  • Best. Way. To Die. Ever.

  • "yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift, that is why it is called present" -master oogway

  • Leaves me in tears,To loss one who is so wise and guides you threw life but too use what you learn to help the next generation......

  • you know people who say stuff like this film is 'crap' cause its about talking animals thus meaning its for kids thus meaning its shit can watch the elegance and beauty of THIS scene and shut the fuck up

  • @DarkoneStudios totally agree with you bro!

  • It's just me? or oogway dies and turns into krishna, the blue god?... anyone?

  • @LateralClavicle Yes, there is a little glimps of the seated buddah - the aspect of which is present in us all.

  • "Shifu, there is just news. There is no good or bad."

"Master your vision was right! Tai-Lung has broken out of prison! He's on his way!"

    ''That is bad news."

    LOL XD

    I love Oogway's face <3

  • He became one with nature, beautiful :)

  • Sounds like a white Morgan Freeman.

  • "But there are things we can control. I can control when the fruit will fall." (Fruit accidentally falls on his head.)

  • @BluePhire1 "There are no accidents" - Oogway

  • Come to think about it, Very inspirational.

  • this soundtrack is sad

  • Promise me youtube viewers, promise me... You will believe.

  • @skinnytomyjeans1227 xD I will try.

  • @skinnytomyjeans1227 i believe

  • My most favourite scene ever in one of my most favourite movies!

  • the greatest death scene i have ever seen in a movie.

  • @TheLastHylianTitan Since no sign of you know real deaths :)

  • This scene is awesome in that it also relates to us all. When we have an expectation of others, we should only accept them for who they are, not for who we want them to be. Especially for us who are parents.

  • :shifu: master! i have very bad news! :oogway: its just news there is no good or bad.:shifu: your vision your vision was right! tai lung has broken out of prison! he's on his way! :oogway: (oogway freezes) that is bad news.

  • that is bad news

  • i want to die like this.

  • Oogway's spirit is literaly still around in Po's world if you watch the show in the episode Ghost of Oogway in the end.

  • Amazing.......

  • Oogway is so wise that people in the afterworld rely on him. Not the pharaohs.

  • please goto my chanel and whatch my video in spanish kunfupanda es mas gracioso en espanol

  • As a student of Psychology and as well as Martial Arts I can see and interpret this video in many wonderful and meaningful ways.I am most curious how does a painter, dancer, musician interpret this video? How does your respective art, field, personal history allow you to see what is to be seen.......

  • @Niri0196 good say

  • If Humans died turning into Cherry Blossoms and ascend with the breeze then death wouldn't look or sound so bad..

  • Pretty much most of the comments say that he died and it is sad. I don't believe he did, he just asended into the next conciousness (aka reached enlightenment or nirvana) that to me is not truly death itself. This is a beautiul scene and one of my favorites especially about controlling the peach tree and the peaches.

  • To me, a film is a success when it can make me laugh, be frightened and cry in the same film.

Kung Fu Panda, and it's sequel, are two such films that meet those targets.

For this movie, this was one of the crying moments for me.

  • @Sparrowcompass I noticed the neck movement too. I wonder if it was intentional.

  • @Sparrowcompass I noticed that too.

  • Oogway's ascention was one on the saddest and most beautiful things ive seen i found is to be a refreshing change from masters always dying to become one with the universe like in other movies it still brings a tear to my eye and a smile to my face at the same time every time i see it

  • please enable the embedding!!!!!!!!

  • it's sad when oogway dies

  • @TheOmegaAsh Oggway isn't dying in that moment... like master and learned enough in the earth than just will trascend our plane of existence to another place. That's the beauty of chinese culture. Greetings

  • Ironically shifu is a red panda and criticizes po :P Hypocrite

  • I love little animal mannerisms like that, the same way Shifu will twich his ears in the series.

  • 0:42/0:44

Oogway raises his neck simarler to the way a real Galapagos Tortoise would to so dominance.

  • I love it when he says "that is bad news" 0:22 XD

  • i just noticed the screen is reversed

  • 2:10 I expected Oogway to pull out a Yoda quote.

  • Beautiful, no other word fits here.

  • Master shifu: "Master! you can't leave me!"

    Master oogway: "Watch me!"

  • Oh my goodness, I love the song that plays when Oogway ascends. Hans Zimmer is amazing

  • Bring him back dammit :'( !!

  • How Oogway died was so beautiful, I love the flying cherry blossoms, we love you Oogway. It's a shame he died and isn't going to be in any of the movies or tv shows, aside from flashbacks, he would've been awesome!

  • @mckfrr yeah I love the music

  • 2:55 Awwwwww

  • Oogway in cl means tortouise or turtle. Btw facing the giants is a great movie to watch pls evrryone go and take a look

  • How old was Oogway? 100-400 years old?

  • How is it that cartoon movies and animations teach us the best lessons in comparison to the regular action movies we see daily in cinemas.. Characters like Oogway reveal us more truth about the life and wisdom on our planet but no one listens.

  • "But a peach cannot defeat Tai Lung!" I love the stupidity in that line.

  • @RacbecSkywalker he can choke on the peach, fall asleep eating too many peaches or poisoning the peaches, the simple things in life we love the most can kill us!

  • @paladindarknite

Yes, he can. But it's still a funny way to kill someone, right?

  • @RacbecSkywalker lol captain obvious reporting to tell you that "the peach" was just a metafore for the panda

  • @Xirus5

I don't think so, for some reason. You could be right, though.

  • there are NO accidents if u see my comment here in the comment section...

  • " I can control where to plant the seed" and misses the hole throwing ROFL LMAO :-D

  • "Promise me Shifu. Promise me you will believe."-Master Oogway

    "I...I will try."-Master Shifu

"Try not. Do. Or do not. There is no try." -Yoda :)

  • This scene is truly a work of art.

  • beautiful!!!!!

  • After reaching true enlightenment, disipating into flower pedals on top of a mountain. Thats how i want to die.

  • Shifu: :( "Master I have - uh, it's very bad news". :{

Oogway: "Ah, Shifu, there is just news. There is no good or bad." :3

Shifu: -.-..... "Master, your vision - your vision was right! Tai Lung has broken out of prison! He's on his way!" D:

Oogway: :O "That IS bad news..." :/

    XD

  • one day I hope to become as wise as Master Oogway :)

  • Best movie, evar.

  • I need that song so badly

  • @ForestJBrian It's here on Youtube. Search for Oogway Ascends.

  • 1:11-1:27 Geez Shifu needs to take a chill pill

  • I like how he says peach

  • The ascention of Oogway is the most beautiful piece of animation and accompanying music I have ever seen.

  • "ah, that *is* bad news..." :'D Oogway made me laugh so hard <3

  • @SanityGlow Ooway: Nooo you just need to believe, promise me shifu, promise me you will believe. Shfu: I will try. Ooway good.. My time has come. You must continue your journey without me. Shifu: wha wha wha what are you. Master you can't leave me. Ooway You must believe! Shifu: Master!

  • When he fades away into the blossom pedals, that was the most beautiful thing i've ever seen in a movie.

  • :,,,-(

  • I can't see the scene without crying.

  • best part for me... Good work..

  • One of my favorite disney movies because it combines martial arts and funny animals =D It truly shows the elegance and significance of martial arts from a different perspective, a way in which some people will never see or experience. The music and petals at the end was brilliant.

  • @xhalox42 this isnt a disney movie.

  • @betrekwoman my bad =/ dreamworks** lol

  • oogway smokes too much!

  • Probably the best scene in the movie-very touching, thought provoking and powerful. Thank You for posting! :)

  • God oogway was the best character.

  • is it embarassing to say that my eyes teared up when he died? :'(

  • @giselejames not at all so did mine :'(

  • @giselejames no dammit! everyone teared up!

  • Truly, Oogway is a master. This cartoon, strangely, revealed more to me about Kung Fu than the Tao Te Ching itself. This cartoon is amazingly powerful, even though most people who read this will consider it childish.

  • @AndyRaslan It doesn't matter what other people "consider", what matters is what you believe! I cried like a baby at this movie.

  • @AndyRaslan If all of us have the same feeling,we won't consider it childish......for i don't! Thanks for this post!

  • @AndyRaslan I don't find it childish at all. Oogway is a great master, and an awesome role-model. He taught me how forget yesterday, not worry about tomorrow, and enjoy today. He is probably the wisest character I've ever seen.

  • @TheSamvadar Agree a 100%! Oogway is beyond a special character who shows traits that we can all benefit from.

He does return in the series as a spirit in one episode at the end offically which shows even if for that one time he is still around and not gone and never coming back sorta thing.

  • @Sparrowcompass really? cool.

  • @TheSamvadar I don't know if u agree but for me Master Oogway resembles Master Yoda from Star Wars: both are harmless in appearance, powerful fighters when needed and they are deep sources of wisdom. And Oogway's death also looks like the death of a Jedi Master like Obi Wan. Anyway, this scene is pretty touching and beautiful.

  • @corbilly Oh I agree

  • @corbilly you're right. you are very right.

  • @TheSamvadar You know, after the day I watched this scene here and commented about Jedis and so on, I was in the mood to see again all the six films of Star Wars saga. I just finished watching Return of Jedi :) The curious thing is that even Star Wars has many things borrowed from other stories like old Greek mythology. I wonder who is the real inventor of totally new stories today (if totally new stories exist today...) :)

  • @corbilly I'm very aware of this. they also based a lot of their stories off history of the Romans. Almost every story is based off another. People do it all the time. It's no big deal. Still, it is pretty fascinating.

  • @TheSamvadar Sure, no big deal. But I am fascinated seeing how people is able to "rewrite" and create new things based in very old stories without getting us bored. I mean, I liked very much Kung Fu Panda, I do appreciate Dreamworks cartoons in general. They always make me laugh and make me feel as if I was a child ;)

  • @corbilly I'm glad to have met you

  • @TheSamvadar Oh thanks, it was my pleasure! Guess we'll be in touch again in the future, perhaps commenting some other nice video on youtube ;)

Best regards from São Paulo, Brasil. Happy 2012 lol

  • Classic.

  • I always get goosebumps at the end

  • @ospc250 omg me too! :D

  • Shifu... there is only news, no good or bad news. Master, your vision was correct, Tai Long has escaped! ... That is bad news... LOL

  • Predestination...

  • Master Shifu is so cute.He is a little adorable fur ball. And I like him the best in this movie.

  • You must believe.... :)

    God I love these movies.

  • "You may wish for an apple or an orange but you will have a peach." :)

  • @Mssrezamb 'but a peach cannot defeat tai lung' :)

  • @flaviapussycatdoll94 maybe it can if you are willing to nurture it.

  • Thank you for this. I've been looking for it.
