As far as the SSR goes, it was so popular and such a success, it was discontinued due to lack of interest. Trying to trade one in on a new GM has proven to be pretty funny too. The dealerships don't want anything to do with them. So you pay $40k and are offered $13 three years later. Some demand. Some investment. The proof is in the numbers. RIP GM.

The SSR is a fun-to-drive truck/sportster, and that's all it's really good at because that's all it was really made for. I suppose it was more of a "we can build this cool concept truck" exercise for GM, but I still think it's a helluva truck for a good burnout..

Amen to that! Unfortunately mine's an automatic w/ 5.3 supercharged ('03). One thing though, those rear tires are hard to find - so I've heard - haven't needed to replace mine yet.
