Youtube Video: SHOT Show 2011: Olight Chairman Discusses New Products (6000Lumen)
Hi: Can this CR123 size 10,000 mAh high capacity nickel hydride metal (Ni-MH) rechargeable batteries blow off the Olight 800 Lumen Led Torch? Will it auto increase current draw for 4 CR123 size at (3v x 4pc) x 10,000mAh = 120W power or auto fix Draw back at 9.6W Power?
Olight Led does not have voltage regulation control.
Normal Battery was using (3v x 4)x 800mAh=9.6W
if change all battery to 4 CR123 size 3v with 10,000mAh, will it create 120W power & Double to 1600 Lumen Brighness or more
I have an Olight T10. I bought it in Amsterdam while on holiday. They have a shop where all the range is on display which was absolutely awesome to see and play around with. I was amazed at just how bright these things are and you can't really display this by a video on youtube, you simply have to physically be out in the dark with one to see how good they are. Buy one, you won't be disappointed, believe me.
I ordered this light awhile ago but still didnt get it yet. Its back ordered. Currently I use 215lumen fenix P3D Q5. How much brighter is this light compared to something like 200 lumen led lights?
I just got one from battery junction, and it was defective. They have another one in the mail to me now. The defective one did work momentarily and it destroyed my P3D (215L).
Also, to the video maker, your video DOES show the flicker the medium and low modes have. Olight utilizes pulse-width modulation ("PWM") which is at 104 hertz and your camera is actually capturing it's flicker. It's apparently barely noticable to the naked eye..but noticable. Glad i don't plan to use those modes! :)
lol dya have super eyes/brain then?:P Our mainstream powernet has a frequency of 50Hz. Which means our lights also flicker at 50Hz I can't see them flicker so i think i wouldn't see 104Hz flicker either. 23Hz is what we see and that is, i hope, a fluent image of life.
Thanks for the great review. I just ordered this light today. Looks like it can handle just about everything you'd ever need from a light. Expensive for sure, but that's how it goes for the best.
Your review was FAR from useless. It was very interesting and informative. The explanation of the various modes and their operation is invaluable for those considering buying one. The measurements and the size etc was also useful.
It's very difficult to accurately portray night time / outdoor beam shots anyway.
Thanks for taking the time to do the review, it's much appreciated by 99% of your viewers.
Ok nice review (i watched it without sound) But what is definately missing, is some material about using it outdoor. Or does anybody use this lamp for checking his wallpaper? :-)
Nice and substantial review, you went through all the features and explaned the UI of the flashlight, well done! Thanx for your effort.

The screw threads on my Olight M30 have worn out after only 11 months of normal battery recharging.
The screw threads on this torch are not anodised.
This leaves the torch unreliable and virtually useless therefore.
Otherwise it is a great torch.
I am trying to get a new one under 24 months warranty.

I had the M30 but i lost it :(:( i'm looking for replacment, because the light is so bright. The strobe function is also very handy. Good product.

This review is worthless without an outdoor/night-time demonstration. Also, the echo makes it hard to understand what you're saying.

I don't have suitable equipment to do a more comprehensive outdoor type review.
