be honest, you will end up having to make about 40 videos to cover all the best moments :) australia is simply the greatest sporting nation on the planet!

  • Trouble with this sort of thing is the vast majority of the clips are too recent. I'm a Pom, and I reckon your greatest sportsman was Don Bradman, and your greatest sportswomen were Dawn Fraser and Heather McKay. None of them are in either of your YouTube clips.

By the way, as I don't like Mike Gatting, I never tire of seeing THAT ball from Warne in 1993!

  • the olympic are better on seven network and the commonwealthgames are better on ten or in my case one HD

nine network can broadcast the fifa world cup

  • Cadel Evans Tour De France 2011

  • greatest country in the world, nothing can compare

  • May I suggest for Part 3, Cadel winning the Tour (obviously), and Mark Webber winning at Monaco!

  • Cadel will have squeaked his way in to all three videos after the Tour de France.

  • Perkins swim at Atlanta is the best in history in my opinon

  • Gotta put cadel evans in after his tour de france win

  • Rugby World Cup 1999 Larkhams Drop Goal

  • @specdecible No..thats not the reason. The reason was that Australia had beaten SA earlier in the Super Sixes stage thanks to a superb Steven Waugh hundred. So it was known to all even before the game that in case of a tie, Australia would go through.

  • Newk's win over Connors at the Aus Open in '75. It was a ripper. I watched it with my folks on our black and white tv. God I hated Connors. Great to see Newk finally whip his smart little arse back to the States. Betty Cuthbert's win in the 400 yards in Tokyo in '64 (3 gold in 3 games) and Evonne Goolagong's win at Wimbledon in 1980. I really love it when our Aussie girls and boys win. Even when they lose they've done their best. Gotta love it!

  • Jack Brabham winning in the F1 world championship in a car he built himself here in Aus with an Aussie engine!

  • Chuck in the grandfinal Draw Saint vs Collingwood

  • @specdecible incorrect. Aus had beaten SA earlier in the 99 WC, and progressed to the final on this basis, not net run rate.

  • HAHAHA Webber going mental is as Aussie as it gets!

  • there needs to be surfing, nrl and afl in the next vid

  • AFL

    COLLINGWOOD!

  • You have to put 17 year old JonSiebans win over MIchael gross in the 1984 olympic 200m butterfly final in.......it was a great win...

  • @Jimy923 Nah, that wasn't good to watch if you don't go for Geelong, it was dreadful.

  • the kookaburras hockey world cup should get a mention in the next video

  • Amazing Adelaide needs a mention, especially that ball Warnie got Pietersen with! And Warnies 700th wicket at the G. Mark Webber winning Monaco and Silverstone. And the wallabies bringing home bill in 2011

  • you fucking beauty!!!!

  • lauren burns u gun

  • The '96 footage of Perkins looks like its 30 years old lol

  • @Baz0kaLord9087 Begg-Smith? He's not even Australian and he's a complete tool. Asian Cup final we lost?

No offense but those are horrible suggestions...

  • @ElSpewtardo i guess.

  • Hewitt vs Federer Davis Cup Semi 2003 has to be in the next one.

  • Some suggestions:

    * Bevan's boundary off the last ball against West Indies

    * Occy winning the World Surfing Title

    * Rob de Castella winning the Commonwealth Games Marathon (1982 I think).

  • shivers down my spine anyone else got it?

  • put videos with Lleyton Hewitt and Jelena Dokic

  • Hey mate, love ur videos

    I have a suggestion for a song for #3

    Great Southern Land by Icehouse

  • What about the Opals world chapionship win?

  • AUSTRALIAN CRICKET RIP

  • Wayne Gargner fist Philip island win, Pat Rafter US Open, Pat Cash Wimbledon and Davis Cup. Greg Norman British Open, Peter Norman 200m Mexico, Womens water polo sydney olympics last second win for Gold!

  • You have to include Gillys second fastest test century.

  • kerryn maccan's gold medal at commonwealth games possibly?

  • australian winning the sydney bid

  • Would love to see a Hawiian Ironman clip, Aussies have owned that race.

Even bigger sporting moment for me was Jason McCartney comeback match after recovering from the Bali bombing.

  • I remember hearing the whole neighbourhood go up when that 2nd of Cahill's went in; glad to be alive when it happened

  • Fuckin Beauty Brother

  • Hopefully Webber will be in the next edition as a World Champion.

  • Australia isn't reAlly that good just with kangaroos

  • For your next vid maybe us demolishing the poms back in 2007 in the ashes, or even the womens hockey final from the comm games

Btw i love the music Temper Trap rock

  • This truly is the best aussie moments on the world stage. No question!!!

  • No. 3 in the pipeline spedicible?

  • @jibbjann I will start the 3rd version by the end of the year. May aswell start getting your suggestions in, there's still a lot more great aussie moments

  • @specdecible I'd agree with others who've mentioned Anna Meares and Alan Jones. Add to that Geoff Huegill's comeback (2 golds and a silver in the Comm. Games) and Hewitt '01 US Open.

  • @MoNercy Rafter winning '97 US Open was a much bigger moment in Aussie sport because it was against Phillipousis.

  • @specdecible not international but Mark Coyne's last minute origin try in '94.

  • @specdecible make sure to add the Socceroos latest efforts in the Asian Cup ;)

  • @specdecible Stosur and Evans!

  • @specdecible I'm not an AFL partisan but you need to find the video of the guy from the Kangaroos who got burnt in the Bali Bombings and managed to repair his body enough to come back and play for his club. Also AUS v RSA in the Rugby World Cup.

  • Also, Alan Jones.

  • No Anna Meares? Team Pursuit?

  • FUCKIN BEAUTY!!

  • Where did you get the 2008 Beijing footage from?

  • this cant be a australian sporting montage without a football clip in any of it, i dont know what country you meant by "Australia" must of been austria, didnt know they play cricket

  • @jhardyrules13 What do you mean "without a football clip in any of it" ???? The Socceroos awesome performance at the 2006 World Cup featured prominently. How much more do you want?

  • @jereg2 socceroos arnt australian, there the trash of europue sent back to australia cause there not good enough, and when were australian socer isnt football

  • greatest moments 3!

  • @specdecible You're wrong, mate! Australia progressed because they beat South Africa earlier in the World Cup. Which made Steve Waugh's "you just dropped the World Cup, son" remark at Herschelle Gibbs all the more brilliant! Haha! Net Run Rate had nothing to with it!!

  • @specdecible thanks mate. I have to say, as an avid cricket watcher for 10+ years, i am ashamed of myself for not knowing this particular rule!

  • perhaps someone can enlighten me. In the cricket game between the Aussies and SA in this vid, if the scores were level and SA was bowled out, why did the Aussies automatically go through to the final? Why wasn't some sort of tie-breaker/extra time played?

  • @greekie88 i thought it was because australia beat SA in the previous group stage

  • @greekie88 and also because we beat sth africa in the group stage

  • Mate, you really know how to make a good video. Made my spine tingle.

  • @Cricket490 Maybe we should wait so he can make it after this years ashes series when Australia beat them 5-0

  • @pipinx20 hahaha didnt u just draw with pakistan?

    aussies are shit at sport

  • @flipsidedogchop we're ranked higher than the poms in just about every sport. So i wouldn't be saying much if i was you

  • @pipinx20 whos got the ashes? who won the rugby WC 2003 & runners up 2007? whos won the last 2 F1 world titles? who won the T20 world cup? whos won the FIFA WC? etc....

england is a rainy old place and you should ALWAYS beat us considering your sport friendly climate.....but you dont!

  • @flipsidedogchop whose better at crcket? Who has rugby union as their 4th sport? whose leading the f1's now? T20 is just marketing and for the fifa WC: who cares. Its soccer. Gayest sport out.

  • @pipinx20 aahh! the typical convict ignorance......

and FOOTBALL (soccer in gay countries) is non-contact.....unlike the GAY.F.L where men wear short shorts and pull eachothers shirts and hair!

  • @flipsidedogchop non contact cos there to soft. And dude, whats up with all of the diving. They get touched and they act like they have been shot.

  • @flipsidedogchop

You typical English.Sheep.Shaggers ust got destroyed 4.1 by Germany at you National sport.

I can't take anything seriously you english inbreds say. You are a conwquered country say the French Normans conquered and own you.

  • @Edeltraut3 and where are you from, Germany? Id rather lose 4-2!!! at the world cup than be raped by england in 2 wars within the last century!! german sausage weiner fagot!

  • @flipsidedogchop

The only thing the English did in WW2 was run away like cowards in Dunkrk when the scots/welsh had to hold the beaches for you cowards to jump in to the sea.

The Russians the Americans won the war. The english did fuck all.

  • @Edeltraut3 ahhahahahaha! we stood up the the huge nazi army by ourselves for 2 years!!! so we were the only country to go the full 12 rounds with the nazi's

go stick your german sausage up a sheeps ass you nazi faggot!

  • The John Eales goal was frickin awesome.

  • next you have to add the world pool champion that won this go

    proud to be Auzzie :)

  • i really enjoy looking this even if im swedish :D

  • Despite the fact Jack Brabham's car failed during the United States GP in the final lap, he pushed his car to the finish line - That's dedication!

  • part 3....

  • Good old webber "Yeah, yeah, you fking beauty!"

  • @specdecible every English cricket victory over the last 10 years has been won with a South African side....

  • @Spoungeworthy oh ok were's ACDC from then?

google it fuckhead i dare you.......there all scottish and english!

    hahahaha

  • MORE.

    Please?

  • Sir Jack Brabham in 1959 at 0:29

"first australian to win the F1 World Championship".......driving a Cooper (English)

  • @flipsidedogchop

Yes it was, but he won 2 more championships in a car he designed and built himself (Australian)

  • @specdecible i know..... and then Mr Alan Jones won in 1980 in a Williams-Cosworth (English)

Like Red Bull Chief Designer Adrian Newey (English)

  • @flipsidedogchop

Lol I know what you are trying to get at, but F1 is a European based sport, to find a team without any English, German, Italian and/or French connections is practically impossible

  • @specdecible Well, only one. In 1960, he won again with Cooper. In 1984, he set up the Brabham racing team and he won his third and last title in 1966. He is the only man to win an F1 title with a car built by the driver.

  • @flipsidedogchop shut up dickhead, that's like saying one of the cogs in the engine was made in china hence a part of the victory belongs to the chinese... an english person wasn't driving, hence the victory goes to the person that was in the car, take the chicken out of your ass.

  • @EweTubee gearboxes usually have cogs!

most of the cars are built in england anyway, usually the best ones

  • Comment removed

  • @flipsidedogchop @flipsidedogchop what good cars are built in england... i'll take my Holden or Ford over any garbage a pom produces.

  • @EweTubee hahaha u dumbcunt!

holdens are owned by GM and ford is american....

and i was referring to F1 cars build it england..... not some production holden piece of low tech shit

  • @flipsidedogchop no you stupid idiot, the australian fords and australian holdens are all made and designed in AUSTRALIA, you sir are the dumbcunt. Holdens and Fords take a shit on all of your overpriced lumps of garbage, even the fellas on your show Top Gear seem to think so also, hahahaha.

  • Another Great video mate, could i suggest if you make another one Lydia Lassila's Gold Medal at Vancouver

  • @WigginsAustralia was lydia lassilas really one of australias greatest sporting moments, she was one of the favourties, there wasnt a drought between the last gold in that sport, she was the 2nd gold of thos games

  • I think Australia - Croatia (World Cup 2006, group stage) was the best match together with Nederland - Portugal (last 16) and ofcourse Webber's emotions coming out over the radio after his 1st win was awesome!

  • goes to show just how lucky we are to have such passionate commentators u just dont realise how good they are till u hear some of the others commenting on the events or races we watch with our greats

  • Subscribed!

  • so good to relive all those memories. awesome vids

  • i have a tear in my eye.

  • @hepalopala Me too

  • Some great moments in there although I think Perkins effort stands out over them all. An unbelievable effort from him

  • SOCCEROOS!!!! Best Australian sporting moment ever

  • @Hasselnorris

You are in no position and have no authority to classify what is and what is not a sport.

  • @Hasselnorris wat is every event classified in the olympics? a sport... and cricket is the second most played sport in the world. ...

  • @skormz10 actually volleyball is statistically

  • well you're retarded aren't you?

  • @Hasselnorris footballs shit so is that a sport?

  • i was at the taekwondo thing fkn boring as shit to watch lol

  • awesome vid

  • Allan Donald brain melt sorta tainted that one guys

Where on earth is Andrew Bogut???????????

  • good vid 5 stars

  • why was there rugby union and not league??????

  • I think I speak for the majority of Australians when I say that my favorite sport is not played internationally to a great extent (ie: AFL or NRL). Why then should we not view achievments FROM THE COUNTRIES TWO MOST POPULAR SPORTS in AUSTRALIA'S greatest sporting moments. It strikes me as rather odd!

  • Firstly cricket is actually Australia's most popular sport.

Secondly AFL and NRL not representing Australia respectivley, they are representing a club. Therefore with that theory i could include my local bowls club if i wanted to.

Do you see what I'm getting at?

  • lol, acknoledged! I suppose you are right. Great vid by the way! (:

  • without sounding rude....in what way do you mean cricket is australias most popular sport. do you mean in terms of tv viewers, or match attendance? very few people attend domestic matches. infact most kids in parks today are kicking the round ball in australia......bloody great video too, thanks for kieren perkins inclusion.

  • I wont lie, attendance of certain cricket matches have been down, but collectivley across the whole of Australia cricket is the most supported sport. AFL and NRL are supported in a couple of states but not all, and soccer is just starting to grow in popularity

  • @specdecible hey spec, great video, but I disagree with the cricket statement. Swimming the most participated. Touch football the most mixed participated. Netball the most team and female participated. Soccer the most junior participated. Horse racing the most watched on TV. NRL the most viewed team sport on TV. AFL the most spectated. Golf the most participated socially.

However, cricket is the most culturally linked sport to Australia, but it would be rich to say it is a national sport.

  • @redcliffepadres "it would be rich to say its a national sport"

there a national competition isnt there?

and if u dont think its that big wait till the ashes in november!!

  • @flipsidedogchop oh I realise it's big, I am attending the boxing day test, I'm not against cricket, but it's no more a national sport than some other sports

  • @specdecible

soccer is actualy the countries most favourite sport in terms of how many people play the game for a club.

but in terms of fans id have to think it would be AFL

  • Australia's the greatest sporting country in the world. Great memories of Kaiserslautern & our Socceroos will repeat in South Africa 2010.

  • Great selection fella, brought a tear to my eye!

  • nice work, specdecible :)

  • Another fantastic video. Great work on John Eales's inclusion. What a captain. Puts his hand up and does the job.

  • Re: jono 52795. It would not be Australia's greatest sporting moments if it had the NRL or AFL in it. It would be melbourne's greatest or brisbane's greatest NOT Australia's greatest!

  • good choices

my favorite Mark Webber You Legend

should added Shane Warne 700th wicket,

Adam Gilchrist 2nd fastest test Hundred and Australia wins the cricket world cup for the 4th time.

  • Great two videos. However a bit to much Cadel love, the guy is a whinger

  • as if cadel is whinger, he's easily in the top 5 best athletes australia has at the moment and he's doing us proud in a mainly european dominated sport

  • Im a little disappointed you've not included any achievments from AFL or NRL. Your sport videos seem to focus greatly on the acheivments where Australia "beats the world." These achievments are no doubt honourary, and should be celebrated by the nation as whole, but what about the Storm's past 2 grand final wins: or the Brisbane Lions' 3-peat in the AFL. These moments were landmark moments for sport in Australia too...

  • no one likes AFL or NRL... the world doesn't play either sport. there is no international AFL and international NRL is a joke... bow down

  • The aussies win with pride and lose with pride! more than we can say about the frogs n wogs! and as for the nippons atleast ive got chicken!

  • funny you say that......3/4 of the socceroos is made up of what you call wogs and cahill is half irish, half samoan. as for the nippons, the computer you are using was probably made by asian who studied hard whilst you were sitting on your fat saxon ass drinking extra dry and reading a holden mag.....bogan cunt.
