It was down to some confusion over a routine medical. Physicians couldn't get any readings from electrodes attached to Teds head, until they looked at medical records & realized he'd always been dead from the neck up anyway.

So some guy gets cheated on by their girlfriend and decides to go shoot her, and he tells everyone that she tried to kill him and he had to. How could they prove him wrong? If we let people take justice into their own hands, smart people will be able to kill anyone without going to prison. We need courts to decide who the guilty party is and their sentence for the crime, not just "I don't agree with you" *bang* "you're dead.

@DOGLUV007 Everyone would probably prefer a dead violent offender over a repeat violent offender, but we have to let the courts decide that, carry guns, protect yourself sure, but do not kill anyone unless it is the only possible option. Also human judgement can be clouded often, we can not take manslaughter cases too lightly either as they can be set up. Improve courts and prisons, that's the answer, don't encourage the public to kill. It'll lead to too many emotional killings.

That seems pretty necessary to ANYONE with a brainstem! If you directly have a gun pointed to your face, then by all means pull out your gun and shoot, however, what if the situation is, two guys decide to fist fight when they are drunk, one gets angry and pulls out a gun and shoots the other because the other was being violent, that sort of thing happened all the time in the "wild west" when it was encouraged.
