  • I don't believe in these so called "cuss" words. They are simply words. There is no difference between the word (and I will be respectful, here) crap, and the word sh*t. The phrase "aw shoot" and "aw d*mn" are the exact same phrase, only different wording. It's HOW we use the words that are wrong. I would never damn anyone (the phrase "d*mn you), but there is nothing wrong with "well d*mn." As I said, it's not the words themselves, but rather how they are used.

  • Thanks, I needed some quotes for our RE program.

Some one was trying to justify the use of profanity.

    God Bless

  • one thing we should relize is the gospel. for those who say cussing is not a sin, i want you to think about this. would you share the gospel and cuss at the same time? the very message of God powerful to save being mixed in with cussing? if you say no, then why? and if its wrong to do that then its wrong when we are not shareing the gospel becuase our lives our a testemony of that truth.

  • Very Acknowledged! I know I need to do better myself. With God's help, may I do just that!

  • I see so many people who claim they're Christian that curse a lot. It just makes me sad.

  • @PhotoCocoa96 What we say tells you whats in our hearts ! You may want to watch the other parts. When the LORD saved me I was set free from profanity and that was 36 years ago.God bless you.Bro.David.

  • Ladies and Gentlemen of the jury. My name is Jeffrey of Brooklyn, NY. I am a full time sinner. I am a Cussing Christian. I was raised from the streets of New York City that taught me to be tough and don't be afraid of nothing or anyone. I am an african-american male who have fallin' victim to violence, sex, smoking, using profanity when I carry a conversation with someone, drinking alcohol, whatever.

i'm a cussing christian that needs help. Peace.

  • @djsrecords6969 Yeah, I hear ya. So easy to say stuff, especially among people we know won't think twice of it! I won't say the "f" or "b" word and my and the words I HAVE used recently is only directed at objects or fictional characters, but I've said the other 2 and I need to stop. The consolation I find is that if I feel convicted of something, then the Holy Spirit is still here with us and we still have a chance to make it right (something I am already highly concerned of in my own case!).

  • @djsrecords6969 U Just need JESUS! and BE SAVED!

  • @djsrecords6969 U Just need JESUS! and BE SAVED! NO MORE EXCUSES!

  • @djsrecords6969 U Just need JESUS! and BE YE SAVED! NO MORE EXCUSES!

  • This is just sad. People, if you don't know that cursing is wrong, then YOU have a problem. I see all these comments of people trying to justify cursing. This just shows how carnal people really are. So in love with their sin that they will try to justify their "FILTHY COMMUNICATION". The Bible talks about FILTHY COMMUNICATION. You mouths are like toilet bowls and yet you believe God sees that as ok and that it pleases the Lord? NO! NOT AT ALL AND IF I'M THE ONLY ONE TO SAY IT TO YOU OH WELL

  • @KakkoiGuy1 Excellent comment my friend ! The bible is so clear on this topic.Profanity is a sin and should have no place in our lives as followers of Jesus Christ.God bless you.Bro.David.

  • @aflame4God Thanks Bro. David. I dated a girl that claimed to have a strong relationship with Christ and after a while she showed another side of herself and was cursing up a storm. I'd always say something to her about it and it would offend her. That shouldn't be. I realized that some people are not regenerated. And then there are those that are being sanctified and they hate their sin and don't make excuses for it and call on God to deliver them from the OLD MAN. There is a difference

  • between the two. The first type that I mentioned love their sin and when you say something to them about it, that "Profane Spirit" (because it is a demonic spirit) takes over and fights you verbally because it doesn't want to let go. The second is saved but the profane spirit has that as a strong hold and they are fighting spiritually against those strongholds. One loves the sin the other hates it and fights it and wants to be free. So those on here excusing it are of the first type.

  • this was dope!!! Thanx for uploading! : ) God Bless!!!

  • What is considered profane language in one country is not so in another. There are some countries where the word shit has no meaning what so ever. The Japanese language has no curse words in it at all. And you will find the words ass, damn, and hell in the bible but yet if I use them I m a swearing, how so? A bitch is a female dog but if I call a person that I am swearing? How so? Why is it alright to say, do-do, poo-poo, feces's, crap, or any of the other names for it but not shit?

  • @wayne1955 It is the intention in your heart that you can not hide from God when you speak. Gossip is a hurtful thing to do and is a sin even if you don't swear at all in your conversation.

  • @wayne1955 This isn't true. I lived in Japan for a third of my life and they do have curse words. I know a few although I never use them. And yes I speak Japanese. Was almost married to one.

  • Furthermore, the Bible says this. Its not what goes into a man that defiles him but what comes out. If profanity comes out of you that means you have a profane heart. And if those words are ok for you to say and you see nothing wrong with it, then I guess it's ok for your kids (if you have any) to call you the B work and an MF'er and you not get mad about it. Would you really teach children that type of language? I don't think so. That alone shows you it's wrong. You are justifying your actions

  • i use to chew people up with profanity laced tirades. such a sad, little man i was. i give so much praise and thanks to my king, my lord... my christ for accepting me as one of his sons. i love jesus christ. thank you father.

  • @arnoldsimage Praise Jesus for your comments my friend.Jesus set me free when HE saved me..free from sin and I used the worst kind of profanity like it was a weapon to kill and the tongue can do a lot of destruction.A clean heart and a clean tongue. So many decent words to use to express ourselves if we would just read a dictionary.GOD BLESS YOU.

  • @aflame4God Amen! MY brothers/sisters in Christ! Thy WORD is TRUTH! John 17:17

  • @arnoldsimage oh well done. you are no longer that sad little man any more. like me i used to swear right up until i looked up this video, now i realise i have to stop. i have used it as a defence mechanism, swearing to defend myself against people that have hurt me but i see its like trying to curse them, its of the devil i guess.

  • Tell me if I am wrong, but a sin is a breaking of the ten commandments? I guess when you cuss somebody out that is considered murder. But if your parents never told you any better, I don't think it can be a sin as long as you don't say it with hatreds towards other people.

  • @iCookienCream 1Jn3:4sin is the transgression of the law. Consider the two greatest commandments...love the Lord your God with all your heart, mind, soul, and strength...and love your neighbor as yourself...All the commandments hang on these two (like being under an umbrella).Look at Rom.13:8 Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law. Now compare that to the model prayer...forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors. When we sin we've failed

  • Whats worst? A cursing Christian or a Christian who post lies in support of there cause?

  • "Cuss words" aren't a "sin". They're an invention of man and society. It's only offensive to a lot of people because they grew up learning that certain words are "profane" and have never questioned why. You could say other words that mean the exact same thing, like "darn", "crap", "heck", etc. and nobody is offended. Because the meaning has nothing to do with why they're considered offensive. Some words are just considered taboo and are socially unacceptable, but not sinful.

  • @Volitan93 those words you stated as being acceptable are really no different than the words you refer to as being offensive. they both come from the same profaning heart. there is nothing holy in the use of either class of expressions. they both speak to the same state of that person's heart. in being called to be holy as he is holy, Peter goes onto exhort: If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; 1 Pet 4:11a.

  • @Volitan93 Jesus also warned us that we shall give an account to every idle word that we speak (Mat 12:36). no man can honestly declare that he is pursuing holiness in his speech when he uses such words. the distinction is not whether society accepts or is offended at profane words; but whether or not what we say is reflective of the call to holiness, and the cause of praise to the name of the Lord; that as Peter also went on to say:...

  • @Volitan93 Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation. 1 Pet 2:12

Having a good conscience; that, whereas they speak evil of you, as of evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ. 1 Pet 3:16

  • Thank you for sharing. My pastor always says there is no such thing as a cussing Christian. It's one thing to have slipups because of the past or hearing it around us, but it's another to purposefuly curse and be unrepentent of it.

  • We actually get to choose our words so why not choose the best. You may not be able to choose the best house, car, clothes, jewelry, etc, but you can choose the best and highest words. Why choose garbage, ugliness, stupidity. Fine words cost no more than cheap words. And fine words lift both the speaker and the hearer.

  • Of course remember that in certain circumstances - excruciating pain, the person cussing is not looking for elegance, or aesthetics at all, just a means of discharging the pain as quickly as possible. Apparently the method of screaming profane words - on a scientific level - was proven to do this well.

  • gnorance at it's finest. Cursing is a sin, but cussing isn't. Cuss words are made up by man. They are nothing more than a combination of letters in the alphabet. It's how you use those words that determine if it is bad or not. Did you know that "Dang it" was once considered a cuss word? How many of you all have said that?

  • I wonder if these videos about "cussing Christians" would be convicting to a guy out in the Fort Worth area who calls himself the "Whiskey Preacher".

  • @GRANTEDREPENTANCE _ Yes, that is certainly a valid statement. We can be angry, but we can also think before we post, and indeed SHOULD think before posting, every time.

  • i am guilty.

praise God for giving us a chance to change

  • @eDrifter1 Amen by the power of the Holy Spirit and the strength of the Lord Jesus we can break any sinful habit and get the victory and use our lips to sing His Praise!! Bro.David.

  • @GRANTEDREPENTANCE Excellent point.Typing is more pre-meditated and before you click POST a person really needs to ask,'IS THIS CHRISTLIKE?".

  • Good Video. Thanks for making and uploading. : )

  • Good video, and a message many of us need. Must point out, though, that we CANNOT assume that people who commit such a sin are not Christians. Christians still sin; the Bible is clear on this. We are to try not to, but we WILL fail at times. One way or another, we all sin. The thing to do is gently admonish the one that goofs, as this video does, but not to question their salvation. On that note, though, the unsaved WILL question us when we fail.

  • It is a blessing to see many channels that make it clear that profanity will not be allowed and it is grievous to see christian channels that use all kinds of unclean words that are filthy. It sends a very mixed message and it is a very bad witness for Jesus. Before i was saved i knew cussing was wrong and i do not plan to use it ever by the grace of God.

  • Seems to me that the grace of God leads to holy living.Shall we sin that grace may abound God forbid Paul says! Rom.6 we yield our memebers to become members of righteousness which in cludes the tongue! No Christian channel should use vulgar words and cussing comments.A changed heart leds to a changed tongue. What comes out of the heart defiles the man.If you do not repent a 'prayer' will not save you.We must turn from our sins including profanity and put faith in a Saving Lord!!

  • Titus1:16"They profess to know God,but in works they DENY HIM !! Being abominable, and unto every good work reprobate."A born again person HAS A NEW DIVINE LIFE AND WILL BEAR GOOD FRUIT..many confess to be saved but deny Him in good works after their profession of faith.Titus2:14'Who gave Himself for us that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and PURIFY unto himself a peculiar people ZEALOUS OF GOOD WORKS". Eph2:10'For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto GOOD WORKS."

  • @mistercommentman James 3:10'And so blessing and cursing come pouring out of the same mouth. My brothers this is not right!Does a spring send forth fresh water and bitter from the same fountain?"The person who has no control over his tongue is usually 'out of control' in other areas of life. But the person who has discipline over this area has yielded to the control of the Holy Spirit and will be able to keep other areas in check as well. When you see profanity on a channel it turns people off.

  • To ALYASS0U3RABBI THE BIBLE SAYS 'let no corrupt communication come out of your mouth' and the bible is full of warnings against using foul language in the O.T. and N.T. 2 Peter 2:7 has nothing to do with being free to use profanity!! Looking at your page its easy to see why you are so defensive for you yourself seem to like to use profane words and gestures..like as***hole and flipping the bird a reference to the 'F' -word !! You are making excuses!

  • @Matthew633Mom The men you speak of did not live in sin.Paul was transformed and he is the very one who commands us to put off filthy communcation!! Grace does not give you a permit to sin! You say the condition of the heart does not matter!! WOW! James 1:26"If anyone among you thinks he is religous, and does not bridle his tongue but decieves his own HEART,THIS ONES RELIGON IS IN VAIN".You cannot even make a comment witout 'cussing."

  • @Matthew633Mom AMEN!

  • @Matthew633Mom The guy below must not have watched the video that presents clear doctrine. He uses a lot of bad langauge! The blood of Jesus does not just cover it cleanses us from sin!Paul,Moses,David WERE forgiven and they were contrite about their sin.Moses lived in the desrt 40 years after he killed a man! Then he saw the holiness of God in the burning bush.Saul before he became Paul murdered before his salvation. So do not try to excuse cussing by pointing to them. You comments are confusing .

  • @joshG747 I refer to Al Yassou3Rabbi...if you look at his channel and some of the words he uses you can see why he says..'it does not matter what the condition your heart is in 'just as long as you said some sinners prayer years before.

  • @joshG747 its strange the comments that you have made towards someone whom i know personally has led many people to the Lord. When I read comments like yours made towards other Christians it saddens me. That sinners prayer that you have mentioned is the only way that you are getting into heaven, unless you know of another way besides Romans 10:9-10. You must be a Catholic leaning on works alone to get you in.

  • @joshG747 It seems by your own volution, that you are as guilty as those who you point fingers at. I will quote it for you

Col 3:8 But now you must rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips

Did you notice the part about slander?

Eph 2:8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.

Hmm.. by faith and not of works....

  • @exodus15i3kjv but if you have faith you will have works

  • @joshG747 If you carefully read the N.T. grace saves us from sin not in sin and it teaches us to say no to sin.2 Cor7:1 commands us to cleanse ourselves from alL filthiness of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God".This includes sins of the heart, attitude, words and conduct. The Apostle said 'all'.Just because we are saved does not make us soft on sin in our own lives. The tongue reveals the spiritual condition of our hearts. We must examine ourselves to see if we are in the faith

  • We all sin, we ALL fall short of the glory of God. That is why we require a mediator with the Father, that is why our sins are covered with the precious blood of a risen savior, because, there is no way that we can make it on our own. Paul said concerning sin, that which I hate (sin) I do. He also made it clear that he considered himself the chief of sinners. Am I a better Christian then Paul. Do I also require an advocate with the Father. You damn right I do.

    God bless.

  • great video series on this so far Bro i hope you don't mind i added this to a playlist on my channel

  • All these verses can apply to using profanity and vulgar words that were created by sinful man not God. Many will get defensive because they use profanity and will not stop it. Takes a small mind to 'cuss'!! These verses talk about controling the tongue.James says if you cannot control it you religion is worthless!!Matthew says its what comes out of the mouth that defiles it.Could you imagine pastors using lewd words in the pulpit? How about the apostles? NO WAY!!

  • @mistercommentman Who is the creator of evil mistercommentman? I will give you a hint, you can find it here

    Isaiah 45:7

Can a man who cusses and uses vulgarity be considered a righteous man by God?

Maybe you should read 2Peter 2:7, before you restrict God in his ability to work thru the vilest of men

    Is a murderer vile?

Paul, Moses, Samson, David, the list goes on, were all murderers, Murder might be a worse sin to overlook then cussing, yet God forgave it

You should try doing the same

  • Gosh again im not worthy;(,I am just as your vid says;(.....How do I fix this?I have noticed since hanging with the gals again,im swearing etc, never blasphamy no way,but im the most useless christian in the world! But I believe I no Jesus is as real as me,if any1 can help me I would apreciate any advice,my life is not good atm ;( xxtootsxx

  • @floydgirl7 Do you know the story of the Exodus of the Jews out of Egypt? God commanded the people, Jew and Egyptian to place blood on the lentil of the doorstep. If God looked down and viewed that blood, the first born in that house was spared regardless if they kept the law of God. This is a typology of Christ. When you accept Christ as your savior, you are covered with that same blood of the lamb. It does not matter the condition of your heart as long as you have made that choice...

  • @floydgirl7 If you recall during the judgment seat of Christ, we are purged or baptized with fire. All the wood, hay and stubble is burned away, revealling your works. If you recall, some are saved yet so by fire, They have nothing to offer to Christ but their belief and acceptance in him. It also goes on to say that some will suffer loss. There is times when the Christian believer falls... the important thing is you pick yourself back up.

There are no worthless Christians my friend.

  • @floydgirl7 God bless you.You can be free from cussing .You can do all things thru Christ! We have to be serious about any sin we struggle with and make 'every effort' to stop and get rid of any besetting sin! If you seek the Lord about it DAILY and seek to apply self-control over the emotions that prompt you to swear you will get the victory over it.And when you fail ask forgiveness.

  • Fantastic video! Thank you and may our Lord Jesus Christ come soon.

  • Does the word" herion or cocaine' have to be in the bible in order to say it is a sin to use these drugs?? Cant you use the scriptures that say your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit and your body should be a living sacrifice and use them to apply to drug abuse??Of course you can!! These scriptures are great and you sure can apply them to profanity.Makes me wonder if you cuss yourself and want to justify it.This comment is for 'webfryes'.

  • @CaribbeanBlueSea We live is a sad day when 'professing christians' will think its just fine to curse and swear! There are scores of scriptures that tell us to watch what we say.Profanity is not godly!!! And we should repent of it. Proverbs says get rid of PERVERSE SPEECH!! 'OUT OF THE ABUNDANCE OF THE HEART THE MOUTH SPEAKS'...GARBAGE IN GARBAGE OUT!!

  • The comments from WEBFRYES seem kind of strange. Its not just how you use words but many words are CORRUPT and CUSSING should be condemned by ALL Christians.Does God have to give you a list of curse words in the bible for you to know they are wrong??Come on,if the words are not pure do not utter them. The statement about "syllables comes off as immature".It is clear from the video that profanity is a sin. This explain scriptures and does not go beyond it.!!! Everybody knows its wrong!! Amazing.

  • What is the bible saying corrupt words are? and then answer the question. If you just take your opinion of what corrupt words are, or the general public's opinion of what corrupt words are and then slap that bible verse on top of it you have made your own law.

  • Because do you realize what happened? It said "let no corrupt word come out of your mouth", and then you took your interpretation of what a corrupt word was (f-word, d-word, a-word, etc..) and applied it to that text. It doesn't work like that. You have to interpret the text from itself.

  • Thank you for posting this, I'm really trying to only use my tongue for blessing. Not just the foul stuff, but being critical, disliking others. So many issues and problems start with the tongue.

  • What a powerful video. This is very true in this sinful world. I admit that sometimes I have cursing words in my language these days. I will try and make my language clean and loving to others. This video has blessed me and showed me how to improve my everyday language. Us Christians should stay away from all profanity. God is good to us, all the time! Thanks for sharing.

    Amen...

  • Psalm 141:3 is my prayer and Ecc 5:2 is a reminder.

  • from now on im keeping my conversations clean. if not for this vid id never had known that swearing is a sin

  • In a day where the courts have just ruled that they can curse on TV and pretty much say anything they want now, I think this is a topic that should be taken more serious by many people. To claim to be saved and still speak this way is a FALSE salvation and when you stand before God you will hear Mat 7:21-23 spoken to you. God took my filthy mouth away the MINUTE I was saved. As He does with ALL truly saved people. Though we may have a slip here and there it one would repent ASAP of it!!!

  • @RealityCheckMin As a drug addict I COULD CUSS THE 'BARK OFF A TREE'.I enjoyed and loved the sin of profanity and used it like a weapon.Seems like every other word was 'foul and nasty'! When JESUS saved me he made me a 'new man' and set me free from this wickedness of cursing! I despise this sin of profanity that pollutes the air we breathe from a culture that cant sink much lower.Greives me deeply when I hear profane talk from anyone.Thank you for watching brother.Bro.David.

  • @aflame4God I would totally agree with you and I too was HORRIBLY foul mouthed. Although I did respect my parents and never cursed around them I was terrible everywhere else.

It literally fell off when Christ re-created me and I was thankful. I have slipped here and there at times and it sounds like a foreign language or something. "Oh I am so sorry please forgive me I did not mean to say that at all." Is the NEXT thing that follows it too. Thankfully I need not do that often. Blessings

  • @RealityCheckMin To many 'cussing' is a minor issue, but the bible says otherwise.Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks!Paul set the standard very high in EPH4:29" LET NO CORRUPT WORD COME OUT OF YOUR MOUTH."People notice a person who does not use foul laguage and in some ways it gains them respect!People who know me will say,"Pardon my french"because they no I DO NOT CURSE but then they will proceed to cuss! GO FIGURE.Some refrain from it in my presence which is a good thing.

  • @aflame4God Amen brother I would agree with ya for sure. Sadly others don't see this or they are a part of that "Emergent Church" that believes we should look like, act like, and be like the world in every way but still call our selves "Christians" PFFT!

    Blessings

  • @aflame4God Eph. 4:29 - "let no corrupt word come out of your mouth". What determines a corrupt word? Certainly the syllables "eff, yoo, see, kay" are not in themselves corrupt or God would have written it in the Bible. I think it is how you use the word that makes it corrupt, which your video hits on. It would do you well to consider what words are "wrong" or not so that you don't go beyond scripture.

  • @webfryes Thank you for your comments. This video deals with profanity as it could also go into the area of gossip, lies, backbiting etc.The scriptures are inspired of God and we apply them in each generation and culture. Some words in themself are lewd and vulgar and profane and the ones used today date back some 500 years and were considered 'filthy and corrupt' by christians back then.Ehp4:29 can apply beyond just cuss words.Profanity and vulgar words would be considered 'idle words' .

  • @webfryes Just as there was no TV back in the bible days we can use scriptures to apply to our viewing habits.Heavy metal music of course is not written about in the bible. But if the 'content' of TV,MUSIC AND WORDS is vulgar and lewd and profane then we of course must apply GODS WORD to our generation.Phil4:8"Whatever things are true, noble, just, pure, lovely, good report...'This is a biblical standard that can be applied to our words, thoughts, music, movies every area of our lives.God bless you.

  • @aflame4God Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness? Why? becuase that which you listen to or those that you hang around is who you will ack like.

  • @sparwood8

What does "believe" mean to you? Just a mental assent? Like the demons who believe and tremble? Do you believe Jesus when He tells you to pluck your eye out if you lust because you are on your way to hell for it? Matt5:28

Do you believe Him when He tells you that a good tree cannot produce bad fruit?

Do you believe Him when He says go and sin no more?

Or do you believe a preacher who tells you that we are all sinners and no one can do what Jesus commands?

  • @jforsy01

Are you trying to cross examine me? Do you want my testimony? Do you want my loyalty? You can be a real pain, and I am getting tired of this.

Go to my channel and check my songs, and comments and judge for yourself. OBTW you sin every day, but are just too proud to admit it.

  • @sparwood8 Dear brothers, please take youe debate by Personal Message for the comments have no longer on the topic of the video.Thank you.Bro.David.

  • @sparwood8

There is no way we are saved by our own righteousness that's for sure, but if you are not found righteous by Him you will not inherit His kingdom.

1Co 6:9 Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived.

Your doctrine cannot answer truthfully about who these verses speak to. You must be righteous, not by the false doctrine of imputation but by Christ working righteousness in your life. If you have sin at all in your life you will burn.

  • @sparwood8

Jesus Christ has set me free from my sin. I was enslaved to my sin and believing I was a Christian because I was deceieved by false teachers. I mean you no ill, I only seek to point you to the truth that we must overcome sin to inherit eternal life.

The way you phrased your comment led me to believe you think sinners will enter heaven so I sought to help you.

It is almost impossible to find a church that teaches truth. We must seek God by denying our sin or we won't find Him.

  • AMEN! it's so difficult to guard and tame our tongue.for me it is the deadliest part of our body.so small yet, it can take us to destruction both body and soul.

a true christian should always be aware of every word that comes out from his/her mouth.by the help of the HOLY SPIRIT a cussing tongue will turn into a blessing tongue!

THANK U SO MUCH brod for the vids you send to me! i always appreciated it!

    GOD BLESS!

  • We were so careful when our sons were young, that they thought the "S word" was "stupid!" The older one is still very careful with his speech and almost never utters a curse word. The younger one brought extreme profanity into our home and uses it casually. Not to make excuses, but it's almost like a plague and contagious...it spreads throughout the home when one member brings it in! Now I have a bad problem and thank you for this convicting video! I know better and I will do better!

  • where's part 2

  • I cant wathc the whole vid but just wanted to say I fully agree. Before I was saved every other word seemed to be a cuss word. Now the change is so noticable that people actually apologize when they cuss around me. It is like they know that it is innapropriate when they cuss in front of me. I know that it is just me, but they seem to get a conviction and appologize! We know who that conviction is really from. It is that noticable when somneones abstinant from profanity!

  • @mrskittkitt GREAT COMMENTS.Our speech should be so pure and sound that it will convict the lost.Yes people will notice those whose talk is wholesome and not profane. We can do all thing thru Christ and that includes the control of our tongue.

  • VERY well done. This one was from God, to me. My mouth is dirty, for someone saved and born again. I have said things on U Tube that are downright trashy. I have said things in traffic that are worse, and all the while... Jesus is right there with me, listening to it. Thanks be to God for his mercy. Thank you for this message, it hit me' between the eyes' Yes I am saving this one

  • @sparwood8

Jas 1:26 If anyone among you thinks he is religious, and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this one's religion is useless.

1Jn 2:4 He who says, "I know Him," and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him

1Pe 4:18 Now "IF THE RIGHTEOUS ONE IS SCARCELY SAVED, WHERE WILL THE UNGODLY AND THE SINNER APPEAR?"

This is a salvation issue friend. If you have not overcome sin you are not saved, many churches lie and deceive 1Cor6:9

  • @jforsy01 You might think I am blunt with you. When a Christian admits a sin or weakness, perhaps a better response is to offer to pray fo rhim, or try and encourage him in that area of his life.

What sins do YOU struggle with?

  • @sparwood8

I appreciate your bluntness friend. I apologize if my words have offended you. I only meant to help. But...if you see someone sinning it's a sure sign they are NOT a Christian for that would be a contradiction of terms. We should seek to save sinners from death

Jas5:19 Brethren if anyone AMONG YOU wanders from the truth, and someone turns him back

Jas5:20 let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save a soul from death and cover a multitude of sins.

  • @jforsy01 Yes but... we all sin. My worst sin isn't the occasional bad language. That only happens when I am not walking in the spirit. My worst sin is the sin of PRIDE. and I still learn how subtle this thing is and how deeply it is rooted. Because I am a christian; I hate the sin that I do. paul said much the same thing. We can never approach perfection in this life, but the blood of Jesus declares us to be righteous. People wrestle with their sin, but Jesus came to give us abundant life

  • @sparwood8

We do not all sin. Christians do not sin. This is the deception of today's church. Only sinners believe this, obviously. You deny Jesus' commands to be perfect like your Father and to go and sin no more

John says he who sins is of the devil and he who says he knows Him and does not obey His commands is a liar and you deny this

You have no answer to these scriptures along with all the others I have sent you and you cling to what satan's ministers have taught you Repent or perish

  • This is soooo true and convicting. As a Christian, I do find myself cursing alot & I know that shouldn't be. How can we (Christians) say w/ our voice.mouth that we love someone, and then w/ the same mouth/voice speak hate & kill w/ it...? Pray for me. Thanks for sharing.

  • Good Video Bro David, I just posted it on Facebook. Thanks for making it, God Bless

  • Praise Y'SHUA. Amen! We don't realize that all forms of negative talk be it cussing or belittling and everything in between is devaluing a person. We certainly don't realize how deeply words can cut or build up ones self worth. If we are to live with CHRIST in us, we are to allow HIS true light to shine forth out of us. Powerful message and reminder, brother David, thank you for this video. May Y'SHUA continue to guide, direct, and bless you and us all upon HIS narrowing path. <(^8

  • People who are christians exhibit this because they were arrested in development. They were wounded before the age of language and this is how they lash out. There is a Christian man who has developed a way we can fix this. The world's system tells us it cannot be fixed. But it is fixable if you are teachable . Doctor Paul Hegstrom from Life Skill International taught me this information.

  • Outstanding Video!! WWJD? "What Would Jesus Do (or say) ???

    THUMB'S UP!

  • I unsub from channel's where people curse. I don't watch movies or TV shows or anything that has curses in it.

As children of God we need to protect our eyes and ears from all evil.

Everyone will be held accountable for all their words, deeds/actions and thoughts.

    God Bless

  • God bless you, great video.

Sadly, too many people think it is cute when a child uses profanity. They hear it, then giggle, and laugh and say,"Did you hear what that kid just said?" Since children thrive upon attention, this encourages them to do it more. There are a lot of 'professing Christians' that think it's funny for kids to swear. Because of humanism in the visible church buildings, they are taught that we will always sin, and profanity isn't as bad as murder, or rape. Very grievous!

  • This is a very timely and much-needed message.

I have heard "Christians" say things on Youtube (and everywhere else) that make me cringe. A professing Christian should never speak or act as the world does:

God says "Come out from them and be seperate".

We are to be "a peculiar people".

If we speak and act as the world does we must really question our own Christian walk.

God bless you! ...And let us keep our hearts and minds pure lest we utter profanities too.

  • As Christians we should refrain from all "unclean" things.

Profanity is a big one that we need to look out for.

I know many Christians who cuss and just say "God forgives me" or "He knows my heart" but still continue to do it and not even try to keep it in check.

I had to keep my self in check and still do sometimes when I get mad or surprised.

  • Psalm 19:14

Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.

  • This is a very good video.

  • David, Great vid. If we would realize that we are going to be held for every idle word,It would make such a difference on how we talk to others. Amazing job on this video!

  • thank you so much for making this video. I have been gossiped about , lied about and people say hateful things just because I show concern for others

  • @elizer3 We are going through that this week. Just did a vid on it. I will send to you.

  • when people use bad language it is sometimes to show the disgust of others, instead christians need to pray for those who are wicked. We need to set a better example

  • Good video needs to be shared ! If we say we are Christians and we are cussing there is a problem!!

    God Bless you

  • Dear brother in Christ. I do enjoy your videos very much also. I hope you don't mind me sharing them since I read something somewhere else and I don't know for sure if I can.... I got a little concerned. God Bless you...

  • @bellereve1 FEEL FREE to share them with anyone. You can favorite them, send them out,put on facbook, myspace etc.Sharing videos is a good way to minister to others. You have a good selection on your channel.May God use you as a vessel of honor and for His glory.Bro.David.

  • @aflame4God

Very well, I hear you and will not yield to temptation (by God's grace) to respond to abuses in like manner. A very timely and enlightening video. Thanks.

  • Excellent video! *****

  • So amazing and this video should hopefully be seen by all who call themselves Christians!! I cannot stand to hear anyone "curse and swear "but when they say that are dedicated to the Lord but freely use foul words it makes you wonder!!!Its never cool or macho to cuss!! Alot of tongues need to be born again!! Thumbs up and a favorite.HOPE MANY WILL SHARE THIS VIDEO WITH FRIENDS.

  • @JesusIsMyAnswer Yes when you receive a new life and are born of God and the HOLY SPIRIT dwells in you and you have a clean conscience in Jesus you will have a new power and new desires that sets you free from sin ,including profanity. We do not have to swear and use profanity...we must obey God and make godly efforts to rid our selves of ALL ungodly speech.Satan and the world cannot force use to curse. Its a sinful habit that we must overcome. We are responsible for our words.God bless you!

  • Cussing belongs to the old life of sin! 4 letter words are all to common among believers.Things have gotten worse over the years. We must speak the language of the kingdom. The language of righteousness. The video makes you want to be more careful about whay we say.As MumzyTube says....NO EXCUSES!! I would think that even new Christians would know profanity is wrong,at least I did. Even the ungodly know they are 'taboo' AND USE THE WORDS FOR SHOCK VALUE! We must walk in the light.

  • Hey, great video, nothing Holy about profanity. In my many years as a Christian I have let go occasionally BUT the conviction was very quick, and I would repent quickly. I can only imagine how hard it is for those who have to work in the workplace/ public schools etc. I think the key word, though, isn't 'true Christians', it should be 'mature' Christians. For many swearing is really an 'addiction,' they need daily Word, teaching/and HS conviction. We need to pray for them to b.set free

  • THank you for the video brother Dave. I must admit that I have been using thses words a bit too much my self as of late. I'll continue to seek God's advise and repent of using such language.

  • Great video!

    God bless you

    Through His blood.

  • Great background pics

  • Excellent video, but what's more amazing is that I after I read my Bible this morning and prayed to God to help me with my profanity - i come home only to have this speific video in my inbox :)

  • For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men. It teaches us to say "No" to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope—the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ.

    Excellent post~Thank You

    ~Peace of Christ~

  • the tounge can be either a terrible weapon, and hurt people, or a comforting healer, when speaking the word of God, let it ALWAYS be the latter!

  • Yeah this is something I try to work on now that I'm walking in the Lord. It really seems to be going well too! I really thought it would be something I would struggle more with. I'm feeling the change though. We all slip and fall sometimes, I just try to stand up and dust myself off and try again.

  • I cringe when I hear cursing. When someone uses the Lords name in vain I feel like I have been stabbed in my heart.I tell that person immediately why I dont like it.

  • wow, good video and full of truth. I have a whole bunch of people I am sending this to.

  • Is it ok for Pastors to say such things as "what the heck" or "dangit" in their messages from the pulpit? Because lately I have been hearing such things. It causes me to cringe and I feel great concern for others in the congregation being offended.

  • This has BLESSED & Taught me alot ABUNDANTLY thanx 4 sharing; I truly didn't like it, I LOVED it!!! GOD BLESS YOUUU ABUNDANTLY!!!!! Keep speaking words of Wisdom! :)

  • This has BLESSED & Taught me alot ABUNDANTLY thanx 4 sharing; I truly didn't like it, I LOVED it!!! GOD BLESS YOUUU ABUNDANTLY!!!!! Keep speaking words of Wisdom! :)

  • The true and the false will cohabit until the return of Christ (Parable of wheat and tares) .From the parable of the soils, 3 soils/individuals supposedly believe;only one is a true christian bearing fruits, and truly regenerated. Like the 7 churches of Rev2-3, the intemingling of christian/non christian, and even false teachers inside the church determines the impact of the church.Test reveal character: Persecution, adversity, ability to accept the cross with joy. Regeneration, not reformation.

  • We Americans slay the english laguage daily! I have no respect for anyone who uses the ' F" word or the 'BS' word or the 'GD' word or using "damn and hell' as cuss words.Hell is a real place and using it to vent your anger is pathetic.Christians who say 'Shove it' or you "a------ hole" need to get rid of this garbage talk.'Friggen' and 'Freakin' is equal to the 'F' WORD.Why use slang at all if the words are related to cursing?.If you are a Christian THESE WORDS ARE OFFENSIVE and unclean!!

  • Eph5:15"See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise." A WISE MAN WILL CHOOSE HIS WORDS CAREFULLY AND A FOOL WILL BE CARELESS WITH HIS WORDS! Circumspect means to be careful and cautious before acting and speaking. Here is part of our problem. We lack wisdom and we are reckless in our words.Profanity is wrong and most slang words relate to sexual acts or bodily functions. The ones that refer to God should be avoided completely.Gosh and Golly only have one meaning ,SLANG FOR GOD!!

  • @GodlyWorship What about "Oh My Goodness"? Would that be considered "slang for God"?

Even when I cussed like a sailor, I have been fairly wary of using cuss words that involve God or using God's name in vain. But if "Oh My Goodness" is off limits, that's interesting.........

There's a fine line between trying to be holy and legalistic, and I don't want to cross that line, but I want be 100% holy without the GODLESS legalistic standards as well. Sometimes it's hard to tell which is which.

  • your so right ,i have found that you have yo even pay att to cARTOONS YOUR KIDS WATCH ,THERE Is nudity and language.i am a logger and i ride with 4 to 6 people for two or three hours a day and it has a negative effect on my day hearing the volgarity constantly, often i wish i could just be at church every day and support my family that way

  • Since slang words are pretty much equal to profanity and vulgarties and would be considered 'idle, vain and useless, words'according to Matt12:36"On the day od judgement men will give account for every idle word they speak'.Thats Gods Standard not mans.God is HOLY and that adjetive should never be degraded into an slang word like 'holy cow' or worse 'holy sh..t".As Christians we should make every effort to replace profanity and slang with real words to communicate our feelings.5 stars!!

  • This is a topic rarely touched upon.Glad you made a video on it

  • We'll all be judged on the basis of our vocabulary.

  • It doesn't behove Christians to hurl expletives and invective at their neighbours, no matter how nasty they may be.

  • I definitely agree that we need to be careful in our language, though I am not certain I agree with all of your comments below. The video is pretty much right on though. My language is something I will be working on till the day I die, but one thing I know is, I would rather slip up occasionally than be rude and condemning to others, and I am not talking about you, but many others I know. That type of language is extremely harmful, and in fact, usually more so than a curse word.

  • great video thanks for sharing! God bless

  • so true... profanity shows our true colours.... it brings all the complete rainbow spectrum of truly who we are inside out...

    thanks for sharing bros David...

    keep the good works

    In Christ alone

    shalom!

  • Christians should stay away from any and all profanity.

  • People freely sling the word God all the time and without reverence and adoration. This is a sin that is grave and serious! The Greek word for GOD is 'Theos' and is used to refer the only true God.W.E.VINES says"The word was appropiated by the Jews and retained by Christians to denote the one true God.In the Sept. theos translates the hebrew words Elohim and Jehovah, the former indicating His power and pre-eminence,the latter His unoriginated immutable, eternal self -existence.'

  • Amen brother! ~ This is what NEEDS to be “said” More Often!

Reflecting on the verse below has helped me immensely many times, to keep my thoughts & words in “check”. .. (When I do slip …& we All Do @ times! ..the Holy Spirit is the first to let me know, prompting me to repent!)

“Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart

    Be acceptable in Your sight,

O LORD, my strength and my Redeemer.” (Psalm 19:14)

  • Amen!! Good video

  • Great, Great, teaching Bro. Dave! I am sharing this message on facebook also.

  • One of the 10 commandments is, "Thou shall not kill." Which doesn't always mean physically. Harmful words to another person is like sticking a sword through their heart. Think about it, you are killing their spirit, you end up ruining their identity, their dignity, and possibly their faith. Good video! God Bless+ + +

  • I agree :) but it is a tough fight, after a lifetime of talking with a cursing tongue. I have to ask my husband not to say nasty words in front of me, reminding him that I'm a mouthalcoholic.... I've gotten pretty good at holding back but I do have a question, is holy cow or holy anything just as bad?

Awesome video and God Bless you for sharing...
