the other pulse rifles are all in private hands now and I own one of them.

@hummerskickass there is only one sentry gun left that too is owned by a collector, yes it could fire live once but the pulse rifle is now deactivated so can not fire anything.

Worth well what anyone is willing to pay the last one went for well over five figures.

What's funny is they will piss and moan over a real ammunition shooting pulse rifle while letting some flashy light saber video pass without criticism. And for the record, caseless ammunition is a futuristic technology. While we aren't quite there yet, we do have some rudimentary attempts, like Metalstorm. I thought the rifle was awesome.

This is a movie prop. It doesn't actually NEED to fire ammo. It just needs to make loud noises to be edited in post-processing. How do they get around dropping spent cartridges all over the place while filming?

@halskarl Someone should do that. Build an M41-A out of a G11, and fire Frag-12 shotgun grenades out of the shotgun part. It would effectively be a fully functional M41-A with grenade launcher. The only problem is the magazine size.

`i doubt its that ACTUAL gun right from the movies right? Coz it looks like it does have a little recoil,.. unlike in the movie. l, i rememberin the commentary, Cameron said he had to reshoot Vasquez several times coz she couldn't act like she was experiencing recoil firing the pulse rifle... and he had to take Sigourney to a gun range so she could "practice" acting like she had recoil while shooting on scene.

@corporalcharlie of course it has recoil, if it didnt how would the empty cases eject we built all the guns for ALIENS so it has to be real, The Thompson was built so it did not has excessive recoil on full auto or you would never stand a chance of hittting anything you aim at, but ofcourse blanks are less than live ammo.

Gun is good, but you guys need the bulet counter AND to get the sound-effect right lol. The sound was like half of the allure in that movie. i can imagine that possibly means experimenting with the rounds themselves or the shape of the chamber or something.
