Look, I'm not nominating this guy for president- I certainly don't agree with him on a lot of issues; he's done some ugly things in the name of Islam. But I do believe, and many psychologists/ behaviorists will agree with me, that environment can play a great role in determining the way a person turns out. Right or wrong, Al-Zawahiri is targeting Western countries because of the blatant Western nation-building and disregard for basic human rights in Muslim countries going on LONG before 9/11.

Al-Zawahiri is the product of his environment... an environment which countries like the US have created. US foreign policy over the years has done nothing but assert to Muslims, not just in the Middle East, but all over the World, that the US perceives Christian and Jewish interests and lives to be more valuable than Muslims', although it is the US Constitution which states that ALL humans have certain inalienable rights.
