This show is so great because it simply reflects 'reality' in a realistic manner.. theres no corny 'stereotypical' mass-commercialized/overexaggerated writing or acting throughout this whole series, it invokes 'real' life situations that u would see occur in common everyday delimmas from family problems to domestic disputes to centralized political problems etc.. on top of that its extremely entertaining, funny, unique, awsome cast, an sticks true to the soprano family crime connection/stories

i fuckin hated aj.. such an idiot loser. i really hated the way the writers wrote his character... should have been much stronger. he was pathetic and his acting sucked anyway.. especially in the earlier seasons.

i agree, but something tells me they had to write him as such a loser because he was a loser in real life. it was obvious that he was the worst actor in the entire series, so the writers probably made it easy for themselves by writing him as a worthless, spoiled loser who talked big but could never amount to anything....

@robbyydigital I think he was really unsympathetic in the first seasons, like up to the third or fourth, but then his character really grew and he displayed more sides to himself... meadow was way more annoying in my opinion.

@robbyydigital i liked his character in the 1st few seasons like when he paged the kid all the time, broke into the school and ordered that weird pizza. it was when he got all depressed and like a liberal stereo type is when he got retarded. if the writers wanted his character to be memorable i think they should have explored his happiness over violence more, maybe had him beat up that puerto rican girl or attack some random person to get out some of his anger. killing jr would have been cool

I couldn't stand aJ throughout the whole series. In the last season when he tried to kill himself I just said good riddance. but then he pussed out and wanted to live. Tony should have kicked aj's ass when he was growing up. Maybe he wouldn't have been so fucked up.
