  • 16 dislikes? 16 people like dubstep

  • Is he honda's new robot?

  • Just WOW!!

  • I can't wait to watch every video he's in.

  • oh my god, johnny is so brilliant, i love him so so much! he's his own particular style, and i think he's a little bit underrated, mainly because of jojo meyer. i do love him as well, but too often i hear people saying that rabb is not to be compared to jojo.. i think they are wrong!! these 2 drummers are both so creative and different between each other, but they are amazing in any case!

    love rabb style, definitely

  • why you don't like???it's fantastic!!!!!

  • at 10mins he starts breathing fireballs and flying. they cut it short to protect the innocent.

  • Johnny, man, where did you get your DNA? In another part of the solar system...

    FANTASTIC....

How old when he started drumming, I wonder...

  • He can do a one handed roll better than i can do a two handed one.

  • That was SO SICK!

  • Anyone else notice, his grip seems to be slightly different from what i see other drummers using.

  • i thought the end was sped up...nope freakin awesome dood

  • @DrummerGrrrl

This guy is insane. I first saw him on the Roland TD-4, then pulled this up..His is now my fav drummer, by a LONG shot

  • 03:24 great one hand technique!

  • This is quite likely the best drum solo I have heard in my life. I am speachless!

I wish I could do one handed rolls like Johnny Rabb...

  • johnny's style is pooparific. love his chops but man....

  • One handed rolls are really easy once you get it. You pratice and pratice and it sounds like hell, then one day it clicks and you say wow i got it. Life is like that. You got to want it bad enough to practice!!! LOL

  • This guy is pure crap. And by pure crap I mean brilliant.

  • I don't find this to be very musical.

  • woww sickkkknesSSS

  • this guy is just pure genius, to manage to keep this going top drawer stuff

  • @ the 16 dislikes.. Did ANY of you get past the opening 'credits'??

This dude is a weapon! Very different to anything I've seen before..

  • An amazing video of a brilliant drummer and all we see is people arguing over how cool they are. Pathetic.

  • Purely Phenomenal..

  • i really wonder, has this guy actually ever played with a real band?..or even a bass player. I mean, all these are really nice patterns, but how do you put them into music? and dont tell me it cant be done cause Jojo's already done it

  • @voidstuff no, it's a meinl generation x drumbal. they're website says its for making electronic sounds like claps. this guy kinda took that a million steps further.

  • @oliverthomassoon oh! thanks for answering

  • Somebody knows what called first tune he played?

  • needs more cowbell

  • He is really talented, but you have to admit that he is a total asshole, what with the one handed rolls all over the place.

  • wow

  • If I were blindfolded, I wouldn't know how he make those sounds.

  • Pretty cool stuff

  • God, he makes that kit sound three times as big as it is.

  • he's too good

  • By Joe i think you may have cracked it!! totally wicked drumming boss, respect.i love the way you seem to have a technical issue with your sequencer and you go into one of your amazing solos instead..... excellent :)

i not gonna post my vid on here...:))))

  • Comment removed

  • fucking awsome

  • the best solo ,very very good technik, johnny is very good, very good groove, congratulation.

  • interesting fulcrum

  • there's one thing that stuns me... he has impeccable hand technique all around the kit.

  • 16 dumb ass didn't like it !:S

  • Now.. this is a guy who really knows how to have fun his drums!!! NICE!!!

  • creativity....

  • @predoje Exactly. Creativity defines a percussionist's skill. Not speed. I know you just put "creativity..." but thanks for putting it. :) I get tired of metal drummers who think that playing two bass drums really fast means that they're insanely good. It takes a week of solid practice to nail that kind of thing. This stuff takes years.

  • @auk13films i know. In art creativity is most important thing, as personality and differents...

  • @auk13films i dont know will you understand if i say simetric visual sound ;)

  • Damn this guy is off the hook

  • that is the best thing i have ever seen

  • it almost puts you in a trance.... there is so much skill there! very inspiring!

  • what cymbal is he putting on top of the snare?

  • @elieljohn88 It's called a drumble.

  • oh this guy makes what music want to

he combines the sound by a perfect way to get a good execution

wow good Jhonny Rabb a creative drummer cool!

  • 5:22 - 6:31

pure skill. I just realised I'm a shitty drummer.

  • @timmotjo17 you r not the only one feeling that way...

  • @timmotjo17

If you've been playing as much as he does and as dedicated as he is then you should feel bad. Otherwise...I mean, it's hardly fair, to be honest. THE DUDE'S INSANE. And he's got sick backing tracks too.

  • @naturada137

He doesn't even need backing tracks, his drumming alone makes me wanna dance :D

  • @timmotjo17 Agreed; AND we all just realiZed you're a shitty speller!!

  • @derek1134 Ah, thanks :D

  • @timmotjo17 lol... I couldn't resist!

  • @derek1134 And we just REALISED you're an American.

  • Comment removed

  • @derek1134 Really? Are you that incapable of accepting your mistakes? You are counter argumenting Theecollective11 with the fact that he replied you 3 weeks after you posted, but the truth is this all started because you replied to Timmotjo17 "correcting" him 5 MONTHS after he posted.

  • @derek1134 Also, Theecollective11 is right, you're either american or ignorant (or both?), because realiSed is just as correct as realiZed, depending on what part of the world you live in.

You got owned in your own twisted smartass-wannabe game, face it.

    Sorry bud.

  • @derek1134 Actually, out of the 3 Youtube founders only 1 is American, but I guess in your non-banana-picking country you are not allowed to do a 2 seconds search in Google for that little information that wouldve prevented you from looking like a (again) smartass wannabe. Sorry mate, America is not the center of the universe.

  • @luiscdh

ahaha I agree with you but you spelt centRe the American way. Kinda ironic.

    x

  • @derek1134 Also, "you're a shitty speller" is a bit much for a "light-hearted joke" dont you think? In fact, lets say it was, but in that case we could say Theecollective's reply to you was aswell a "light-hearted joke" to which you replied like a True asshole denigrating him for the timeframe he replied on, just because he owned you in your game, altho in your terms, it was just a "light-hearted joke" so..?

You cant win this "bud", you have contradicted yourself in every possible way now.

  • @derek1134 Some else used my account to make that comment, but you sound like a right dickhead. Although if you're trolling kudos to you :D

  • @timmotjo17 LOL :) only thru self awareness can one improve so congrats coz u just improved :)

  • @timmotjo17 i just realized you're also a shitty speller :)

  • @kevinbothwell You're the second person to point that out for me :) Yeah, well, I'm still Dutch 'n all :P

  • Unbelievable. Hypnotic. Beautiful.

  • wahoooo,it's very original, very good technik and very very great drummer....RESPECT.

    beautiful groove

  • the guy is simply unbelievable

  • WOAH! i didn't know Charlie Sheen played drums!

  • @tjdrummer13 lol

  • GOD LIKE

  • Creativity is the whole thing, it is also the only thing that makes music alive.

    Get it?

Stop sticking to those stupid definitions.

  • Oh no! this is not blast beat!

this is rim hitting on upbeats and the stick falls faster to hit the skin again and looks like single roll.

blast beat is speed single dynamic hits

  • he is just amazing!

  • Mr. Rabb tears that shit up with creativity, passion and a sea of unique drum licks and you still see complaints in the fucking comments. Amazing.

  • Johnny's a beast, and very creative. I was lucky to sit right in front during a drum clinic and meet with him briefly. Awesome drummer, awesome dude.

  • He gravity blasts a bit too often for my liking, but it's still a great solo.

  • His main snare achoes too much

  • Really awesome!

    This drummer is great!

  • watching shit like this makes me realise what human beings can acheive. amazing much

  • So creative! You could swear there were several people playing at the same during certain segments.

  • 2:34 cool blast beat on cow-bell ;)

    he's the best

  • @zupati999 that's not a blast beat!

  • @zupati999 I'm afraid HeavyMetalen666 is quite right. That was just a freakin' glorious one handed roll. I don't know where you got the blast beat idea from...

  • @SeniorTurducken haha wow i never even thought like that...nice

  • his snare is huge!

  • @AntidoteDrummer That's what she said

  • I still have not been able to find this song! LOL

  • Do you know what the background song?

  • ¿sabeis cual es el tema que utiliza de base ??

  • @myalteregohatesme

Steve Smith 1983 Zildjian show, Tommy Aldridge, Neil Peart, and Nicko McBrain (Iron Maiden)

  • so clean!

  • Love this track! SUPER DUPER GET READY TO ROCK.

  • Oh My God!!!!!!!

  • this guy is too good it makes me sick

  • that is some excellent handwork, it is not hard to gravity roll though, i don't play drums but i can do it pretty easily with my right hand, obviously not with such dexterity and accuracy.

  • i think hes a robot

  • close you're eyes and listen....sounds great, but i think he looks very weird playing this kind of music, for some reason jojo just fits the VISUAL build more.....but suppose that don't matter

  • crazyness

  • crazy samba at round 5:30 this man can do anything

  • i love you!

  • damn

  • what a fuck!!!!!!!!!!! I hate you.[2]

  • That's just crazy! Rabb you da man.

  • @ all asking, I also looked on-line and itunes, couldn't find the song either. Tried Super Duper (Get ready to rock) and all other combos nothing. I'll take a private lesson and ask him lol!

  • Rabb you the man! I'm back playing thanks to you (the right way)..

  • That snare have sweeeeet sound for me... any one know the name of the main snare ?!

  • I don't know what the name of this song is, but I wish that I had a copy of it. Anybody know the name of it?

  • Super Duper then a solo

  • I tired to find this song (super duper) on the internet. I did see a couple of places that sold Rabb's CD, but the company was in Germany. Anyway, if anybody knows where I can get a copy of this song I would appreciate it. Thanks!

  • what a fuck!!!!!!!!!!! I hate you..

  • MOTHER FUCKER!! SON OF A BITCH!!

  • pure awesome.

  • Haha fuck this guy is insane! How the hell does he keep that gravity blasts so clean?

  • look at those gravity blasts!!

  • Care to explain what a gravity blast is?

  • its the freehand technique that johnny does, but played as a blast beat

  • @ExoticlyExtreme its when u rest ur stick on the rim and kinda like..and let it roll up and and down. i dunno its really hard to explain. i cant do them myself there hard as fuck. but i bet u alot of marching band ppl can cuz i think thats where i came from.

  • 5:28

Well, this guy applies not only the freehanded-fills to the snare, the rim of the snare and the toms, but even on the cowbells. That's epic. This is the today real creativity and musicality on drums.

  • this just makes me feel worthless haha

  • what song is that in the beggining?

  • shit this guy makes me want to play the drums! ahahah

  • =O~

  • unreal!!

  • kickass snare is it 16 inch or what wtf?!?!

  • the guy is an inspiration... unreal. almost makes you wanna quit, but then you stop and think about how good a person can get even if it half that good!

  • this guys better than me - it hurts to say it- hes damn good - whose he played with live or recorded with?

  • theres a guy called guido wyss who is also good with the gravity blasts. he does it in a death metal style though. he also uses two of those one foot double pedals. alot of you probably wont like his stuff, but its worth a check. kicks are all triggered, but no one else is really doing the stuff hes doing so its cool. gotta pay homage to the creators!!

  • He's like the Rodney Mullen of drumming

  • ahahahah XD LOL

  • kind of looks like him too

  • unsurpassed feeling and creativity, he's unbelievable...

  • O_O Ten minutes of pure madness O_O

  • what type is that cymbal he uses on the snare?

  • it's called a drumbal. he co-designed it with meinl. i think its in their (meinl) website somewhere, try checking generation x and safari series

  • thanks :)
