How can someone choke on a Kinder Surprise? The egg is hollowed out, the chocolate part is really thin (and easily breakable) so you're prepared for seeing the capsule. It's not like the inside of the egg is filled out around a toy. The capsule is huge too; I'm 15 and I can't get it into my mouth, so...

And I think even a kid can clue in that it's not edible as they'll try to taste it - it's plastic and tastes like it.

Also there's a warning on the wrapper+the box. (not give to 3 and under,etc)

I think its understandable for the US to ban out of over-precaution. Though I personally don't have a problem with Kinder eggs. First off, the plastic capsule is big yellow or orange plastic container! Its designed to not fit into a child's mouth. It can barely fit an adult's mouth. As for the toys, me as an adult, have difficulty opening the damned things. And finally, what parent in their right mind would give a 1 year old child a whole Kinder egg without supervision with or without the ban.

I still buy Kinder eggs and I'm 18 ^^ But what makes me violently upset, is that at least 60% of the toys that come with them, are pre-assembled. -__- Seriously? what's the damn point now?!
