@1gencummins larger fuel lines, better fuel pump, and a tuner would help these are just basic stuff but there are alot of other things you can do to make it sound real nice
@dwitter19 Dont quote me on this but, there is a like a half year where dodge put the 24v in solid rear door dodge. I'm pretty sure about this, but it wasn't done very long. One of my friends calls these trucks the rare valve
@vachamps i no in 98.5 is when they put the 24v in and in 98 when the 12v's were in they had the opening rear doors but i never knew there was a 24v with solid rear door
@vachamps they put no 24 valves in solid back door trucks. they started that in 98 because they have 12 valves with doors that open and it stayed that way until 02.
people who dont know shit about cummins should not comment on this video, my truck lopes the same way for all you retards out there cams dont make diesels lope, and hes not hitting the gas, its called FUEL. GO COMMENT ON SOME VIDEOS OF TOYOTA PRIUS'S U MORONS
Sounds like someones in there hittin the pedal to me, I could be wrong, but I can make my buddys 1980 F250 with a 4.9 do the same thing and it's far from havin a big cam
rednekfordgrl... Dont feel bad, alot if people get this wrong, even alot of Dodge guys. This is a 3rd gen Cummins, 2nd gen started in '94 with the P-pumped 12 valve engine.
the cross over tubes can also make a truck lope. injectors crossover tubes and big fuel lines can get u tht hard lope mine loapes harder then tht tho i got unrated injectors outragous crossover tube 1/2 in lines quadzilla adrenaline stacked with a smarty with the tnt unlock 5 spd 66mm turbo with a 12mm exhaustside(quickspool setup) 4 in down pipe head worked pullin cam and the big output shaft and more workand its slippin a 800hp kennys single disk pullin clutch
6.5 and the 6.2 are absolute TOILETS! probably the worst motors to ever be put in a truck, next to the 6.oh no it broke again, no power the only good thing about them is the fuel economy. but ill take power over fuel economy any day, which is why i own a CUMMINS! ive had both the 6.5 and 6.2 nothing but problems
@72milesman Haha I am a qualified diesel tech (don't believe me, T2 and T8 ASE certified look it up, 3 years training, and wayy too many hours actually working) and this is how a few truck I worked over for friends sound, P-7100 pump rebuilt by me, compound turbos, studded, fireringed, light and strong alloy connecting rods, etc etc.... you get the point.
@72milesman College and tech school, yeah. Im not counting my online training, or all those weeks i was sent for company training for various things. What do you expect a PhD? Associates Degree in diesel technology. What training do you have?
@outalinecowboy Don't get your panties in a wad. I am a consultant for Cummins.
Boys, a cummins is a heavy engine. If you are going to continue to try to soup em up at least install a scatter blanket on the firewall.
I don't blame you for wanting to have fun. However a better goal I feel, is obtaining higher hp/t while maintaining a smooth idle. That is very marketable.
I was on the team that produced the first 7 second q/m diesel powered car. It was rough, nasty, and dangerous! Best Regards.
@72milesman Well we had the firewalls reinforced, cable looped over head, tranny blanket, all the safety things. I've seen everything from connecting rods, to turbo turbine schrapnel to transmission gears end up in the cab with the driver, I don't think safety should be skipped. But a lope never hurt anything, as long as the lope fades with higher RPM. Its all in the timing, Most pulling trucks and tractors lope, some really hard. All it is, is timing, or severe hunting, or even high degree cams
its not a problem with the motor, he probably has a set of big lines, big connector tubes, and either a big pump. there is nothig wrong with the motor itself, its just pushin more fuel than air.
nothin is wrong with his truck he has either bigger injector or connector tubes either .093 or .084 or he has a monstervp44 on the truck sounds healthy
that thing either has a bad injector, a bad injector pump, or a bent push rod to lope like that. I know the 903 and 555 cummins had a loping problem with their injector pumps. It had something to do with a spring in the pump getting gummed up and cold starts made it worse.
You guys know what is funny. I know my honda is a p.o.s. I just like watching retards talk shit on youtube. And yes i do know how much power that thing is putting out and it is godly. btw when i watched this video i also jizzed

thats because most people dont know how to drive a diesel they just start it and go the 6.5L and 6.2L are the best diesels ever built if u know how to treat them u have to warm the glow plugs up for at least 12secones minimum to 1minute and let it reach operateing temp before getting on it all the people i know that call them pices of shit ive seen them get in cold start it without even letting the glow plugs finish cycleing and they just rev the shit out of it i even let my gas 350 warm up 1st

@DRNEGOLICIS Are you stupid a cummins is rated one on the best Diesels in the world a wore out cummins puts out more HP and Tqe that a 6.2L and a 6.5L could ever dream of. @bryce3685 the 6.2L and 6.5L were not based off a gas engine block GM detroit engine division came up with the whole new block specificly for heavy duty diesel purposes how ever it is simular to a 396 series big block 4bolt main but its is its own animal it is not a gas engine block it is a true diesel enigne block built from scratch has completely different specs and tollerences it actualy is a stronger block than that of the gas
@DRNEGOLICIS ya your rite the first chev deisels were based off the a big block gas engine the 6.2 and 6.5 took ideas from that engine when buildin new block but ya still a motor that was not well designed cooling problems i had glow plug issuses dont no if any body else did but fough a lot of dead plugs all the time hard cold starts and when its -40 that means NO START and for me no work
@bryce3685 probably the controler my 6.9 had the old shotgun style with 6v plugs n it arced n exploded n at work id constantly replace the new style controlers which were junk n expensive the gms i replaced alot of the brains on the pumps for 6.5s but not too many controllers i bypassed mine by neccessity of course to a toggle switch

@DRNEGOLICIS a cam aint gunna give you a crazy lope like a gas engine deisels all about the fuel delivery you can shut off injectors like in the smarty 3 cylinder high idle if its computer controlled injection system and do all sorts of idle stuff deisels are deffenatley a lil bit differnt the gasers
@McFadinbullhauler11 kinda maybe but kinda nasty ha ha i realy think this truck in the vid was haveing injector pump trouble or maybe even bad injectors
i got a airdog 100 and edge on my 06 cummins and it sound exactly like his dose in the video. its all about the fuel that the engine is getting thats it.
its not a bigger turbo that causes the lope, he either has a hrvp pump or a monster pump, including larger inectors, and .093 or larger connector tubes.. turbo has nothing to do with lope
He said tubes, not turbo. HRVP are garbage... too many issues. Monster pump is the way to go. You can get lope on a stock VP44 with just bigger tubes... even more lope with bigger tubes and lines. Th old Monster pumps would lope like this just by themself, hes now designed them to be not near as lopey... which sucks because I LOVE the sound of a lopey 24v!
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
my 06 lopes like that all i got is edge and air intake and a straight pipe. all about how fast the fuel is getting to the block thats all and oo also having a power house cummins under the hood didnt hurt as well.
ur vp is about shot........ its not big enough to provide pressure to bigger lines or tubes...... you dont need bigger lines or tubes unless ur going with 240+ injectors....

I have a hrvp, with 150 injectors, and ur sayin all i gotta do is put .120 crossover tubes and itll idle like that?? WICKED!!!
RYC18MACK 2 years ago
If your running bigger injectors and a hrvp or monster and .093 or .120 crossover tubes, it will lope. And no the pump isnt going out. haha

i got a airdog 100 and edge on my 06 cummins and it sound exactly like his dose in the video. its all about the fuel that the engine is getting thats it.
cumminsman101 3 years ago
I am a total ford fan, but I do love the cummins! Sweet engine!
PWRSTR0KER2008 3 years ago 4
its the bigger tubes that do it. nice truck dude sounds awesome...
hearmecummin 3 years ago 2
its not a bigger turbo that causes the lope, he either has a hrvp pump or a monster pump, including larger inectors, and .093 or larger connector tubes.. turbo has nothing to do with lope
gafireman5624 3 years ago
He said tubes, not turbo. HRVP are garbage... too many issues. Monster pump is the way to go. You can get lope on a stock VP44 with just bigger tubes... even more lope with bigger tubes and lines. Th old Monster pumps would lope like this just by themself, hes now designed them to be not near as lopey... which sucks because I LOVE the sound of a lopey 24v!

my 06 lopes like that all i got is edge and air intake and a straight pipe. all about how fast the fuel is getting to the block thats all and oo also having a power house cummins under the hood didnt hurt as well.

tsullivan85 3 years ago
great looking truck. Love the green. Sounds awesome
1DieselFuelOnly1 3 years ago
ur vp is about shot........ its not big enough to provide pressure to bigger lines or tubes...... you dont need bigger lines or tubes unless ur going with 240+ injectors....
blondeguy08 3 years ago
it's the big lines causeing it to lope, not the vp dying, if he's smart he has a fass or airdog aftermarket fuel pump too
sfhoiles 3 years ago
yeah it has a fass with 200 horse injectors
tsullivan85 3 years ago
could be the fass.... how old is the fass?
blondeguy08 3 years ago
it was the bigger injector lines causin it lope like that cause ive done took em off an it dosent lope any more my fass has nothin to do with it
tsullivan85 3 years ago
@tsullivan85 yeah i bet
xXFmxKingXx 1 year ago
@blondeguy08 Not the fass, a fass system wont put more fuel into your engine, just make sure it can get all it needs
kawirider206 1 year ago
