Most likely, the surviving sons can't afford the note and if the bank owns the house now, maybe it was the banks choice to tear it down. This is a very sad story. I watch Judge Mathis all of the time and I really like him. This young man had to be mentally unstable. These people are paid to bring their cases there, so he wasn't loosing anything.
