You have to sit through the end credits of 1 in order to get the import auto save i think

@woodledoodledoodle That's not necessary. The import save is made as soon as you defeat the Sovereign. It doesn't even register whether you choose Anderson or Udina to the Council, which is why they need to ask you that early in ME2.

Hi, i just got attacked by Geth on my ship. I left the ship with the other small ship.. idk its name right now. Only Joker was left, and you control him. He had to engage emergency. ( all life on ship will be dead. ) I dont have a fucking team anymore! Only stupid Amanda or something, and Jacob and this one horned alien are left XD omg what can i do to bring my team back??? HELP ME!

Just got Mass effect 1&2 3 days ago and almost got a shock when this happened. Was no way i would have suspected this to happen!

Ive just played this part on the demo on ps3 and the bit where you walk through the broken section and you can look up at that planet was just amazing.

Question ... im planning on getting this game without going for ME1 ... does this mean you cannot start a game where the council and wrex live ... or can these only be done if you import a saved game

Without ME1 save import Wrex and council will be dead. There is a website that lets you download ME1 saves with paragon/renegade paths and different choices. Just google "mass effect saves"

@Valen123456 sadly yes, I'm guessing that the default game assumes you were neutral the whole time. Frankly, I'd get ME1 first, this game is a trilogy, and getting 2 is like watching Empire Strikes Back or Two Towers without watching the respective first movie, it's good on its own, but you'll understand a lot more by watching the first one.

Geez the part where the Normandy is blowing up just makes me feel like I'm watching an alternate dimension of the first game. I mean, in the first it's so peaceful and now...it just feels wierd watching it go down.

There's only one thing I don't like about this beginning, you have to be super-human to read the prologue text. Wth? You're literally skimming and once i've "read" it, i've no idea what i've read. My brain can't take it in. Sure it's a recap of the previous game, but still!
