klipsi I missed the eclipse, rained out at jinshanwei and shanghai, man.. how did you know the weather will be good at Hangzhou?

well I did not really "know" it would be good but I looked at the weather systems, the cold front was coming from the north and heading south, so depending on its speed you had to be pre-front or post-front . Prefront looked better to me, the front was moving slowly south. On eclipse morning it was overcast but I had web access and saw a wide hole in cloud on satellite image, moving my way, so I went for it and found it. It helps to be a stormchaser, too ;-)
